Systemless in a Parallel World

193 Hero Spirits and Infernals

The Demon Overlords had been annihilated until none of them was left, less than 300 Demon Adel were left alive and only 6 Infernal Demons could stand on their own feet. On the other hand, the Blessed had only encountered four casualties.

However, those four Blessed had received the strongest Blessings in the annals of the Era of Gods' Blessings. A single death was already enough to bring mayhem to mankind, yet four of them died on the same day, shortly after another.

Their lives had been reaped mercilessly and their Souls were taken. As for the Heroic Blessings that had been cast on the Blessed's Souls, they were imprisoned, corrupted, and torn out of the control range of the Gods.

Zayn took away their control and he manifested their Spirit when he found the necessary time. He killed as many opponents as possible, without showing the slightest bit of remorse. Everyone who was daring enough to attack him should understand that they would lose their life the moment they showed weakness in front of him.

Being able to summon the Spirits of four Heroic Soul Saints, and three Infernal Demons was unexpected, but it was certainly not a gift he would ever reject.

While he focused on slaughtering his enemies, the remaining five Heroic Soul Saints ran for their lives. Even if they were filled with greed, they weren't stupid. They understood that Zayn and his Normies were at an advantage. In the first place, their mission had been to rescue the kidnapped humans, not to kill some Normies or a Calamity-level threat. They hadn't been prepared to fight dozens of powerful Normies who were overflowing with energy, forget about the armies of the Demin King's subordinates.

That wasn't on their planet before. Thus, they hadn't been prepared. It was their mistake to be led by greed. Now that they were running away, understanding dawned upon them. They clearly understood that their lives had been on the line and that the Spiritmancer had been able to adjust quickly to the given situation.

"We need to prepare for an all-out war. I don't think that it's a good idea to leave this Spiritmancer alive. He is dangerous and he grows stronger much faster than any Blessed. That termite-like Spirit was able to produce orbs of compressed soul particles. These orbs are extremely precious, and it looks like they can be produced easily. Absorbing these orbs will allow him to grow even faster…we must fight him as soon as possible!" One of the surviving Soul Saints said.

The others agreed with a nod, but they had to return first to report. They didn't have a chance to fight and kill Zayn now that their comrades had been summoned as the Spiritmancer's Spirits. His strength increased enough to exceed theirs. Thus, they had to ally with all forces of mankind and come up with an army large enough to eliminate the Spirit Army and overwhelm the Spiritmancer as well.

"The Normies will probably fight by his side. Normie King was present, and I saw a few other higher authorities of the Normie Union fighting next to the Spiritmancer. It is obvious that they're trying their best to protect the Spiritmancer."

"I noticed the Normie Union's members as well. This is getting a little bit difficult. I think we will have to make a few rituals and sacrifices to our Gods. It is about time to strengthen our Blessings, and to call Him!" One of the oldest Heroic Soul Saints said.

The others looked at each other with serious expressions, one of them swallowing his saliva.

"Him? Are you sure about that? Isn't he in hibernation?"

"He said that we should wake him once something big happens. If the Gods didn't wake him yet, we should do it before it's too late!"

The conversation of the surviving Heroic Soul Saints continued until they arrived in human territory. They spread out to report the situation to all nobles, organizations, the government, and higher-ups of the military. Everyone who had to know about the Spiritmancer and his powers found out about it.

Most didn't want to believe that such a powerful Spiritmancer existed, but fact was that four Heroic Soul Saints had been killed and that everyone, who didn't believe the remaining survivors, could search for the truth in the Demon territory.

One way or another, Normies were now at an advantage. One of the shelters was half destroyed, countless Adventurers died during the last Natural Selection War of the Demonlings and fear spread through the human territory.

Everyone was afraid that other forces will attack mankind now that the Demonlings were able to barge through their defensive line for the first time since the shelters had been constructed.

Failing to protect human territory, the government had to come up with a way to reassure them that no further harm could infiltrate their lands. The Spiritmancer was a Normie. That meant he could enter the human territory and move to a place with little protection and many people before he would let loose his Army of Spirits.

It may not actually happen, but it was a possibility. It was not as if no terrorist attack ever happened. Even Blessed received missions to attack their own people every now and then. This was nothing too out of the ordinary.

Thus, the forces of humanity were quickly gathered and prepared for an all-out war against the biggest threat mankind had ever seen before; the Spiritmancer.

Nothing happened yet, but it was only a matter of time before the Spiritmancer would come their way. Mankind wanted to make sure that war would never come their way. If possible, they would give them all to make sure that the all-out war would start and end in the Demon King's territory.

Of course, that was also a little troublesome.

There were still some Demonlings left in the border regions and the Demon King wouldn't leave the Spiritmancer alone either. However, the Demon King's actions may actually turn into an opportunity for the Spiritmancer to grow stronger, and for his Army of Spirits to expand in size.

They had to prepare as quickly as possible to end the Spiritmancer before that could happen.

That way, three weeks passed until the combined forces of humanity entered the Demon territory for the first time with numbers ranging in the millions.

However, what they witnessed in the Demon territory shocked them to the core…

"What the hell…"
