This news was indeed a shock to both Elias and Miguel, and the shield that Miguel had put in place wavered even as Miguel realized what it meant...

He and Elias had always believed that this Dual Cultivation bond would not allow them to have children together, because the only couple before them who had possessed it had not had any.

Only that couple had died only a year after they had started to develop it, and he had died even earlier than them, so Alan and Erik were the first to have stayed with this bond for so long.

Elias then shouted: "Miguel, pull yourself together!"

Miguel then realized that the shield he'd put in place had become unstable due to all his emotions and after stabilizing it, he looked at Elias and said: "I'm sorry... So sorry..."

Once their shields were stabilized again, Elias came and hugged Miguel before telling him, as he knew Miguel wasn't apologizing for losing control of his emotions: "What you did back then, you did it to save us all. We didn't yet know the extent of my powers and what this bond could have brought us, we had no choice as we were already at war, you had done what you have to do, and..."

Elias put a hand on his stomach and said: "As soon as we eliminate this threat that hangs over the entire universe, I promise you that we will finally have this child that we've been longing for, all right?"

Miguel nodded and Elias then asked Axel: "Are you sure what you heard were really heartbeats?"

Axel then told them honestly: "When I was about to check it, a force I couldn't do anything about propelled me across the room. Alan told me it was their Dual Cultivation bond that had changed shape and sent me a kind of blast of energy... But even if I couldn't confirm that it was indeed heartbeats, I know what I saw.

There was a faint glow inside Erik's body, just where Alan had put his hand, and it was by concentrating on it that I thought I heard those heartbeats, and that's not all... Erik vomited several times and complained of a stomach ache, but that's impossible, isn't it? Has a Warrior spirit ever been sick before?"

Elias shook his head and said: "This is the first time..., and all the symptoms are there, fuck, we told them that they couldn't have children with this bond, and now..."

He then looked at Miguel, who nodded: "I want to see it for myself too, and if Erik is really pregnant, we'll have to take him to Esme, she's the only one who can help us, since this has never happened before."

Elias nodded and Axel asked them: "Who's Esme?"

Axel then said: "You mean the Goddess of love and fertility, the one who made the potion that will allow you to have children?"

Elias and Miguel nodded and suddenly Atlas, Jordan and Ian came out of their meditation and Miguel told them: "Sorry guys, but there's kind of an emergency, so we're going to have to cut short your training, which couldn't have lasted much longer anyways."

Atlas then asked them as he stood up: "Do you need our help?"

Elias shook his head and said: "Everyone go and see Lena so that she can prevent you from having any negative effects and then rest, that's an order!"

Miguel then opened a transdimensional portal directly inside their shields that would take them to Lena and Atlas and Jordan stepped through it without further ado while Ian asked looking at Axel, worried: "Is there a problem with one of our friends?"

Axel then told him: "It's Alan and Erik, but nothing serious, don't worry, I'll let you know when I know more about it."

Ian finally nodded and went through the transdimensional portal, because if it was Alan and Erik, he'd just have to contact them directly to find out what was going on.

The transdimensional portal closed just behind Ian and Miguel, Elias and Axel teleported first into the prison dimension before teleporting outside the Royal Suite where Alan and Erik lived.

Axel knocked on the door and when he heard no answer, he carefully opened it and heard Erik throwing up, which explained why Alan hadn't answered.

Axel then opened the door wide and motioned for Miguel and Elias to follow him, because knowing Alan, he must have been worried sick about Erik.

When Axel knocked on the bathroom door, which had been left ajar, he said to Alan and Erik: "I've brought Elias and Miguel, guys..."

Alan then said looking at them, still supporting Erik who had turned very pale: "This crisis is more violent than the last one... Do you have any idea what's happening to him, I thought Warrior Spirit couldn't get sick or be poisoned..."

Elias then said as he approached them: "Don't worry Alan, Erik isn't ill or poisoned..."

Alan then looked at him with a look that said clearly, 'You've got to be kidding me', so Elias said after clearing his throat because, like Axel, he didn't really know how to tell them this news that was going to turn their lives upside down: "Alan... Actually, we think Erik's pregnant and we'd like to check it out if you don't mind? Let us help you."

Alan repeated then shocked: "Pregnant? Erik's pregnant... But you told us that this bond won't allow us to have children?"

Miguel then told him: "Apparently we were wrong... Axel saw something glowing inside Erik and he heard heartbeats, but since he is not 100% sure of what he heard he came to find us."

Miguel then said to him: "For Erik's sake, and maybe for your baby's sake, let us check, we can help you."

Erik then said leaning against Alan body: "Let them check Alan, if I'm really pregnant then we have to know how the baby is..."
