"B-but…." Jiang Ying Yue bit her lower lip and glanced at her happy son playing with his feline cousin.

Little Jun and Popcorn were preoccupied with the new toys given by their Uncle Yehan. They were in the playroom.

Something warm stirred in Jiang Ying Yue's heart at the joyful scene in front of her. Even though she was not always very confident in herself, she had grown a lot as a woman and as a person ever since becoming friends with Iris.

All of her friends in the girl squad were all incredible and talented people. She always thought that she was the worst among them in all aspects. However, being with them for this long made her gradually realize that she was also special in her own way.

"Uhm…do you…are you…." Jiang Ying Yue's face and neck burned as she struggled to get the words out.

Lin Yehan waited patiently.

"Are you…interested in m-me?" Her face burned hotter. But now that the words were out, the next words flowed out more smoothly. "You're always messaging me and calling me. Now you're visiting me and my son almost every day. I can't help but have these thoughts that maybe…you l-like me."

Although she already somewhat expected this, it still shocked her when she heard him confess with his own mouth.

Lin Yehan stepped forward until he stood right in front of her. She was frozen in place. She could only stare at him in shock.

"I originally wanted to let you know about my feelings slowly through my actions, but it seems that you already noticed," he told her. "This saves time."

Her heart was thumping hard inside her chest. She almost choked from her own sharp inhale.

"Miss Ying Yue, will you give me the chance to openly court you?" he asked.

His tone remained gentlemanly as usual but Jiang Ying Yue thought that he sounded seductive just now.

"C-court me?"

"Yes. Please give me a chance to prove that my feelings for you are real. I care about you, Miss Ying Yue. I also care about your son, Little Jun. I hope that you won't push me away but instead allow me get closer to you until you decide whether or not to accept me into the lives of both you and your son."
