Chapter 81 – Teens Mimics Parkour Video Game and Climb Florida Man House, Get Shot and Arrested

Cat emerged from the dark and pulled 30 cultivators to the ground. Using the newly grown thorn vines, she slammed them to the ground.

Getting hit by the absurd dryad, the cultivators stopped being discreet and pulled out their weapons.

"It's do or die! KILL!"

"We're not afraid of you! DIE!!"

The Ouyang clansmen unleashed their elemental attacks. As they were from the intelligence unit, they came prepared. Fire beams, fireballs, fire lances, and flame swords appeared and rained upon Cat.

The chomper dryad giggled and pulled 10 of the cultivators toward her. Her speed surpassed their attack speed, causing the 10 men to reach her first. Then, Cat threw them at the incoming projectiles.

The people turned into her human shield, and they exploded into pieces. The flame also cooked their meat, releasing an unpleasant aroma. But for Cat, it was the most delicious scent.

"T-This stupid plant!"

The remaining survivors realized their strength gap. They turned their attention to the thorn vines on their legs and stabbed them with their swords.

Regular iron swords and steel swords failed to cut through the vines. In addition, Cat could sense the attack, and she squeezed their legs in retaliation.

But as they were dispersing, a certain daddy landed on the rooftop of his store. He hopped forward and got down, reaching the front yard.

After the safety landing, Leo reopened the system's mini-map. Then, he noticed that the number of intruders decreased from 100 to 90. He frowned and looked at the brightest place in front of the three houses.

"That damn cat is stealing my prey again. This is why I can't play around."

Not allowing Cat to eat all of his prey, Leo ordered the system.

The gain was a lot less than before as the opponents this time were weak. Leo deeply sighed and counted his fingers, calculating how much he might get from this clean-up.

"90 x 500. Probably 45,000ish or slightly higher, I think. Man, I wish they send more people. Do I need to start hitting some cities and enraging some people? No, no, no. What was I thinking? Leo mumbled to himself as his mental health was sometimes unstable whenever he hunted. It was a side effect of living alone in a dangerous environment for too long, and he was prone to self-talking instead of thinking silently. Fortunately, the symptom went away when he was happy.

Leo got a little more than he had estimated. He had enough for the apartment project and the parking lot. Still, he wasn't satisfied – He was still mad about the earlier system warning.

Leo pondered hard. He thought of the Life Sword Sect, wondering if they could merge their sect with his and create a new organization together. That way, Leo could use them to protect his empire.

Still, Leo couldn't relax. He thought of Tang Xuan and Ye Tianxie. As those guys seemed stronger than Hua Jiashan, these guys might not be enough to defend his shop in the future.

Leo turned his attention to Cat, who was busy nom-noming the corpses of 10 men.

Cat didn't waste her precious food. Her roots dug into the ground, absorbing their spilled blood. Her vines collected militated pieces of meat and gathered them in her chomper mouth. As for their clothes, spatial rings, and belongings, she tossed them away.

As the situation was under control, Leo turned his attention to the store building. As usual, it was unscratched even though the front door was wide open. Noticing the opened door, Leo walked in and found the air containment section, which never existed before.

The air conditioner blew cold air from the inside. Leo deeply inhaled and sighed. Then, he approached the automatic glass doors.

They were opened and the shutter doors ascended, allowing Leo to enter the store. He turned around and closed the wooden door. Afterward, he entered the store to check on the disciples.

"Hmm?"

Strangely, none of them were on the first floor.

"Are they playing somewhere?"

Curious, Leo looked up and sniffed. He caught the scent of the disciples' bodily odor from above. Following the disciples, Leo walked up the stairs to see everybody. Upon reaching the second floor, he found a group of disciples in front of the elevator.

"What are y'all doing here?" Leo walked to the elevator.

"S-Senior! W-We…"

The disciples were relieved and astonished. They didn't sense his presence or heard his footsteps. Moreover, they were confused about how Leo got inside when the outside was swarmed by hostile cultivators.

One of them mustered his courage and asked Leo, "Senior. W-What happen to the intruders outside?"

"Dead."

"E-EH?!"

"10 becomes cat food. The rest turns to ash. Satisfied?"

"…"

Everybody looked at each other and cheered. They were elated and grateful that Leo protected them.

Meanwhile, Leo counted their heads. He noticed that not everybody was present.

"Where are the rest of you? I only see 13 people here."

"Oh…"

The disciples' faces changed color. They glanced at the elevator, afraid that they had touched something that they shouldn't have. One of them confessed, avoiding trouble.

"G-Gao Yan and others used this… artifact… to leave the building, elder. We were trying to flee from here when those men appeared."

Leo frowned, "Didn't I tell Wu Buyi to tell you not to leave the building at night. What the hell?"

The disciples lowered their heads. They had no excuse as they were afraid of punishment.

Leo didn't scold them. He pressed the up button to call the elevator over as he needed the people up there to come down. After all, the mystic realm portal platform was too high from the ground, and the wind was strong there.

Meanwhile, Gao Yan and his friends reached the hidden floor. They found themselves on a massive platform with four gigantic statues.

It was windy on the platform. As soon as everybody came out, no one managed to stand firm. They crawled on all four as they didn't want to be blown off from the sky.

"T-This, what is this place?!"

Unable to walk, they huddled behind the wolf statue, using it as a shelter from the wind. Fortunately, the statue was tall and big. The disciples managed to get their bearings.

After stabilizing themselves, Gao Yan looked around. He found the floating ring, which rotated and collected Qi at the center.

Gao Yan had never seen a mystic realm portal before, so he couldn't tell by just a look. In addition, the obelisks and the statues seemed to hint at something. The disciples also forgot about the intruders – They read the label next to the wolf statue and wondered what they were.

"Evil Overlord?"

One of them was attracted to the round creature with an anime cat face. As he had never seen such a weird creature, he walked toward it and touched the statue's surface.

"An evil overlord? Unfortunate evil overlord who will find a happy marriage life through fateful encounters? What is this, a prophecy?"

Suddenly, the wolf statue's eyes moved. It looked at the disciple and glared at them while the scorpion tail obelisk emitted red light. However, the disciples didn't notice it.

While everybody was mesmerized by the statues and the platform, the elevator moved down. The wolf statue's expression twitched, and the obelisk light dimmed.

A minute later, the elevator door opened, and Leo walked out. As soon as he came out, he shouted at Gao Yan and others.

"Brats! What are you doing over here? This place is off-limits!"

"Y-Yes, sir!"

Gao Yan and his crew were overjoyed. If Leo was here, the assailants would no longer be a threat.

Leo chased them back to the elevator as this place might be too dangerous. While he was at it, he opened his domain system and assigned them as employees.

Gao Yan and Leo never noticed the movements of the statues. Their eyes gleamed as they watched them in silence. The wolf statue's eyes no longer emitted any light. As for the strange anima-face creature with a pair of cat ears, it smiled.

"Hmm?"

While Gao Yan and others frantically rushed into the elevator, Leo heard a strange noise. He couldn't tell where it came from, but it sounded like a cat making a strange noise.

Leo turned around and looked at the round cat-octopus monster statue. He frowned and gazed into its eyes. For some reason, Leo felt like its expression was different from when it was first built.

"Odd."

Leo ignored the changes and ordered the disciples to head down first. He avoided the risk of directly touching them and killing them by accident.

The elevator moved down. As for Leo, he nonchalantly walked toward the edge of the platform and jumped down as he was immune to fall damage.

After Leo had left, the eyes of the four statues shifted. They gazed at the elevator for a moment. However, the cat-octopus creature giggled.
