At the newly wed's hotel suite.

Ming Lan woke up in the morning and saw the place next to her was empty and there was no one in the room. She noticed the time and it was already past nine o'clock in the morning.

"I slept for so long," she mumbled as she tried to sit in the bed while clearing her vision. Just then she heard the voice, "It's normal for the newlyweds to wake up late, especially after the wedding night."

Ming Lan looked at the man who was standing by the door while looking at her with a smirk on his lips.

She sighed at his teasing remark and mumbled, "What a joke! We did nothing to wake up so late."

Wen Zac heard it clearly and said still standing in his place, "Then do you want me to give you a reason to wake up late?"

"Cough! Excuse me," Ming Lan acted as if she heard nothing and stepped out of the bed. She straightway went to the bathroom as she heard him again, "Come for the breakfast once you are done."

Ming Lan nodded and entered the bathroom after taking her clothes from the wardrobe. Once she entered the bathroom, she exhaled out and stood resting her back at the door.

'What was that? Did he just tease me? Isn't he always so serious but seems like he loves to tease me now.'

-----

Once she was ready, Ming Lan went to the living room where Wen Zac was busy watching the news on television about what happened to the Han group.

"What is this news about the Han family?" Ming Lan asked as just like other kids from business families, she also knew the Han family.

"Seems like they have offended someone they should not," Wen Zac replied and stood up to go towards the dining table.

Ming Lan was shocked to read how the entire group was swept up overnight. She was from a business management background so she knew it was not something easy to do.

"Who did they offend?" she asked as she followed him.

"Seems like President Lu," He replied and pulled out a chair for her to sit on.

It was even surprising for her, "Why would Yuyan…."

"Do you think she will do anything without someone angering her to do so?" He countered and uncovered the food and she helped him too.

"True," she said.

"We are going to visit my grandmother in the hospital," he informed and she nodded.

As they had the breakfast quietly, she peeked a glance at him and realized being with him was not that awkward as they had started to communicate finally. 'I hope everything will be less awkward from now on.'

He noticed her looking at him and looked at her. She immediately averted her sight and focussed on her food. He smiled lightly and resumed eating.

Just as she gave a sigh of relief, he spoke, "It's fine if you want to take a proper look at your husband. Not like anyone will punish you."

Ming Lan felt choked with food as she looked at the man who was calmly eating. She had water and said, "I think it will take time to get used to our new relationship. I was never prepared for it." she thought to talk it out clearly.

He looked at her, "I know! And I am not in a hurry."

"Thank you," she replied and informed me, "Next week, I might have to leave for work."

Wen Zac nodded as if he was already aware of it. Though they were just married, he had already agreed on letting her work the way she wanted and he would never stop her from going away for her work. After following her for so many years, he was aware that she loved her work and he was ready to let her do it if they ever got married. Being together all the time was never his expectation, knowing the kind of work she did. It was fine as long as she belonged to him only and at the end of everything, she would return to him only- her husband- her home.

"It's not out of the country so I will return soon," Ming Lan added.

He nodded again. "Let me know if you need anything."

"I will."

After breakfast, the two left for the hospital. Wen Zac's grandmother was not well and she had to be in the hospital for a few weeks more.

"How are you, grandma," Wen Zac asked as he went to the old lady, lying on the bed and looking at smiling pleasantly.

"Now I saw your wife, I am absolutely fine," the old lady replied as the nurse helped her sit in the bed as she arranged the pillow for her and left. Grandma raised her hand towards Ming Lan.

Ming Lan held her hand and smiled, "I wish you to get better fast, Grandma."

"I will. How can I miss the chance of spending time with my granddaughter-in-law?" the old lady said as she caressed Ming Lan's hand, "Once I am home, we will spend some time together."

"Yes, grandma," Ming Lan replied.

Cough- Cough!

Grandma coughed a little and Ming Lan stood up to get the water. Once she was away from her, grandma smiled at Wen Zac teasingly, "Finally!"

He just nodded and grandma said again, "The one who is meant for you, will always come to you."

"I got it now, grandma," he replied.

"I am happy for you," Grandma said and the two kept quiet as Ming Lan returned to them.

Talking with grandma for some more, the two left the hospital.

"When will Grandma return home?" Ming Lan asked, on the way back.

"Maybe in a few more weeks."

"Next week I am leaving. I will make sure to return soon."

"Hmm!"

"It's not a way back to the hotel," she said looking at the road.

"We are going home," he replied and looked at her, "You don't want to?"

"N-No, it's fine. We should go home," she replied.

"You will be leaving soon so it will be better to spend some time with family so they won't feel that you left so early after the wedding," Wen Zac said.

Ming Lan nodded as he was right and thought, 'He is a thoughtful person.'
