When Liwei stood up, at the same time, the woman from the other table stood up suddenly, which startled the attendant. To save himself from not colliding with her, he moved away just to bump into Liwei.

As it was a circular table, Lu Lijun could immediately grab Liwei as the chair he sat in pushed away. The hot coffee from the mug spilled on his arm and the mug scattered into pieces after falling on the floor.

In shock, Liwei stepped back and held Lu Lijun's hand to take a look at it. Grabbing the glass of water from the table, she immediately poured on his arm.

"It's fine," he pulled his hand back."

Liwei grabbed his hand again as she glared at him, "No need to act tough. I'm not your girlfriend to impress me by acting tough."

Lu Lijun couldn't say anything to it and let her see his arm. She looked worried, and instead of panicking over it, she did what was necessary.

The skin of the arm from below the elbow to the above wrist turned red. It was evident that it would leave a burn mark for sure.

Liwei looked at the attendant, "Do you have an ointment?"

Nodding, the attendant left to get it, and Liwei looked at Lu Lijun, "It will get worse till we go to the doctor. First, apply the ointment."

Lu Lijun nodded, seeing the worried girl in front of him, who didn't look in a mood to listen to others. A while ago, she was smiling and looked like a sweet young girl, but now she looked like one responsible lady.

The manager of the cafe came to them once he got to know it and apologized.

"Please come to my office. It would be better there," the manager suggested.

"No need," came the cold reply from Lu Lijun.

Liwei ignored what Lu Lijun said and looked at the manager, "Where?"

"This way, please."

The manager guided their way, and Liwei took Lu Lijun with her by holding his hand as the stubborn guy didn't wish to give up.

Getting into the office, the manager handed over the first aid box to Liwei.

She opened the box and found the ointment. Taking a look at his hand, she was about to apply it, but Lu Lijun put forward his other hand.

"I'll do it."

She glared at him, "I'm already feeling guilty enough that it happened because of me."

Lu Lijun retreated his hand and let her do it. Applying the ointment, she looked at his folded sleeves, "It got dirty too."

"It's fine. We should leave now," he suggested.

When they reached the car, Liwei offered, "I'll drive."

"It's just a small burn. My hand isn't broken," Lu Lijun countered.

Liwei listened to him, and they sat in the car.

"I have to go somewhere. Come with me," Liwei requested.

"I'll drop you there," Lu Lijun said.

"It won't take much time," she insisted.

Lu Lijun didn't say no and followed the direction where she wanted to go.

They stopped in front of one showroom.

"I'll wait in the car," said Lu Lijun.

"Come with me. I need your help," she waited for him to step out of the car.

Giving up, he did so. Surprisingly he was not annoyed with her demands and followed her. If it was someone else, he would have left the person and got away even before.

Lu Lijun could see that she was a nice and genuine person who didn't pretend to fake things in front of him, unlike the girls he had come across.

Lu Lijun followed her inside the showroom of the clothing brand. The salesgirl welcomed them.

"How can I help you miss?"

"Looking for casual shirts for men," Liwei replied.

"Please, this way," the salesgirl guided their way.

Liwei looked at Lu Lijun, "Let's go."

"You don't need to…."

"I know, but I'll feel bad if I won't." Saying, Liwei followed the salesgirl. Sighing out, Lu Lijun followed her too.

She went through the white shirts and picked one out of them, "This one is similar to what you are wearing."

Lu Lijun didn't interfere and let her do it.

"Try it," she instructed.

"No need to try. Just get it," he denied.

"I brought you here so that you won't wander around and return home with a spoiled shirt." She went closer and said in a low voice, "Just change it, or your family will think I rejected you by throwing coffee on you."

Lu Lijun grabbed the shirt from her and went toward the trail room. He returned wearing a new one and holding the previous one in hand.

"It's perfect," Liwei commented, and the two left once she paid the bill.

Lu Lijun took her back home, and she stepped out carrying a shopping bag which had Lu Lijun's shirt.

"I'll return it to you later," she informed me.

He didn't want her to go through the trouble, "You don't have to..."

Liwei sighed, "I know Mr. Lu can sacrifice one shirt easily but don't worry, I'm not going to wash it by myself. Servants are there."

Again Lu Lijun gave up as he smiled lightly. The way she talked didn't fail to bring a smile to his face.

"By the way, thanks for what you did today," she said.

Lu Lijun didn't react to it. Saying bye, he left, and Liwei looked at the car as she commented, "Loves to act tough but such a softie he is."

Lu Lijun didn't return home and went to Noah's home. Lu Lijun didn't inform them as he thought to give a surprise visit.

When he reached, Jake opened the door and looked at Lu Lijun in surprise.

Entering the home, Lu Lijun talked in a low voice, "What's with this look? Did I disturb your sweet time with your wife?"

"Sweet time, my ass, when the wife is so stubborn," Jake replied the same way as he closed the door.

"Where is he?" Lu Lijun aksed.

"Having a shower," Jake replied.

Lu Lijun smiled teasingly, "Then what are you doing here?"

"I was about to follow him, but someone rang the doorbell."

"You can still go. I don't mind waiting here, or if you want, I can go back." Lu Lijun sat on the sofa.

Jake sighed, "Tell me the truth. Are you having that kind of thoughts these days? Are you interested in someone?"
