403 Book of Spellcasters.

A middle-aged man with bushy hair and thick sideburns stepped out from behind the stage and strolled alongside the cart.

A beautiful woman pushed the cart, bowed, and left the stage.

"Welcome, everybody." said the auctioneer.

Clap! Clap!

Clapping reverberated throughout the auction hall as everyone clapped their hands together.

When the auctioneer took the bow into his hands, he pulled the string to demonstrate its flexibility. With each pull of the string, the weapon's wooden frame glowed a brilliant blue, and heavenly voices rose out of it.

A lot of history was attached to this weapon, as players immediately recognized it. In spite of its rarity, it appealed to many due to its historical value.

After placing the bow back on the cart, the auctioneer announced, "The first item for today is this bow."

"The bow is called The Archer's Chorus. It had been owned by old Huntsman, who was too old to continue being a hunter at the end of his life.

"This bow was his most prized possession, and he used it for hunting more than a thousand mountain beasts, including the Fire-Breathing Wolf."

"Wow!" Astonished reactions came from the audience.

Following that, the auctioneer stated, "The starting bid will be 50,000!"

In contrast to the quiet left and right seats, the center seats were extremely busy. Numerous players were engaged in a discussion regarding that weapon. The majority of those players were Archers.

Then, one of the players raised his hand and shouted, "51,000!"

Other players joined in the bidding war after he raised his arms.

"52,000!"

"52,500!"

"53,000!"

The bidding war continued until it reached 70,000. In the hall, the auctioneer noticed many people debating whether to put more money on the table for such a weapon.

"70,000 is the current bid." The auctioneer spoke, "The historical significance of this weapon cannot be overlooked."

They gritted their teeth, and for many, 70,000 was already above their budget. With the price of even the first item, what are their chances of winning anything more?

Seeing no one interested in bidding, the auctioneer announced, "70,000, going once! Going twice…"

"Sold for 70,000 White Coins!" And just like that, the auctioneer announced the winning bid.

There was an Archer, pumping his fist in the air, cheering among the sea of players. After spending so much money on that weapon, he had no other reason to remain in the Auction House. After leaving the hall, he went to pay for the weapon.

"Hmph, a weapon for peasants," Lynch thought. Such cheap and low-ranking weapons didn't appeal to Lynch. The clothes he wore alone were Epic Ranked, let alone the trap-making tools he used.

The majority of items were as expensive as a bow, with a few slightly more expensive. So far, not even one thing had crossed the 100,000 mark.

Then came the tenth item. The cart had a dusty old book with no interesting content on top.

However, the auctioneer seemed extremely confident about this item.

Everyone in the hall stared at it with frowns on their faces, wondering what it was. They usually found books like this in their grandparents' basements.

A sly smile spread across his face as he said, "It's time for the tenth item, and it's quite a special one...".

The dusty old book was found in Third Realm, Autumn Realm!"

"It is Spellcaster Book, Attribute Earth!"

"If Spellcaster read the whole book. They would gain Earth Attribute, and the book also has skills for that specific attribute!"

As his words resonated in the minds of the players, there was uproar in the hall.

Despite its size, the book looked like the greatest treasure in the world to the Spellcaster players. But, they weren't the only ones eyeing the book.

There were many parties and guilds among the players in the auction hall. They would greatly increase their guild's strength if they were to give that book to their Spellcaster team member!

It didn't suit the NPCs, and they sighed in disappointment. Spellcasters didn't exist among NPCs, which was fair concerning their power levels.

"Hmm, it's alright." Lynch stroked his imaginary beard and whispered a few words into his butler's ear.

"The bidding will start from 200,000!" The starting bid caused everyone's jaws to drop. Only a moment ago, not even one bid had risen above 100,000. Now, the starting bid was twice as much!

A majority of the spellcasters slumped their shoulders and looked depressed.

Then, one Spellcaster from the left side of the seating area stood up and shouted, "210,000!"

That marked the beginning of the bidding process for everyone wealthy enough to purchase it.

"230,000!"

"250,000!"

"255,000!"

The red-faced players continued shouting their bids. The pain in their hearts became worse with every shout. The amount they bid was not a small sum.

Soon, the bidding had exceeded 500,000. The speed of bidding slowed down at that point. A Spellcaster seated on the left side of the room was sweating profusely.

The crazy amount he bid coincided with the limit of his budget.

Then, the auctioneer shouted, "500,000, going once… Going twice!"

"700,000!" A single voice silenced the whole hall. Lynch raised his left arm in a grin of assurance, drawing everyone's attention.

The Spellcaster's body went limp, "700,000… W-Who the hell can fight against that… He said it so casually too…"

"700,000 bid, going once… Going twice…"

"SOLD!"

"Heh." Lynch smiled smugly and gave his butler a pouch stuffed with white coins.

His butler bowed and went to pay for the item. Several minutes later, he returned bearing the dusty old book.

Lynch opened the book and leafed through it. Since he was the Trap Master, he didn't understand a word.

With a shrug, he threw it into his inventory, "I guess father can find some use for it."

He almost caused the spellcasters to spit blood when they heard him. To him, the treasured book seemed unimportant. As though it were trash that could be thrown away at will.

It was valued so highly that it could double a Spellcaster's power!
