Versatile: Alternate World
5 Arrival To Mining Town
The system of the game prompted me in movements and basic functions for the game as tutorials. It prompted me to run around the plaza just to familiarize the feeling. There are also a few players who logged on with me and we started running around.
After the tutorial, we got our starting equipment and we are taught how to log out and how to open the interface. I am quite familiar with it so the tutorial is nothing to me. Once the tutorial concluded its lessons, I opened the map and put a destination mark since that is my next destination.
Now, this is the starting point, Mining Town. There are already thousands of players around the town after I finished the tutorial and many are already running around or mingling with other players. Today is the beginning of the game's server opening. Once the surge of players appears, the starting point will become real crowded and it will be hard to properly move until the beginner players stop appearing. Before I get stuck in the crowd, I decided to move away from the small plaza and check around the stalls to see if there are anything that changed. I am not a day 1 player so there might be something that I might have missed during the launch day.
Mining Town is small so after a small run around, I already checked everything and nothing is amiss, any secrets are nonexistent, just a small town where the beginner players flock and nothing interesting at the moment.
Without many interesting things to do in the beginner's dropping place, I opened my character profile and check my stats. I need to know what is the distribution of the stats looks like as a Versatile Class since the Magic Knight class has a higher stat distribution on STR and INT compared to other stats.

Damn, I need 1000 experience to raise my level to level 1. That is indeed a big number compared to the other classes. Other classes will only need 500 exp to level up from level 1 while mine needed a double amount. It's a bit troublesome since this will multiply. Once I reach level 1, the 1000 exp needed will become 2000, and once I reach level 2, it will become 4000, so on and so forth. That will be a bad thing for me in the grind. I need double the efforts.
As for my attributes, they are all labeled as [Very Poor]. To raise all of my stats, I need to use Ability Points or AP to level up every attribute. I can gain 10 AP every level up and times are obtaining some unique achievements will net you with a few more AP. Not only that but some quests also award you AP if completed. Very Poor attribute has an AP bar that needs to be filled with AP. There are 9 levels of attributes.
1. Very Poor
2. Poor
3. Fair
4. Good
5. Very Good
6. Excellent
7. Expert
8. Master
9. Perfect Mastery
In this case, to level up Very Poor Stat to Poor, you need to spend 100 AP to it to raise it to Poor stat. It might be a bit bad-looking but it's normal for all. I checked every stat's AP bar and I have seen that all of them have 5 AP expended to them, making me good to go with 95 AP to spend to level them up.
I don't know what is the exact level cap in the beginning but from the last time I remembered, it is a level 1000 level cap in this game so the stats can be raised easily from Good around to Very Good in level 200 or more.
It's already a very strong start if you managed to have a single stat in Very Good. However, if you want to raise it to Perfect Mastery, then you need to work hard, find quests that reward AP, and spend it. Perfect Mastery is the pinnacle and there is no limit of stat points added to it. The more, the better. Anyway, as stats are raised from one level to another, the AP bar limit will also increase.
Not only the AP will help raise your stats but also equipment stats. Equipping one item with a stat number will allow the increase of the AP bar's number. Of course, once you unequip the said item, it will be deducted and the stat will return before the time you didn't wear the armor or weapon.
These attributes are just an additional thing. Once you level up, your attack power will raise depending on your weapon. Same with the armor. Add the amount of stats in your weapon and armor in your stat and you will end up getting strong. That is why players prefer to gain weapons and armor than to farm for AP. It is much more practical to be overgeared, but for real experts, gaining AP is much better. Even if you don't have any weapon as long as your stats are high, you can beat up enemies barehanded. This kind of playstyle is favorable to monks though.
I also checked my skills. This time, the skill trees from different classes are divided and I have access to all classes of skill trees. Usually, players have a Skill Point or SP gained every time they are leveling. However, with the Versatile, just the normal SP earned from leveling is not enough to unlock your playstyle so to compensate for that, once the player uses a certain skill or weapon belonging to that class, the player will gain a class-specific SP that can only be used in that said class. Normal SP is still earned like normal leveling up but with this, Versatile Players can just keep on grinding and they can buy the skills without any problem. Of course, the amount of SP gained this way is random and there are no single precise earnings.
So in short, if I want to learn a specific skill but I don't have enough Free SP in which the SP I gain every time I level up, I can just grind by using the specific weapon of that class in which the skill belonged and used it to level up the skill.
Next to check is my inventory. Inventory is divided into pockets. Equipment pocket, scrolls pocket, consumable pocket, miscellaneous pocket, and key items pocket. Every pocket has 300 slots. but a single stack of an item has an infinite number so if you want to stack, this will help a lot and you don't need to walk around the place just to dump what you collected and then run back again to retrieve the rest. The Equipment pocket is the space that houses the weapons and armor, while the scrolls pocket houses scrolls and contracts. It also stores blank paper and map fragments. Consumable Pocket is housing potions, food, magic items, and any kind of consumable items. Miscellaneous pocket houses the ingredients, monster parts, and any kind of items that are neither consumable nor can be equipped. The last is the Key Items pocket. This is the place where important items are stored and cannot be dropped whatever you do, except if there is a statement that it will drop in death.
300 slots are not enough though. Most players tend to say that 300 slots are so many, but in later parts of the game, 300 slots are very small. Of course, you can expand your inventory with special items. I checked my Equipment pockets There, I saw all of the default armor and default weapons I gained after the tutorial. They all have weak attributes so I disregarded them for now. The scroll pocket is empty, while the consumable pocket has two items. 9 small Hp potions and also 9 small MP potions. Still part of the rewards from the tutorial.

[Small Hp potion]
Duration: Instant
Type: Consumable
Effect: Heals 100 HP upon consumption.
Note: This potion tastes sweet but it's just a small amount.
[Small MP potion]
Duration: Instant
Type: Consumable
Effect: Heals 50MP upon consumption.
Note: This potion tasted like sh*t, but what can you do, you needed it.
I shrugged on these items, they are the same potions, nothing changed. I checked the others but they are all empty, except the key items pocket. I saw a chest on the slot. Is this perhaps the item that was given to me? I was curious about it so I checked it out.
[Tojiro's Gift]
Type: Treasure Chest
Note: Contain's Tojiro Akisame's Gift.
The description is vague but with the name of Tojiro, it is clear this thing might be the thing that will help me which Tojiro said I will need in the future. It was so vague so I decided to open the chest up.
Ding!
"You obtained a God Tier weapon, Versatile Weapon!"
Huh? Did I just obtain something interesting? I quickly moved to the Equipment Pocket and checked what weapon it was. There is a slot in with a question mark image on it. Is this a versatile weapon? I clicked the weapon to check its stats.
