Undying Warlord
679 Justified Murder?
Dilan didn't really have an excuse for annihilating entire races. Calling it a necessity or the act of a Saint was stupid because he murdered everyone and everything.
Using the Flame of the Beginning, everything was destroyed. Of course, he didn't annihilate any 'good' races, or races that were known for doing good deeds, or if they provided advancement in technology or something like that.
He annihilated races that were considered rotten by the standards of the Queen of Immortality's database. These races possessed vile traits that were given to them at birth. All members of those races possessed these vile traits that forced them to do horrible things seven of their personalities would have been nice if they weren't in possession of the vile traits.
Those races had already annihilated various other races in the past and most Gods avoided them because the vile races were extremely strong. Usually, Lesser Gods coming from these vile races could fight against four to five ordinary Lesser Gods.
Of course, that was not something Dilan could be bothered about. He could kill these vile Lesser Gods and make huge gains. After all, those vile Lesser Gods possessed a much stronger Essence Crystal than ordinary Lesser Gods, and their faux Divinity was also quite valuable.
Dilan didn't try to absorb the Divinity of any other being because he couldn't do something like that anymore. The Sun of the Sun Divinity Staff was something special. It was an entity with unfathomable power which the Sun God had made use of rather than creating a Divinity with his own Soul and other materials that didn't possess a vast amount of essence and life.
However, the Flame of the Beginning was different. It devoured every single Abandoned Divinity that Dilan had gotten his hands on. They were slowly dismantled and destroyed by the Flame of the Beginning. The Power of the Abandoned Divinity was absorbed and converted, further strengthening the Flame of the Beginning.
That was Dilan and the Flame of the Beginning continued to grow at a rapid pace.
This rapid growth didn't excuse what he did because murder was murder, there was no excuse. He killed billions of beings without any hesitation.
But Dilan knew that he was not a good person either. Some might think differently because they were grateful for the things Dilan did, especially since his actions got rid of the oppressors of various races. However, that was just what others thought of him because they had been oppressed by the vile races and their vile leaders.
In the end, it was not as if Dilan was actually involved with any of them. There hadn't been a proper reason for him to eradicate entire races if one were to exclude the obvious reasons.
And the obvious reasons were quite easy to summarize as well. First, it was to remove trash from Milarn, or Camsun to be precise. Dilan focused his work on one continent at a time. Jumping all over the continents was not exactly useful. It would make more problems than gains he would make.
As for the second reason, Dilan wanted that more Alliances would appear. The vile races and their vile Leaders made it difficult for many other races to meet up and come up with plans to work together and build an empire ruled by many Gods and races rather than one supreme ruler.
Making allies and dealing with them provided more benefits than turning everyone into your opponent and fighting to the death.
It was not easy to turn enemies into comrades in arms but that was not what Dilan desired, either way. He was already satisfied with the reasonability a few larger Alliances showed.
Dilan felt a little bit different whenever he eradicated an entire race from Milarn. It was not as if the entire vile race was annihilated, not always, but he was still not sure how to feel.
He needed to become stronger to protect those important to him but it was not as if that goal was something special. Many had the same conviction and goal as Dilan, but he was the only one who was actually strong enough to keep his promises.
The Demi Gods of the Undying Group were taught well by the Queen's Image, Dilan showed them the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique as well, which meant that it was only a matter of time before they would create a faux Divinity to bridge the gap of their talent and become Lesser Gods.
Not even Rory or Yvonne was able to use their unique Essence Crystals to immediately create a True Divinity. The potency of a True Divinity was too high for their Essence Crystal, Soul, and body to endure. They would die the moment they tried binding a True Divinity to their Soul.
Thus, they had to become stronger first after becoming Lesser Gods. Both had only one advantage; they didn't need to stay Lesser Gods for long as both possessed the capabilities and talent to upgrade their faux Divinity and turn it into True Divinities as long as they kept advancing.
The Queen of Immortality's Image used her databases to explain and teach everyone who was willing to listen about the proper creation of sealed faux Divinities with the potential to become True Divinities once unsealed, and what was necessary to pay attention to when unsealing the faux Divinity
Dilan was not sure how many years they required to create such a sealed faux Divinity with great prospects to become True Divinities but he was quite excited about that.
In fact, the growth of his friend and family was the only thing that held him together right now. After spending nine months of the seemingly mindless killing of intelligent races and Lesser Gods, Dilan was finally exhausted and his mind was overwhelmed with memories related to his father.
Sometimes, he wondered whether he was the same monster as his father, or if he had become even worse. The truth was that he didn't really know the answer to this anymore. Others imagined him to be strong and a man who followed his principles.
However, over the course of time, Dilan was not even sure what his principles were anymore. Too many things bothered him and his obsessive thoughts about the Veils, the Veilures, and the prophecy made him sick and tired…he just wanted to rest, and left it all behind…
But that was impossible.
He couldn't rest.
Not right now.
And the system made this clear once again.
