Undying Warlord

674 Communication

In the end, everyone noticed Ariel Silvertale's genuine worry about Dilan after he didn't return on the promised date.

Many Ascenders were certain that this was a scheme of the Angel's Haven Alliance but that nonsensical thought was quickly destroyed when a week passed and Ariel returned with multiple injuries all over her body.

She had just finished fighting at the front and ended up tired out, yet, she still wanted to see if Dilan had returned.

Her expression hadn't changed a single bit the entire time. This was one of the reasons why many began to wonder if the Princess of Haven had an illness that paralyzed the nerves in her face.

This didn't make much sense either but it was more than enough reason for the Undying Group to avert their attention from her unchanging face to her actions. After all, actions were worth more than ten thousand words.

Thus, the Undying Group ended up observing Ariel Silvertale from a different perspective…and they accepted that she was genuinely concerned about Dilan's health and well-being.

Dilan's friends and family chose to accept her because of her genuine care about a person, who was also important to them and they made sure that everyone would treat Ariel nicely.

She was allowed to stay on the flying island, and bring a few people to make sure that Ariel could keep her promise with Dilan; to bring a few sparring partners!

The sparring partners were of great use for most Ascenders, especially women who had to release their stress from the pressure that weighed down on them since a gorgeous Ascender such as Ariel had appeared around them.

She attracted lots of attention even when her Powers were completely sealed. Her appearance was at the top 0.01% even amongst Gods. Her presence alone was enough to move everyone's attention toward her, whether Ariel wanted it or not.

Yvonne and the others, who had been worried about Dilan's well-being, had another worry to pay attention to since Ariel set up her new headquarters on the flying island…They didn't know what would happen when Dilan would return…

Now they knew…but nobody could really comprehend what had just happened. Did Ariel react like this because of Dilan's newly acquired power, or because he had returned? Was the Princess of Haven ignorant to how close she had been to Dilan, or did she do that intentionally?

Too many questions flashed through the minds of Dilan's friends and family…and even the Essence Angels thought about it. They questioned their future Queen's behavior while simultaneously trying to get rid of their last 15 minutes' memories.

Dilan was also a little confused but he was able to get his act together and think straight ahead.

He formed Oricalm in a small dagger and desired a compressed flame shrouding it tightly.

The moment he 'willed' the Flame of the Beginning, a blue flame shrouded the Oricalm dagger like a second layer.

He looked at the dagger, spun it in his hand, and lightly scratched the dagger at the wall next to him. Dilan didn't need to put any strength in the Oricalm dagger because the wall gave in to the heat that shrouded the tip of the dagger when they came into touch.

Dilan wanted to increase the temperature of the flames and the Flame of the Beginning followed his will. A faint golden shine emerged within the highly compressed blue flames and red flames with golden strands spread out not long after.

However, at the same time, it looked like Oricalm was having trouble maintaining its shape.

"So that's the limit? Oriclam can only maintain a solid shape for a minute once the Power of Sun is fully unleashed…" Dilan mumbled to himself before he noticed something pulling at his pants.

It was the stickman figure of the Flame of the Beginning's shred. It pointed at Oricalm and made a huge X by crossing its stick arms.

"What do you want to say? My Soul Weapon is too weak to hold your true Power? Well…I can see that well…" Dilan said and he bent down to the stickman figure while holding out Oricalm.

But instead of focusing on Oricalm, the stickman figure pointed at Dilan's palm before it made a huge motion.

Dilan stored Oricalm away in his soul and held out his flat hand. The fiery flame with golden strands formed above his palm. A moment later the stickman figure turned into a replacement of Dilan's fist, and a replication of the flame with golden strands formed above the replicated palm.

For a few seconds, nothing seemed to happen but Dilan noticed a drastic change all of a sudden. The temperature in the room increased by leaps and bounds, he began to sweat heavily and the flame above the replicated hand seemed to change. Yet, before the flame could change completely, the hand burst into thousands of tiny flames.

The stickman figure formed after a few seconds had passed and it made a huge X once again.

"So my body cannot handle more than the power you unleashed…alright…"

Dilan understood that he was not able to converse properly with the Flame of the Beginning because it didn't know how to use telepathy…or maybe it couldn't use telepathy.

In exchange for telepathy, the Flame of the Beginning used other means to communicate with Dilan.

It was no comparison to telepathy but Dilan didn't think that he should complain. He could be happy that everything worked out, somehow.

When the stickman was done explaining, it looked back to Ariel Silvertale shook its head, and dispersed into flames that returned to Dilan.

It was almost as if the stickman figure was bored after playing around with Ariel for a while. This caused many to look at Ariel with pity in their eyes, but nobody dared to meet her eyes when she looked around.

Even Marie and the others were trying to avoid her gaze by all means.

Only Dilan looked directly at her with pity in his eyes.

"Well, I can't control it…Maybe, don't try to catch it next time?"
