Undying Warlord

618 Artistic Orcs

A young man could be seen striking the bloodied floor around him with a humongous Warhammer.

He has surrounded by almost one hundred corpses a creepy altar and a bunch of eerie golden braziers. Dilan couldn't sense a single living being in his immediate surrounding area, which meant that he was free to destroy the large magic circle that had been carved below and around the altar of the Blood Orc God.

At least, Dilan presumed that the Blood Orc's God was replicated in the eerie statue. He couldn't move or destroy it with his current physical strength but that didn't mean he was helpless against the weird feeling he got about the braziers, the black statue, and the magic circle that was already filled with blood, half of it at least.

First, Dilan smashed the huge and heavy Warhammer on the ground, destroying the core components of the magic circle before he stored a few golden braziers while the others were thrown around.

The golden braziers he had stored in his storage ring would be thrown somewhere in the Gate, just to make sure that they didn't have some sort of GPS that could lead to the flying island.

Dilan was not sure if that was enough to prevent what the Blood Orc Shamans had been doing, but it was not as if he knew whether they did something grand or not, either way. He was just following his intuition by getting rid of everything that could be considered troublesome.

'Either Victoria was wrong with the exact number of Blood Orc Shamans, or three of them chose not to participate in this…blood ritual or whatever they did, not that I care about their bloodcraft…'

He had been a little bit worried about the blood ritual before, but now his concern turned over to the remaining Blood Orc Shamans.

Dilan was pretty sure that Victoria wouldn't lie about what she said. All numbers were the bare minimum, meaning that the reported opponents were everything she had seen. There could be more opponents but never fewer!

Dilan had enough trust in Victoria to know that there were a few more opponents he had to defeat. Looking upward, Dilan released a few crimson bolts of lightning that burst through the ceiling, reaching high into the air.

This was his sign to show that he defeated the Blood Orc Shamans inside the hall but also that a few of them had escaped.

It didn't matter whether they were not present or if he lost them because there were more Blood Orc Shamans, potentially all of them with a spatial affinity.

That was troublesome but Dilan didn't choose to search desperately for the remaining Blood Orc Shamans.

Instead, he would switch over to Plan B. Jumping through the gaping hole in the ceiling, Dilan ended up on the rooftop of the citadel. The citadel was black in color, in the exact same tone as the basalt floor and it looked like it had been constructed by a master artisan.

If Dilan were interested in construction, and architecture, he would probably be impressed at the sight of the citadel. However, as he was more focused on the chaos around him, Dilan didn't really feel anything at the sight of the gorgeous, yet, somewhat eerie citadel.

He could only see the battlefield, the burning settlement, and sense the death of thousands of monsters that occurred in the seconds he watched over the settlement.

His eyes flickered to the center of the settlement which was more like a city than anything else.

It was pretty obvious that the Blood Orcs were a monster race with higher intelligence. It was not even far-fetched to compare their intelligence with that of humans. They even liked grand buildings, had an artistic sense, and worshipped their own god.

Though the way they worshipped their god was a little bit bloody, it still counted. Yet, none of the things Dilan had seen in the settlement was as impressive as the large tower that was situated in the center of the settlement.

"Blood Magic, and traces of space distortion. I guess I know where the remaining Blood Orc Shamans are," Dilan mumbled mostly to himself before his head turned back to the rest of the settlement.

He took a look to see how the others were faring. The thousand Blood Orc Champions were the most troublesome if one were to ignore the 12 Apostles. Dilan was ready to give them a helping hand if needed, but it looked like Sven was showing off his powers very well.

He enhanced everyone's strength by more than fifty percent. That was more than enough to make sure that everyone was strong enough to fight against a handful of Blood Orc Champions at the same time.

'As long as I kill the remaining Blood Orc Shamans, everything should be fine. There won't be any trouble with the Blood Orc Champions, let alone the Blood Orc Warrior…alright, let's enter the Lion's den or the Orc Tower!'

Dilan knew that he was not supposed to attack the Orc Tower all by himself but he knew himself better than anyone else. A small part of his subconscious thought about the safety of Williams and Felicia because he knew that the Blood Orc Shamans could see through the pseudo-illusion ability of Williams.

However, other than his worry about his friend and colleague, Dilan was more excited to find out how strong the 12 Apostles were.

He exerted the Zephyr Step movement technique once again and followed up by activating the Walk of Thunder and Second Acceleration.

His True Undying Essence was also fully unleashed, healing the wound he sustained in the blink of an eye.

A moment later, Oricalm changed into a rapier, the best weapon to use the easiest move of the Immortal Godbringer Ammasutra technique!

While Oricalm was still changing its shape, Dilan disappeared, leaving behind a gust and a rooftop that crumbled under the brute force of Dilan's push.

As for the direction he went, it was quite obvious.

Straight toward the 12 Apostles!
