Unlike Lisa and Brigitta who often talked with Oscar, Peter and Greta sat across from them without saying a word. The only sound that could be heard from their direction was a spoon accidentally hitting the bottom of the plate.

Earlier in the room, Peter had to pull Greta out of the room so they could join in for breakfast together. At first, Greta kept whining, hoping that Peter wouldn't take her out for breakfast anymore, but when she heard her husband's sigh escape his lips, she couldn't help but follow him.

Seeing Lisa who happened to be sitting across from her made Greta not have the appetite to eat. Especially after she found out that the breakfast was Lisa's creations, she felt like she wanted to puke!

According to her, the tea tasted bland and the eggs were too oily.

Seeing Lisa and Brigitta engrossed in conversation made Greta's left hand clench tightly into a fist. There was a feeling of jealousy growing in her chest because she knew she couldn't be on the same level as Lisa in Brigitta's eyes.

Greta may have been Brigitta's daughter-in-law for more than 30 years, but until now, their closeness is still in an awkward phase. No matter how much Greta tried to win over the old woman's heart, her efforts seemed in vain.

Greta raised her eyes to look at Lisa, increasing her chewing strength.

This woman really took after her mother. Like a mother, like a daughter!

After breakfast, Lisa took the initiative to clean the kitchen and dining area. She told them to get up from their chairs and continue what they were doing. When she took one of the dirty dishes, she saw the maid coming over to her.

"Oh my God," said the maid panicked, "Just put it down, Miss. Let me clean up everything!"

Lisa didn't follow her request and continued to do what she was doing earlier. "It's okay, it's just once in a while. Let me clean up."

Hearing that made the maid unable to move. Finally, she couldn't help but follow Lisa's request and chose to clean the dining table.

Oscar had already told Lisa that he contacted the company where Lisa worked. But Lisa still contacted the personnel department to make sure that she came to work that day, only that she was allowed to come in at noon.

After bathing and getting ready, Lisa and Oscar were ready to go back to Jakarta. The time showed half past nine in the morning. As Lisa walked down the stairs, she saw Oscar, the man's parents, and also Brigitta sitting in the living room.

In the family room, the four of them looked like strangers who didn't know each other. If Lisa was close to the family, maybe she could laugh and ridicule them. It's just that she still wasn't that close to them, especially Greta, so if she did that, it might tarnish Greta's reputation even more.

"All set?" Oscar asked when he saw Lisa walking towards them clutching her tote bag.

Lisa nodded her head "Yes."

Not long after, the five of them walked out towards the front yard. Since then until now, Brigitta has never left Lisa's side. Actually, Lisa couldn't bear to leave the old woman alone, it's just that she has responsibilities that she must complete at the office.

"Grandma, hurry inside! The air this morning is very hot, not good for the skin." Lisa said when the five of them had arrived at the entrance of the old woman's villa. "I'll come here again sometime, okay?"

After kissing Brigitta's cheeks, Oscar walked ahead of them to warm up the car. It wasn't long before Peter did the same. The man's car was parked behind Oscar's, forcing him to drive it out first.

Brigitta cleared her throat but her hand was still grasping Lisa's. "When will you bring William here? I can't wait to see my lovely great-grandson! I'm curious to see the boy's appearance."

"Of course, Grandma. Later when it's the holiday season, I'll come back here with William." Lisa replied.

"Keep your promise," Brigitta replied seriously. But the old woman's wide smile still graced her lips, making the wrinkles on her forehead and cheeks more obvious. "Well then, be careful on the road!"

After kissing Brigitta's cheeks, Greta said goodbye to the old woman. Brigitta's expression immediately changed drastically, no longer as warm as when she was talking to Lisa.

The old woman still vividly remembers her fight with Greta yesterday. She may forget quickly because of her age, but that doesn't mean she can forget what made her angry in the first place.

Brigitta waved her hand when they had finished saying goodbye. Lisa's right hand carries a paper bag filled with the hair mask and serum that Greta gave to Brigitta yesterday. While her left hand waved to Brigitta.

Then, Lisa and Greta turned around and walked side by side. Lisa can still feel the tension and heat that is present in their midst. But she kept trying to be okay.

Yesterday, Greta slapped her, leaving marks on her cheeks as well as her heart. The demonic woman slapped her for no apparent reason. Lisa, who had just woken up from her nap and wanted to drink water because her throat was dry, was suddenly slapped.

If someone else slapped her instead of Greta, maybe Lisa would react quickly. She wouldn't let the person who slapped her just walk away and humiliate her. But since it was Oscar's biological mother, Lisa couldn't do anything.

Greta is Oscar's biological mother, which meant she'd become her mother-in-law after this. Lisa could only take a deep breath and assume that the demonic woman accidentally slapped her on the cheek.

Lisa has forgiven Greta's actions. Of course she had forgiven her. But that doesn't mean she can forget what Greta did.. She was sure what the woman did to her would forever remain in her heart.
