For this man, Chloe is willing to put down everything, including her ego, into learning to cook. She had never liked feminine things except for make-up and dress. She doesn't like cooking, cleaning the house, and other things that housewives usually do.

Chloe is willing to learn to cook from morning to evening every day. She is willing to clean the dirty and messy kitchen because of her feelings toward that man. She did it all so that the man could eat healthy food.

For him, Chloe was willing to watch a basketball game that she herself did not understand and was not interested in at all. In order to win his heart, Chloe learns the technique of playing basketball and the names of the players that the man likes.

For him, Chloe was willing to stand in the snow for 5 hours, just to buy him the shirt of his favorite basketball player, complete with autographs and tickets to watch on the VIP spot next month.

Those days she spent with him were Chloe's happy moments.

Chloe should have known that nothing lasts forever. Like a wilted flower in summer. Like her favorite small dress. Like the comics she liked to read when she was 10 years old.

And just like her relationship with that man. Chloe should have known that the man was not someone who could accompany her until the end of her life.

Breaking up with that man has left her bittersweet memories in her heart. But until now, it seemed that the woman couldn't forget her former lover at all.

The man disappeared like dust in the wind.

Ever since Chloe broke up with him, she never heard from him again. In the past 5 years, Chloe has been trying to find his whereabouts. Until now, she didn't think that the man who said he wanted to spend his life with her would disappear with a sweet promise he made to her at that time.

If the man died, at least Chloe could still see his body or maybe his ashes. But the man really disappeared from the face of this earth. As long as she hadn't seen the body, the coffin, or even the urn of the man's ashes, Chloe refused to believe that the man was dead.

Not a day goes by without her trying to find out where the man is now. But the result is always the same. She never heard from him again, and didn't know where he lived.

For almost half an hour, Chloe continued to cry as she leaned her back against the back of the seat. When her breathing was steady, she ventured to open her tote bag. The woman took out and opened the wallet where she kept her credit and debit cards.

In the last pocket, she accidentally found a photo. With trembling hands, Chloe took out the photo and saw the woman in the basketball jersey with the back of the man's favorite name, and standing next to her was a handsome man flashing his row of neat teeth.

Chloe still remembered that the photo was taken when they were done watching a basketball game in Los Angeles. She bought two VIP seat tickets on the man's birthday.

The second photo was when the man expressed his feelings for Chloe. They were walking around the garden in the spring. He had such a sweet mouth and was wearing a dark brown coat combined with a black turtleneck. Standing next to him, Chloe did not look less pretty. With her hair in a ponytail and a knee-length short skirt paired with brown high boots, she looked so dazzling.

It was their first day as a couple.

Until now, Chloe still clearly remembers that happy moment. Their hands were close but neither of them dared to make the initial move to hold each other, and as time went by, the back of their palms touched each other. The man's cheeks were flushed, either from embarrassment or the cold spring breeze. On the other side, Chloe's heart was beating so fast that it felt like it was going to burst out of her chest.

Chloe still remembered almost crying when she heard the man's love confession— she was so happy. They had liked each other for 2 years. But no one dared to confess first, fearing that it would ruin their friendship.

But finally, that spring, the man had the courage to confess his feelings. That sweet and slightly embarrassing moment, when Chloe almost cried and people around them thought that the man was proposing even though they had just been dating, was still deeply etched in her heart.

It had now been five years and three months without that man in her life. No one knows, not even Chloe herself, how she would have survived 1914 days, 114,900 hours and 689,400 seconds without him in her life.

Every time the sun rose, Chloe always thought that she would meet the man who made a sweet promise with her that day.

She didn't know what happened to the man now, it was hard to say that she didn't care. The important thing was that the man had to come back to her.

It's fine if the guy turned out to be a bum or a homeless person sleeping on the roadside. Chloe didn't care.

She just wanted him back.

She just wanted them to be back together.

By the time Lisa received Oscar's half-naked photos from Chloe, she was busy and couldn't be bothered. As a result of taking 4 days off, the hectic work was already waiting for her when she entered her office.

If Lisa doesn't work hard, how could she possibly get another promotion and a raise?

She had to work hard so that she could prove to everyone that she deserved her current position. Even though Indri had resigned, Lisa didn't want Indri to feel disappointed with her choice to make her the manager of the Finance Division!
