"Lil Qi, I'm coming in since you didn't close your window." Ji'er dropped onto the floor and winked cheekily at him. She pointed at the plates on the table. "I'll leave after clearing those."

Chu Qi felt his head pound when he saw that she had come in.

"The servants can clear it up later. You don't need to do this."

Ji'er replied seriously, "I'm the servant right now. I'm your personal maidservant. It's what I should be doing."

Chu Qi frowned, disagreeing with her statement.

She was a princess. Why should she insist on being a maidservant?

"I have no lack of help here. I don't need you to be my maidservant." His tone was cold as he attempted to make her back off.

"It's because of you that I'm here as a maidservant." Ji'er knew he was being cold on purpose, which was why she was not bothered by his tone. She walked toward the table and began clearing it up. "Don't worry. I'll leave after I'm done. I won't disturb your rest."

Chu Qi got even more frustrated when he saw her refusing to give in.

Ji'er had no choice but to give up and watch him clear the table while she stood at the side.

Chu Qi removed all the plates in a clean move and put them all on the tray. He looked at Ji'er and said, "Now, can you leave?"

"I'll leave right now." Ji'er took the tray and left as promised.

When Chu Qi saw her trying to leave through the window again, he pinched his eyebrows and pushed the door open. "You can leave through the door."

It was only then that Ji'er realized what she was doing. She gave him a silly smile and walked past him to leave.

Chu Qi was finally relieved as the room returned to its usual state of peace and quiet.

He gave it some thought and summoned Steward Chen over.

After Steward Chen left, Chu Qi sat contemplating at the side of his bed. He decided it was best to leave as soon as possible.

Based on how Ji'er was acting, she would probably not be returning to the Palace. With Her Highness supporting her, Ji'er would only get even more brazen from now on.
