A great calamity...

Ling Tian could only think of the disaster that would happen in the future, but he had no way to prevent that.

If that were to happen, then he and all his loved ones would one day die and the existence of the universe would come to an end.

"But..." Linqi took Ling Tian out of his thoughts and said, "I can feel that your path is completely different from all the people I have seen. Your light is something that even fate cannot control, so I know that you will be able to find a way to fix the existence of the great universe and avoid future calamity. I can even vaguely see that you will become a great existence on the level of the two divine beings of our animal race and even beyond that of any supreme being. Though I do not know what the future holds for you, the heavens have placed hope in you to face future disaster."

Ling Tian put his fists together and thanked: "I thank the Senior for encouraging me by giving me his valuable advice, and above all for having great expectations of me."

"Don't worry, this is just the humble advice of an old man." Linqi smiled softly.

The sound of space breaking up captured Ling Tian's attention and he turned to look around.

Light, blurry folds in space began to be faintly noticed because of his ability and experience in tearing the space, indicating that this small dimension will be to collapse and be destroyed.

Some slight tears and even folds would quickly disappear, as if there were not enough force to tear the space.

Without a doubt, the space in this place will begin to alter and eventually break, leaving it exposed to the void and destroyed. But this would not happen quickly; it would slowly progress.

'Could it be that because I have received the supposed inheritance of the Holy Shrine this dimension will disappear?' Ling Tian thought while watching space slowly shake.

"It seems that just in time you have appeared." Linqi sighed, but this time, it was a relaxed sigh without any deep feeling, as if what happened next did not make him worry.

"Then we'll have to get out of here, Senior." Ling Tian turned to Linqi: "I can break through the space and enter another small world once we are in the void."

Linqi smiled softly but shook his head before replying, "My life has reached its limit, so before this dimension collapses, this body will no longer exist and will be one with the universe again. Also, this dimension was created in part by me, so my core of life resides here and therefore I cannot leave this place... it is as if I am merged with this place."

Even though Linqi said something so worrisome and sad, he still showed a relaxed smile to Ling Tian.

Before Ling Tian could say anything, Linqi shook his hand when a small light appeared beside him.

The ball of light was neither too big nor too small, so Linqi held it in both hands as the light slowly dimmed.

Ling Tian opened his eyes wider in surprise when he saw a small animal in Linqi's hands once the light was gone.

This little animal was a little fox. Its skin was as white as snow itself, with no impurities or blemishes to tarnish its beauty. Its tail also showed a big, fluffy coat while its two delicate ears began to move slightly. Its paws seemed to be so soft and delicate that one would prefer to carry the little white fox in one's arms so that it would not get hurt while walking.

This little white fox was slightly larger than the two Linqi hands that held it. Still, it showed that it was sleeping peacefully and slowly waking up from its sleep.

It wasn't long before the little white fox finally woke up and began to gradually shake off its deep sleep. Its mouth opened as it did what appeared to be a yawn.

"Little one, it is time for you to wake up." Linqi smiled at the beautiful creature in his hands as he gently patted its body, caressing it to wake up.

* Purr... *

The little white fox moved its body as it let out a few purrs, enjoying Linqi's gentle and soft treatment.

Linqi smiled at this as he approached Ling Tian and brought the little white fox closer to him.

"This is the last member of the spirit fox race before her clan was extinguished by the last disaster, so I hope you can take care of her from now on and she can rebuild her clan once again. I have kept her in a dimension of time where time was frozen so that she would sleep until you arrived here." Linqi looked tenderly at the little white fox in his hands: "Besides, she will help you a lot in the future too as she grows up."

Ling Tian slowly nodded as he tried to understand what Linqi was saying before he was stunned by what he had heard.

Was Linqi giving him that beautiful little white fox?

"Little girl, this young man will take care of you from now on, so you have to follow him." Linqi said to the little fox.

Ling Tian noticed that the little white fox was looking at him in detail, as if it were scanning him from top to bottom. It even stretched its body a little towards him and started to sniff him.

Its gaze seemed to convey a proud and somewhat arrogant feeling, as if it were someone powerful and important.

After that, its eyes then remained fixed on his own eyes for a long time before jumping towards him.

Ling Tian reacted quickly but with some clumsiness and extended his arms towards the little white fox, grabbing it with his arms delicately. Ling Tian moved his hands towards his chest so that the little white fox had more space and was more comfortable.

The little white fox settled between Ling Tian's arms and chest, as if it wanted to be carried by him.

* Purr... Purr... *

Ling Tian smiled helplessly when he unconsciously did the same as Linqi, he began to caress the soft fur of the white fox, which made the fox let out a few small purrs after a few seconds.

"It seems that she likes you very much." Linqi smiled at this before adding, "Before, this little girl would never allow herself to be carried away by anyone else, much less let those soft purrs escape. You're the first one she's ever gotten along with." He laughed quietly.

Girl?

Ling Tian was stunned again when he remembered that Linqi had called it that at first, so in short this little white fox was a female.

Ling Tian was about to say something when he felt a small bite on one of his fingers.

Ling Tian noticed that the little white fox had bitten into one of his fingers and a few drops of blood started to come out.

Instantly, Ling Tian felt a soft air when a sense of connection was created in him.

Ling Tian furrowed his eyebrows when he felt this new bond connecting with the little white fox in his arms.

Linqi saw this and was surprised: "She even made a bond with you, this little girl really likes you. Usually members of the fox race are proud like the dragons, so they would never make any connection with others... especially the females; even their own partners are no exception if they don't want to give themselves to them. Mmm it is most likely because she is comfortable with the energy of your body." Linqi took his hand to his chin while he thought.

Was she comfortable with his own energy?

Ling Tian smiled helplessly at this. It seems that the little white fox made a link with him because of his own Energy.

But well, now he had a little white fox as a partner too, as she created a bond with him.
