The Urban Dao Child

Yang Dao and Dao Yin were led to the courtroom of the Imperial Palace. The two people looked around and found that the decorations of the place were not very high-key. They nodded slightly to each other.

They had already sensed the whole place with the spiritual sense so they did not need to run their gazes around everywhere like country bumpkins. The courtroom seemed to be empty. The eunuch did not stop until they reached a door at the side of the throne.

The old man said, "This path is used by his excellency to move between his residence to the court."

The couple nodded and Yang Dao asked, "May I ask if the emptiness of the court is related to the trouble we are summoned here for?"

The eunuch nodded and said, "The court has not held a session in the past three decades ever since the problem surfaced."

Dao Yin asked, "Can you fill us in with the details?"

The eunuch said, "The emperor is waiting to meet you and he will tell you himself, madam. I apologize but the crux of the problem is not known to anyone else but the emperor himself. We only know that the problem is like a bane to the imperial bloodline. You will see what I mean in a few moments."

That said, the man increased his pace and the couple kept following him through various gardens and pavilions. They came to a courtyard inside the palace. The old man said, "This is where the emperor resides."

Yang Dao and Dao Yin looked around the courtyard and they frowned. Their expression was caught by the old eunuch, he gestured for the two people to enter. As soon as the two people stepped through the threshold they heard a voice, "Hmmm, Old Ming, did you bring the people from the holy land?"

Old Ming was the eunuch, he replied, "Yes, Your excellency."

"Lead them inside with respect.", sounded the voice again.

Old Ming made a polite gesture after he held up the curtain for the two people. Yang Dao and Dao Yin did not hesitate and went inside. They saw a man laying on the bed, he looked old, and his skin looked as if a misfitted costume put on his skeleton.

The two people did not bow or greet the man, they just focused on looking at him, at this moment, they had a complete x-ray vision of the body of the old man. Suddenly a strong voice sounded, "How dare you be disrespectful to the emperor? Know your place."

Yang Dao clicked his tongue and Dao Yin waved her hand, she said, "Silence."

The power of rules was exhibited at this moment and the man suddenly found himself frozen in a place. However, the emperor did not say anything. Yang Dao said, "Tainted bloodline. However, I have never come across the records of a secondary bloodline of such nature."

Dao Yin nodded, "Hmmm, I was thinking the same. However, it is very much possible that this strain is from a declined or extinct bloodline. Could it be from the demon realm?"

Yang Dao chimed, "Possible."

The emperor said, "You two are indeed from the holy land, you can tell by just looking that I have a tainted bloodline. Can you solve it?"

Although he praised the people, his eyes did not hold much hope. Yang Dao said, "This is a bit tricky. We have no knowledge about this bloodline."

Dao Yin nodded and said, "We can give you something to ease up the deterioration of the bodily functions while we study the matter. Will this be okay with you?"

The emperor nodded and Yang Dao condensed nine needles from the spiritual energy in the void and then he waved his hands. The needles stabbed accurately in the locations of the viscera organs and began to melt in the body. This was directly feeding spiritual energy to the organs, the bloodline seemed to be rejecting the spiritual energy, so this will provide the old man with some vitality to hold on longer.

Dao Yin said, "You are only fifteen this year and your brother is fourteen, the older generations must have used some method to keep this problem at bay. Can you tell us?"

The two people had the bone age of fifteen and fourteen years old. So they were indeed children who were facing the consequences of the bloodline. The emperor said, "The degeneration was very slow in the older generations, however, from the past two generations, the speed has enhanced."

Yang Dao nodded, he looked at the frozen man at the side and asked with a frowning look, "Why do you two have the cultivation base of true immortal third level when you can never cultivate?"

The emperor was shocked he did not expect these people to even see through this, however, he was overthinking, it was just that Yang Dao was guessing because of the bloodline. He said, "This is the ancestral cultivation technique. Before the people pass away, they will transmit the cultivation base to the next generation and the accumulation will result in a better cultivation base."

Yang Dao and Dao Yin nodded and the latter said, "We can try to destroy your cultivation base but then you might not be able to reach this realm ever in your life."

Her words scared the people. Yang Dao said, "Do not worry, we are not going to do that. Yin, collect some blood samples, we need to study them."

Dao Yin nodded and with a wave of her hand blood began to pour out from the pores of the two people, the process was not painful at all. She waved her hand and the blood turned into a blob. Yang Dao collected the blob in a jade bottle and said, "It would be better if this was a glass one."

Dao Yin smiled and the lady said, "We will come back when we are done studying this sample. Please rest and use this talisman to call us if you have any emergency."

With a flick, the frozen man was able to move again, and in his hand appeared a talisman. When he looked up the two people had vanished from their spots. Yang Dao and Dao Yin did appear outside the courtyard and said to the eunuch, "Sir, send us to a quiet room please."

The man nodded and then he took the two people to a separate courtyard not far away. Yang Dao closed the door behind him and said, "There is something really fishy going on here."

Dao Yin nodded and said, "What the heck is wrong with the Fengshui of that courtyard. Why does it seem like the four holy beasts are fighting with each other?"

Yang Dao shook his head and said, "That is the illusion, the dispute is just a representation of the chaos. You know that is why the bloodline of the people is stained, however, what surprises me is, how can they not see the flaws?"

Dao Yin said, "The level of the experts they invited must be bad. After all, these guys cannot see through the mysteries of heaven can they?"

Yang Dao nodded and said, "How do we clear this blood? The effect of this Fengshui is so strong that it can stain the blood of the people."

Dao Yin said, "How about we just try and restore the Fengshui of that courtyard?"

Yang Dao nodded and said, "Let me check something."

Instantly the whole palace was covered with his spirit sense. He opened his eyes and said, "It is not that easy. We will have to demolish the whole Palace and only then the Fengshui will be corrected. That courtyard is just a cog in the machine. In order to extract fortune from heaven, some genius created this setup, but with a simple mistake all the negativity is concentrated on the throne, those who come in contact with the throne suffer from constant negativity extraction."

Dao Yin nodded and closed her eyes she also checked what was going on and understood that Yang Dao was correct, she said, "Will they agree for us to raze this place down?"

Yang Dao shrugged his shoulder and said, "Asking should not hurt, right?"

They gazed at each other and then nodded. They set out to meet the emperor again. They were not stopped by anyone and came to the room. Yang Dao asked, "May we come in?"

A weak voice sounded, "Please."

Yang Dao and Dao Yin entered the room and they looked at the two people. Dao Yin said, "The problem is the Fengshui of this palace..."

She explained every detail they have discovered and Yang Dao even created the model of the palace using spirit energy. The demonstration was shocking when suddenly the eunuch said, "Your excellency, the imperial array master, and Alchemist are here."

The emperor was a boy, he said, "Call them in."

Yang Dao tilted his head and Dao Yin said, "Yang, it is indeed tricky."

The guy just cast her an exasperated look.
