After Lexus left, Aion wondered about the prince. Wouldn't usually the first kid have his marriage first in that kind of world? Since he was the future king, his family was probably being cautious about it.

"Come to think of it, I beat the crap out of him, and I was still invited for the marriage of his sister…" Aion thought.

Regardless, while it was a bit troublesome, Aion had to separate some time for that event. Artemisia probably doesn't want to return to the capital, so Aion felt that leaving her with the death knights was the best option.

Over the course of the next weeks, Aion told Jairo to take some guards to move and build some watchtowers across the terrain. The distance that one person could cross that area until the next part of the Rosberg kingdom could be crossed on a single day, so maybe there wasn't much point in having those, but Aion wanted them anyway.

During those weeks, Aion trained in the dungeon a lot to level up the other classes and make them unlock new ones as well. Around the time the paladin class reached level forty, he began to think that he should focus on that one for the time being.

"Hmm, this one is turning into a pretty defensive class… It isn't bad, actually," Aion thought. "I wonder if I evolve it, that protection can be offered to others…"

It was weird, but even the Paladin class could use magic. They were all defensive spells, though. Protect increased Aion's defense against physical attacks and Magic Defense created a thick layer of energy around the shield to decrease the effects of magic attacks. He could only use on himself, though.

It will come with a high cost, but Aion could counter that using the improvement points. That way, he might be able to offer his mother that much protection all the time. The only problem was that Aion could only use the bones of the monsters of the dungeon to refine the sword and shield… It might take a while using normal means.

While Aion was thinking about that, he returned home and noticed that another visitor had shown up at his house. There were only some horses in front of it… Was it a coincidence that such a thing happened when he began to train using another class? Regardless, when Aion reached his office, he found a man wearing some fancy clothes talking with his mother. Artemisia had a scroll on her head and a sigil.

"Aion… This man here is a messenger of the Histart family," Artemisia said while forcing a smile. "They wrote a letter for you."

"It is a pleasure to meet you, my lord," the messenger said.

"Hmm, is that so…" Aion said when he received the letter.

Aion could imagine the contents of the letter. The Histart family was one that began to make a fortune around one hundred years ago, thanks to the discovery of some mines in their territory. They exercised a lot of influence over the kingdom, and over the years, they bought many lands from other families.

Still, instead of offering some money to buy the lands that Aion got. They were asking for it with the excuse that it would be easier to defend if the lands were split among the families that protect that border… naturally, that was bullshit. Aion's fame was already spreading in the Rosberg kingdom, and they wouldn't do something half-assed for the time being, such as trying to take back only the lands they lost. Besides, there wasn't much to gain on the border aside from the dungeon, and Aion would defend that. So, he was the only one who would have to fight and his territory.

Truth to be told, Aion considered the possibility of literally telling their messenger to fuck off and pass the same message to his masters, but he decided to be cordial for once. They maybe will change their minds and pay him a large sum.

"Tell your masters that I won't… Donate those lands, but they can be bought if they want," Aion declared. "Everything south of the dungeon is up for sale if they are interested."

"Certainly, my lord," the messenger said. "Have a wonderful day, my lady, my lord."

Aion expected that the messenger would insist, but he didn't, and he left in a hurry. Aion watched things from the window of his office and saw the messenger and his guards leaving the city. It was tough, the life of a messenger.

"I thought you were going to hit the messenger to make a point to their masters," Artemisia said.

"Mom… Do I look that violent and unreasonable to you?" Aion asked while frowning.

"No, but I always thought that you disliked the way nobles act, and that letter…" Artemisia replied.

"That is true… I dislike their way of doing things, but I can't close business opportunities by letting my blood rush to the head," Aion said. "Allocating troops or anything similar to the southern part of the terrain will be difficult, so selling that land won't make a difference, and while in the North we will face the same issues, we need a direct and free route to the ocean."

"Even if we don't have a port or ships?" Artemisia asked.
