"That asshole truly doesn't care if he destroys everything in order to save his skin…" Aion thought.

Vangel's true intentions were completely self-centered, and they did not regard anyone else's well-being. It became painfully evident to Aion that Vangel's actions, particularly his ability to mutate his followers, were driven by his own selfish desires. Everything and everyone around him was deemed disposable.

Still, the flames never reached Aion since he teleported around and then beheaded the beasts with some earth blades and then sent half to his pocket dimension.

"I guess I will deal with them myself and give a break to the others," Aion thought.

While he was killing the giant lizards, Aion noticed some commotion on the northern side of the city. Some of the enemies and monsters there were attacking something in there.

Aion immediately used Teleportation and then saw a group of survivors running away while being led by George. His brother also seemed alive and well, so Aion suddenly appeared in front of him.

"Sorry, but no one is going to leave this party," Aion said and then threw George into his pocket dimension while his eyes were wide open.

Everyone else had the same fate since Aion didn't have time to explain anything. Without further delay, he resumed his plans of capturing and killing the enemies. Once again, thanks to Teleport and the fact that the pocket dimension let him create entrances further away from him, it didn't take long for all the enemies to be captured… but it seemed that he didn't do that in time.

As the dust settled and the last of the enemy forces lay defeated, Aion couldn't help but feel a sense of unease in the air. Despite the apparent victory, something didn't feel right. It was as if a foreboding presence lingered, sending shivers down his spine.

Suddenly, a figure darted toward Aion at incredible speed, catching him completely off guard. He didn't even have time to see the enemy coming from a distance… he crossed dozens of kilometers in a single moment as if he had teleported himself as well.

The impact of the attack sent him staggering backward, his body aching from the force of the blow. He blinked in disbelief, recognizing the assailant—it was the speedy mechanic who had caused so much harm with his parasites.

Memories of innocent people suffering at the hands of this speedster flooded his mind, fueling his determination to put an end to the madness. He realized that this encounter was not just a random attack, there was the possibility that Vangel and the others would show up as well, but Aion didn't find any signs of that, and the enemy returned to attack him once again and several times.

"... You are really back," The mechanic speedster said. "We looked for you everywhere, even at different ages, but we didn't find you. No matter, your luck ended that day."

"You would think so, wouldn't you?" Aion asked while smiling. "Well, it is fine… I was planning to kill you all, but better late than never. Where are your friends? This won't be fun without them joining this."

"I am more than capable of handling this on my own," The mechanic speedster said and then disappeared.

Before long, Aion was suddenly blasted away by a powerful punch that made him spin in the air vertically until his back hit the walls of the city… that guy had gotten way stronger than before. Aion's cracked bones were a clear sign of that.

It didn't take long for Aion to understand what was going on… the speedster was using extra speed to increase the mass of his punches. That guy had half of their body made of mechanic parts, but the rest of his body wasn't that muscular… his speed was the only weapon that he needed.

Aion knew how speed and power were connected; that was why he wasn't surprised when he felt the punches cracking his bones. In general, the power of a punch was determined by the kinetic energy generated by the movement of the fist. Kinetic energy is directly proportional to the square of the velocity. So, suppose someone wants to double the power of a punch. In that case, they need to increase the velocity by a factor of √2 (approximately 1.41 times).

In terms of speed, this means that a person would need to move or run approximately 1.41 times faster than their previous speed to double the power of their punch. For example, if they initially moved or ran at a speed of 10 miles per hour, they would need to increase their speed to approximately 14.1 miles per hour. For a guy that could cross dozens of kilometers in a single moment, he could easily make his punches a lot more painful to deal with.

Still, Aion was taking them while waiting for others to come. He used his Inner Release to heal himself and decrease the power of the attacks before the impacts… after being hit a few dozen times, Aion spat some blood while looking at the enemy, who was enjoying himself.

"It seems that Vangel is busy, and the others can't come for one reason or the other; this is convenient for me, but it is too suspicious…." Aion thought while furrowing his eyebrows. "Still, I can't let this chance go... someone like him wouldn't care about losing one ally or two, after all."

Only one thing came to mind, Vangel was trying to gather the fragments of Tenebres in a single… that would increase his powers and make him become even more fearsome thanks to the knowledge that he had. If he wasn't at that age, then Aion could save everyone by dashing ahead. However, if Vangel was moving through the ages, he could just return to the very moment he disappeared. There are too many incongruences…
