Aion changed his class because, naturally, his spear broke. That was starting to get really old… still, after equipping the guardian class and assuming a defensive stance, he just wondered how the hell the enemy managed to block his charged attack… it couldn't be that he could charge his Power Shot that much faster.

"It looks like we will need to use all of our mana this time… buy us some time, Aion," Sauros said. "It will be worth the wait."

Aion was planning to buy time, not to let others win for him, but because he wanted to understand the secret of the strength of the enemy. He was starting to realize that he was a terrible team player... it was understandable given that he did a lot of things by himself until now.

Before he could even begin to think, the archer just nocked an arrow and then fired. Aion barely saw the projectile moving, and to make things even weirder, he blocked the arrow with his shield. Still, he felt five impacts that pushed him backward for several meters.

"Even with my highest endurance…" Aion thought.

The archer didn't seem to be in a hurry. He slowly nocked another arrow and slowly aimed… it was impossible to say what he was thinking since his face was buried under a thick and long hood. When the next arrow was fired, Aion raised his shield again, and this time, he felt six consecutive impacts… the archer was messing with him.

"Aion, don't let the blood rush to your head," Sauros said. "Let the enemy spend his energy, and then soon we will counterattack."

Aion sighed… he couldn't remember the last time that happened, so the warning was useless. Still, that was really unnerving… the idea of holding back was so insulting… trying to be efficient when fighting enemies was one thing, but playing around like that was different.

When Aion took several steps forward, the enemy suddenly fired his arrows and pushed him backward… as if he was saying that he wasn't allowed to cross a certain line. In the end, Aion almost reached the point where Sauros and Seris were… they were covering their ears since the metallic sound during the impacts was too loud.

In any case, without letting the enemy notice it, Seris touched Aion's back and used her powers. When the time comes, he will be able to charge and attack the enemy with all his might…

For a short while, Aion decided to play the game of the enemy and assumed a defensive stance, and blocked the attacks until he noticed the gaze of the enemy changing and focusing on Sauros and Seris… they were ready to shoot, and the enemy noticed that.

The archer suddenly jumped to attack them, and Aion clicked his tongue… without his footing, he would be blown away… before the enemy could shoot his arrow, Aion created a thick ice wall that emerged and supported his feet, and then he raised his shield… the enemy fired his arrow and another shock that made the entire structure tremble took place there…

Sauros and Seris imagined that they would be crushed by the attack, but the ice wall only cracked once the trembling ended. Soon after, they saw Aion landing on the ground, and both of his legs had been crushed when he tried to withstand the attack… his upper body was fine due to his Shield, but he couldn't even get up.

The archer was about to nock another arrow, but those two moved faster and then fired their attacks… a massive lightning bolt and ice spear flew toward the enemy side by side, and the archer could only choose one to hit… that was supposed to be the case, but in the end, he hit both somehow.

The tower trembling was starting to become something repetitive, but they couldn't get used to it. In any case, that impact made the ice melt, and a lot of smoke began to choke the room as well… Aion, Sauros, and Seris had a hard time breathing. They could only hope that they finished the job, but Aion knew that it didn't happen. Still, he could only wait patiently for his healing core to restore his legs.

When things started to become clear again, Aion got up even though his legs still were screaming in pain… Sauros and Seris wanted to stop him, but then they saw the enemy standing on the room's opposite side. He was finally pushed away quite a bit, but the enemy still looked unscathed.

"You can't be serious…" Seris said. "How do you explain this, Sauros?"

"Don't expect me to explain everything, and I don't have all the answers…" Sauros said, looking like he was losing his cool.

Aion's healing core healed his muscles, but the bones on his legs were all cracked. Still, he forced himself to move forward after changing his class to the monk. It looked like he chose the wrong approach…

When the enemy aimed again and fired, Aion punched the arrow with a hook and made it fly to the other side of the room… he could barely see the projectile moving. Still, he could feel it when it was about to reach him.

"It seems that his power to multiply the impact can only work in certain circumstances…" Aion thought while shaking his right hand.

Although he pulled that off, Aion's hand still hurt a bit… It seemed that those arrows were made of diamond or something.

Aion could feel the intention of the enemy when he nocked the next arrow. In the end, when he saw the arm of the enemy relaxing, Aion used Chaotic Punch. A powerful impact took place in the middle of the floor, but Aion didn't lose the exchange. In fact, he got closer to the enemy, and this time, the archer couldn't help but frown.

"Let's see if you are as good at running as you are at shooting…" Aion said while cracking his fingers.
