Aion didn't know if it was better to call that thing a giant octopus or a Kraken. It was hard to say since the top of the monster's head was pointy, but the bottom was round… The creature was black and blue, and its whole body was at least ten meters tall and thirty long, completely slimy, and its eyes were red like blood. The holes in the arms of the creat emitted a strong smell and could drop a purple liquid now and then… if they weren't smashed by the tentacles, the Poison would definitely do the job.

In any case, Aion didn't have time to think of anything else. The massive monster raised one of its tentacles and then slashed at the group like a whip. Sauros and Seris lowered their stances, hoping that Aion wouldn't do the same, and they saw him raising his shield to block the attack… while he wasn't crushed by it, the impact that passed through his legs made the ground vibrate… that couldn't be good.

"Now!" Sauros shouted.

Sauros and Seris began to pull the trigger of the crossbow, and then the beast got wounded and was forced to raise its tentacle. The power of the projectiles opened some small wounds that made some blood fall, but it didn't pierce that much…

"Such high firepower only to do that much…" Seris said, visibly shocked.

"Keep going!" Sauros shouted. "Use the momentum of the beast's attack against it!"

Seris noticed, thanks to that, that another one was coming. Once again, they lowered their stances, but they kept shooting. As for Aion, his body bent down a bit. The pressure and weight had been massive, to the point that his face turned blue.

"Are you all right?" Seris asked.

"Just keep going," Aion replied. "Wound the monster as much as possible, and that will decrease the power of the enemy's attacks."

Although he said that, Aion could feel his bones screaming. He also used Force release in the last moment and healed himself after the next, but Aion could tell that he won't last for long.

"It is time to spend money to save my life literally…" Aion thought as he opened his status screen.

Aion used twenty gold coins to increase his endurance by one hundred points. When the third impact landed, he felt a lot less pain. Still, then he noticed that the beast was using different tentacles to attack… so it would take a while before those two attacks could cause any real damage to a single tentacle.

"The role of a tank that can't move surely is a boring one…" Aion thought. "I can't attack since I need to keep healing myself in order not to let the damage pile up…"

When the giant octopus prepared to launch the fourth tentacle, Sauros and Seris used the last shots of their current magic ones in a single moment. The tentacle of the beast trembled all over due to the pain and forced the creature to stop for a moment.

Sauros and Seris began to reload while feeling that they had obtained their first success in that fight. However, the smile disappeared from their faces when the monster suddenly fired a powerful water cannon toward them…

Aion stepped forward to block it, and while his shield got in the way, he was pushed back several meters… if it weren't for his physical defense. Things would have gotten worse, and a direct hit probably would be lethal since Aion's magic resistance wasn't that high.

"I need to keep an eye on that… those two can't take that hit…" Aion thought.

Fortunately, the monster didn't attack with the water cannon again. Unfortunately, the beast swung two tentacles toward them from the sides. Aion hated to lose his footing, but he decided to jump, and he used Devotion on those two behind them in case they didn't think that was their only option. Still, they jumped, and they all landed on top of one of the tentacles.

Sauros wondered if he should tell them to advance and attack the monster's head. While they would be able to nullify some of the tentacles' power, they would get the full power of the water cannon. In the end, it was too much of a risk for them to take. They jumped away when the tentacles retreated, but they still targeted the enemy's head with their crossbows.

The wind projectiles landed that, and the enemy flinched because of it. The head was the weak spot, but then when they focused their barrage there, the monster used two tentacles to protect its face.

"Let's run around the monster and target its head!" Sauros declared.

"Why I can't ever keep using my footing…" Aion said and then sighed.

They began to run to the left side, and Seris used her power on all of them when another tentacle approached. Thanks to that, they managed to dodge the strike, and they had a full view of the right side of the enemy's head. They began to attack it, but another tentacle got in the way. Moreover, the monster started to turn to the side as well…

"Shit…" Seris said while clicking her tongue and her facial expression turning one of anger.

"Keep going! The creature isn't fast while it is doing that, and its attacks don't have the same sharpness," Sauros declared.
