Panda Novel

“Come here every day? What for?” Zen Master One Finger asked with a smile.

“To be their guardian angel!” Fangzheng said.

“Others might think of you as stupid,” Zen Master One Finger said.

“To go against the flow, you just need one reason! Nothing can be exchanged for my happiness!” Fangzheng grinned.

The two then laughed together.

Eventually, the brood successfully hatched. The tiny fish swam down into the river amidst Fangzheng’s cheers…

This memory flashed past Fangzheng’s mind as he looked at everyone’s complicated looks again. They had turned mild like a breeze and weren’t worth his attention. He had already learned how to change those looks from Zen Master One Finger. The path he took didn’t need the support of everyone. Just one person was enough!

Fangzheng walked towards the hijacker in big steps with his head held high and his chest out.

Upon seeing this, the hijacker was clearly shocked. No one wished to die. Even the hijacker didn’t want to die in a fiery explosion in the sky! He hadn’t met his goals yet!

The hijacker yelled, “Stop there! Otherwise, I’ll blow up the bomb!”

“Go ahead. This Penniless Monk doesn’t believe in God anyway. This Penniless Monk believes that God won’t be willing to see him,” Fangzheng said with a smile as the gap between the two narrowed.

The hijacker yelled, “Stop this crazy monk or everyone dies!”

Just as he said that, someone did stand up to stop Fangzheng.

At this moment, a rough hand pressed down on the person’s shoulder. “Although I don’t know what he’s up to, I believe that it’s best you sit down.” The person who said that was none other than Xiaoxun! Xiaoxun had practiced martial arts from a young age, so she easily pressed the person down.

Elsewhere, Xiaoxun’s grandfather took action as well, holding back another person who was about to stand up.

The pilot wanted to head forward, but he felt his shoulder being tapped. Then, he was forcibly pulled to the back, pushed down into a seat, and had his seat belt buckled. Ong smiled at him and said, “Don’t wander around. Sit tight or you might hurt your back.”

“What are you trying to do?” the pilot asked nervously.

Ong stroked his chin and said, “From the viewpoint of a hijacker, it doesn’t matter whether you pull up the plane or not. Everyone will ultimately die together. It’s just a matter of time. Since both ways lead to death, I’m thinking of betting on the monk’s ability to resolve this crisis.”

“Are you mad?” The pilot wore a look of disbelief. This lunatic was placing his hopes on an idiot!

“Impressive, you can actually tell that I’m mad. You have excellent medical skills.” As Ong spoke, he threw a punch and broke the seat’s hand rest with a bang!

The pilot was shocked speechless.

Instead, it was the stewardess beside who said, “Sir, you will have to compensate for damaging property on the plane.”

Ong: “…”

When the hijacker saw that all the people that stood up were quickly suppressed and that the monk kept approaching, he roared. “Die then!”

The hijacker released his grip on the detonator!

At that instant, countless screams sounded. Some people were crying, some were curled into a ball hugging themselves, others were screaming while tugging at whomever was near. Some people took their phones out, hoping to send a final message…

Xiaoxun stared with widened eyes. It was as though this straightforward lady wanted to see how she would die with her own eyes.

Xiaoxun’s grandfather wore a stoic look, but he showed a tinge of pain when he looked at Xiaoxun.

Ong also wore a look of indignation when faced with death. He hadn’t had his revenge…

In short, all kinds of drama were playing out on the tiny plane.

Fangzheng looked back and took in everything. He pressed his palms together and chanted. “Amitabha!”

His voice was extremely loud like a sonorous boom. It instantly drowned out everyone’s screams, shattering all the horror and panic!

Everyone looked up at Fangzheng with a blank look before looking at the hijacker who had released his grip on the detonator. Finally, they looked around… Everyone was somewhat stunned.

Finally, Xiaoxun was the first to react as she shouted. “It didn’t explode! The bomb was fake!”

Everyone jolted to attention as they yelled, “It didn’t explode! It was fake!”

“F**k! I f**king pissed myself because of a fake bomb…”

“This… So it was fake!”

“Holy sh*t, did this monk know this from the beginning? Otherwise, why wasn’t he afraid?”

“I have no interest in the monk. I just want to give someone a good pounding!” someone jumped up and yelled.

“F**k, I’ve never embarrassed myself so badly since I was born! Count me in on the pounding!”

“Don’t you beat the Master. He’s a good man!” Someone was worried that they would hurt Fangzheng.

“Why would we beat him? We want to beat that liar!”

“Kill him!”

Upon seeing the crowd rouse, the hijacker was dumbfounded. He looked at the detonator in his hand and kept releasing and pressing it, but finally, he said with a sobbing tone, “What the f**k is wrong with this?”

Fangzheng shrugged and grinned. Then, with his pearly white teeth that seemed to glow, he said, “It’s fine. Look, everyone is now roused up. You should act your part.”

When the hijacker looked over, he saw a fist heading straight for him!

Fangzheng immediately retreated with a terrified look and returned to his seat. He buckled his seat belt and said to the old granny by the window, “Patron, the weather today is pretty good.”

“Yes, it’s pretty good. How nice!” the granny said with a chuckle.

Xiaoxun came over and asked, “Master Fangzheng, are you not going to do anything? That guy is about to be beaten to death.”

Fangzheng looked up and said, “That bad, huh? But from the sound of it, he still appears to be very energetic. Hear that? He’s filled with gusto.”

Xiaoxun: “…”

Ten minutes later, through the relentless effort of the pilot, he finally managed to get Fangzheng to shout. “Everyone, that’s enough. The plane is bumpy already, so it’d be a pity if he got slammed around and knocked into things any further. As civilized people of the modern era, we should honorably reason things out instead of resorting to force.”

“Ah! Who bit me?” the hijacker screamed miserably.

Fangzheng covered his face, never expecting to encounter experts who were good at drawing inferences. He hurriedly said, “Alright people. The plane is landing. The stewardess has already said that everyone is to return to their seats as we start our descent. Please make sure your seats and tray tables are in their original position. Make sure your seat belt is securely fastened. Please put away your portable electronic devices…”

Upon hearing Fangzheng repeat the stewardess’s words, everyone felt delighted. All of them got up, releasing their stranglehold or biting attacks. People put their shoes back on as they said, “Thank your lucky stars. If not for the Master, you’d be eating all these socks!”

Fangzheng suddenly found it amiss. Apparently, the plot wasn’t following a wholesome outcome. What actually happened was quite brutal…

However, after confirming that the hijacker was still alive, Fangzheng didn’t say a word.

Towards the fellow who wanted to hijack a plane, apparently to rescue a drug lord, Fangzheng couldn’t be bothered. He waited peacefully for the plane to land.

At this moment, Salted Fish’s voice sounded. “Burp! Phew… Reverend, you humans really have hardcore cakes. It was formidable! With a boom, I even spewed out fire. Burp… Even now, my burps still have sparks.”
