The nicer the director was to Xiang Yi, the more disgruntled the assistant director was.

He perceived it as an insult to him.

'Is he going against me because I don't like Xiang Yi?'

The first round of the competition was over, and Xiang Yi came in first place. She received a mystery prop and a small gold medal.

She opened it and put it back in her pocket indifferently.

On the other hand, Xu Tumi came in last place and didn't get a single reward. In fact, she might even receive flak once the episode airs.

When she thought of how a hater had poked fun at her hair and called her bald previously, Xu Tumi felt incredibly aggrieved.

She froze in place.

A golden figure suddenly appeared in front of her.

"Here's a gift for you," Xiang Yi said casually.

She was usually very tolerant of good-looking people.

In fact, Xu Tumi looked like she was going to cry. Be it because of her upbringing or her penchant for good-looking people, Xiang Yi couldn't bring herself to remain indifferent.

Xu Tumi sniffled her nose and said in a puerile voice, "Are you really going to give it to me?"

"Yes." Xiang Yi nodded.

'Seriously, I left home too soon today and forgot to bring the candy...'

She felt regretful for not using the candy-giving tactic that her ancestors had passed on to her.

Xu Tumi glanced at the medal, and then at her feet, and then at the medal again. She repeated that action back and forth, wanting to grab it but feeling rather embarrassed too.

Xiang Yi seemed to have seen through her as she shoved the medal into her hand.

"I'll go draw some arrows."

Xu Tumi stared at her back in shock.

The arrows they shot before were still on the target, and since there were many, pulling them out became a laborious task but it seemed to be a piece of cake for Xiang Yi. She tugged it gently with her fair and slender hand, easily dislodging the arrow.

The popular young hunk gave it a try too, only to end up having his efforts turn futile.

Xu Tumi grinned and put the medal into her pocket.

Filming came to a halt.

The second round was a game that simulated Counter-Strike, which required a change of venue. The artistes got into their respective nanny vans and treasured every single second of rest they got.

Sister Yan was still trying to brainwash Xu Tumi. "Mimi, Xiang Yi doesn't seem to be a nice person. She's probably trying to use your for your popularity! Think about it, if a man were to do this, wouldn't it be sleazy and gross? Don't fall into her trap!"

Xu Tumi fiddled with the little gold medal in her hand. The program team's props were very exquisite and the medal even seemed to be made of gold. She said distractedly, "Don't you think that she and I share a special affinity?"

Sister Yan was speechless.

"My haters call me Tu Zi (baldie) and her nickname is Tu Zi too (Little Rabbit). Look, this is destiny!"

Sister Yan was speechless.

"Hey, you know what? She really smells good, her hair smells good, her clothes smell good, her body smells good too. No, I have to ask her which body lotion she uses..." Xu Tumi lowered her head to send Xiang Yi a message.

Sister Yan was speechless.

'Okay, I shouldn't have had expectations of this silly girl! I shouldn't have!!!'

The crowd rushed to the site of the real-life counter-strike game and took a short break.

The fans of the popular young hunk and Xu Tumi had both prepared supply trucks. One was a truck with snacks like fried chicken, curry fishballs, etc. and the other offered drinks like lemonade and milk tea.

Everyone was cheering.

When one is tired, food is often the best therapy.

The assistant director took a big bite of the fishballs and criticized incoherently, "Tsk, tsk. That whatever-her-name-is, doesn't even get a support truck. How pathetic."
