The next morning, Xiulan woke up with dark circles around her eyes because she didn't sleep properly. She was lucky enough to wake up a few minutes before she would be completely late for the meeting.

It was an important day, the day to sign the contract. She quickly got out of bed and jumped into the bathroom. Meanwhile, Fu Ling was already dressed and waiting for her.

Luckily, Xiulan made it out of her room before Fu Ling could ask the workers in the resort to breaking down the door.

"What took you so long?." Fu Ling asked with a frown.

"I'm sorry." That was the only words Xiulan replied with.

Fu Ling didn't say anything more to her. He led the way and she followed immediately. Two hours later, the deal was signed and they returned to the resort to gather their belongings and embark on a journey back to their City.

All that was going through Xiulan's mind, was if Fu Ling remembered her actions last night or not, because he didn't mention it, and for this reason, she was scared.

She blamed herself for being tempted and almost going through with the petty action she wasn't brought up with. She was ashamed of her actions last night and wanted to get out of his sight.

Till they landed at the airport and departed, Fu Ling didn't say a word to her, which made her conclude that he really caught her in the act the previous night.

Sitting alone in the taxi as it drove her towards her destination, while a driver from the Fu family dame to pick Fu Ling up, Xiulan felt sullen.

Somewhere around Jia Li's hometown, the three reporters Carlos hired, arrived at Mu Keer's area. They were surprised at the kind of place someone who was related to Jia Li lived.

They didn't even need to locate her house to conclude how poor Mu Keer was, and how much she has been suffering.

"Is it the place Miss Jia Li's Aunt lives?" The female reporter asked as she took out her phone to take pictures.

"This is a large contrast when compared to her current living status." One of the male reporters said while using his camera to video the surroundings, while the other male reporter jotted down his findings.

"Come, let's go on, that Mr. said she lives in that house over there." The female reporter said while pointing at Mu Keer's house which could be visible from the place they were standing.

Quickly, the three made their way over there, with one of the male reporters recording the other two.

Right in front of Mu Keer's door, the female reporter started reporting, while the other male reporter, knocked on the door.

"This is ***** reporting for ***** news. Currently, we are standing in front of the house which happens to belong to Miss Jia Li's Aunt. Someone tipped us where she is living, and Miss Mu Keer also agreed to meet us."

As the other male reporter was about to knock for the third time, Mu Keer answered the door looking all grumpy, but immediately she saw the reporters, she managed to smile.

She didn't want to look all happy since she was aware of what the interview was for. It wouldn't seen good if she was smiling while in a horrible situation of abject poverty, so she thought.

"Miss Mu Keer, right?" The female reporter asked for confirmation as she and the others managed to hide their surprise.

The person they were looking at, was looking old and haggard. Her skin was full of wrinkles. Her looks were a surprise to them.

"Yes, I am Qin Mu Keer, Qin Jia Li's Aunt." My Keer confirmed.

"Can we come in?" The female reporter asked.

Mu Keer tried to hide her embarrassment while saying, "My home is terrible, and not fit to welcome anybody, but if you are okay with it and don't end up getting offended, you can come in."

The reporters did mind, but they came here for business, so they followed her into her house. When they came to what looked like her living room, they couldn't understand what was going on.

Mu Keer glanced at them with a smile and said, "As you can see, I don't have any TV, radio, or furniture here again, because we have sold every valuable just to feed. My children and I now sit on the mat, which doesn't matter now."

Alix had given her some money, but because of this interview, Mu Keer couldn't make her home look good, and besides, she and her children had to first eat to stay alive. If she bought anything new, her debtors will come and carry them, so eating was a priority over any other thing.

"Do you not have a job?" The female reporter asked.

Mu Keer quickly replied, "Who will dare you hire someone who will ask for an upfront payment in this kind of community where everyone is thriving?"

"Are you trying to say you don't have a job because no one will hire you? But why would you need an upfront payment?" The female reporter asked again.

"There is no one supporting my children and me, and we have incurred a lot of debts to the point that our debtors have taken everything valuable we own, and now, we have to struggle to feed. I can't work while hungry, hence I have to ask for an upfront payment. But my two children still try to support us." Mu Keer replied.

The female reporter nodded and went straight to the next question.

"Your children don't go to school, and you mentioned that Miss Qin Jia Li is your niece, how come there has been no help from her, or are we getting things wrong?".

Mu Keer's humbled gaze changed. She no longer looked embarrassed or meek, now, she loved like a tigress, ready to hunt down her prey.

"Please, sit on the mat first." She said to them while featuring with her hand. She had a lot of things to say to them, so they would have to sit first so they wouldn't be worn out from standing for a long time, and get impatient with her.
