Whether Old Mr. Huang agreed to what he said or not, Grandfather Fu was done advising him. At least what grandfather Fu understood from this, is that Old Mr. Huang must have been heartless and hated his daughter to the point that he didn't want to hear her name. But no matter the level of hatred, he was not so heartless as to order for her things to be thrown out even after he found out that his wife has them locked up in the store.

On their way back home, Grandfather Fu made this known to Jia Li and Fu Hua. He said that Old Mr. Huang was a stubborn man who had a lot of pride. Even if he was wrong, he would never admit that.

Just like the death of his daughter, it's possible that he must be pained at heart but he would never let anyone know about it because he still wanted it to seem that he didn't care about her, even after death.

A stubborn man who had a lot of pride and feels that his decisions are right and the best, is always hard to change. Just like right now, Old Mr. Huang was beyond repair and could only be managed like that.

Jia Li heaved a sigh and said, "At least I feel rest assured that I could see my mother's things intact. I had no idea that she wanted to be a fashion desigrepai

"I think you got that talent from her. Don't feel too bad. We can't always get what we want. Your mother didn't get to follow her career path but she got to be with the man she loved, even after death." Fu Hua said.

Jia Li smiled with tears in her eyes as she rested her head on Fu Hua's chest.

Grandfather Fu glanced at them and sighed and moved his gaze away. He wanted to live the remaining span of his life without regrets so that when he joined his wife, he would be proud to assure her of how well he took care of their family and brought them together in her absence.

When they got back home, the rest of the Fu family who has been waiting for their return, felt relieved at their return.

Jia Li spent some time with them and recounted their visit to the Huang family, including how stubborn her mother's father was and how he had refused her to step into his house if Grandfather Fu did not intervene.

After Jia Li carried the little bun that wouldn't let go of her even for a minute to their bedroom, she told Fu Hua of her intentions to invite the Huang family to their wedding.

"You don't need to ask for my permission, you just need to tell me who you would like to invite and their names will be printed on the invitation card." Fu Hua said to her with a smile.

"Thank you! I will show Jasmine my mum's photo album while you go have a shower." Jia Li said with a smile.

Fu Hua kissed her cheeks and the little bun, before taking into the inner room.

"Jasmine, do you want to see my mum's photos?" Jia Li asked with a smile as she brought out the old photo album she took from the Huang family and placed it on the bed.

"Grandma?" Jasmine asked as she came to her side to sit on her thighs.

Jia Li smiled and held the little girl with one arm. There was enough space for her to sit beside her but she chose to climb into her arms.

The mother and daughter spent a lot of time going through all the pictures in the photo album and when Fu Hua came out from the inner room dressed in his nightdress, he joined them.

While Jia Li went to wash up, the father and daughter spent some time together.

The next weekend, Jasmine dragged her mother out of bed to go and see Ocean and her grown kids.

"It looks like you have been having a good time with them in my absence." Jia Li said to the little bun as she lifted her to go to the bathroom. She wanted them to at least brush their teeth and wash their faces before going outside the house.

Thankfully, Winter was over, so it wasn't that cold outside. Jasmine was truly in a hurry to go and see Ocean because immediately her feet touched the ground, she ran towards the dog kennel while calling out to Ocean, Avery, and Archie.

When the dogs heard her voice, they started barking. Seeing that the mother and daughter came for the dogs, their caretaker let them out of their cage.

You need to have seen the way Ocean and her grown kids rushed out of their kennel and ran towards Jia Li and the little bun with excitement.

A big smile appeared on Jia Li's face when she saw Ocean and her kids. She hasn't been spending time with them for a while now but she was happy that her little girl dragged her to go and see them.

Ocean knew who her true owner was. She first ran to Jia Li to greet her, before circling the little bun who was surrounded by Avery and Archie.

When Fu Hua who came back from his morning run heard the barks of the dogs, he walked curiously to their kennel only to see the mother and daughter playing with them.

When his eyes rested on the excited little bun, he smiled and thought to himself, 'She really got that gene from her mother.'

Fu Hua was referring to her love for dogs.

In the afternoon of the same day, Jia Li got a call that the dresses for the bridal train were ready, so she went with FangSu to check them out.

So as not to be seen, they both wore nose masks before going into the mall. Jia Li's wedding can not be leaked till she and Fu Hua or the Fu family, released an official statement.
