The Hidden Wife Of The Cold CEO

384 We can't do anything

"I'm not threatening you. I'm just saying what I want to do because I don't like your attitude. I was forced into this marriage as well but I was trying to work things out with you. But it looks like it's not possible. I don't want to live with someone who is rude and wouldn't regard me." Yang Peng said and walked away.

The only thing Bai Jun thought was that she was in deep trouble if Yang Peng goes to report her and cancel their marriage, so she stopped him.

"There is no need to cancel the marriage because I have already made up my mind for it." Bai Jun said to him.

Yang Peng removed his arm from her grasp and said to her with a deep frown on his face, "You are not acting like someone that has made up her mind for this marriage. Today you stopped me from canceling this marriage and remember that I won't tolerate your arrogant attitude and your insults again."

After giving her a clear warning, Yang Peng walked away out of annoyance. He has already warned her ahead of time and it was up to her to choose to cross the line or not to.

Now left alone, Bai Jun was so angry that she stomped her foot. She thought she would be the one to have the upper hand in this new disgusting relationship but it turns out that the person she was getting married to, was not a fool.

After checking things out and discovering that she couldn't control him, she was very angry. She was at a big disadvantage. And now, she wasn't allowed to vent her anger and frustration on him.

After releasing a deep breath, Bai Jun turned around only to see one of her Aunties standing beside a pillar and was watching her with her arms crossed.

Bai Jun was shocked as she didn't how long she has been standing there and how much she hearned.

The third daughter-in-law of the Bai family had a sharp gaze on Bai Jun as she approached her.

"Give me one reason I shouldn't slap you and report you to your father and grandmother?" The woman in her late forties asked.

Bai Jun's heart skipped a beat as she confirmed that her Auntie heard everything she said to Yang Peng. Seeing her fierce gaze, Bai Jun lowered her gaze and replied in a low tone...

"I'm sorry. I said those words out of anger. I lied and I didn't mean them. If you hit me now, everyone will see my face and know that something went wrong. I promise to behave."

The woman scoffed and said with a serious gaze, "Bai Jun, do you think you will survive if Yang Peng cancels this marriage? Tsk...tsk I promise you that I will kill you! Do you see how much your cousins and uncles are suffering in the company because of you? I will return the same pain to you a thousand folds if you go out of line again. Bai Jun, you better behave or I will save everyone the stress of worrying too much and get rid of you since you can't be redeemed."

Bai Jun still had her gaze lowered as she listened to the threats. she didn't dare to raise her head or say a word after being caught in the act. Her life would be meaningless if the words she said to Yang Peng got into her father's or grandmother's ears.

"You just offended someone who you wouldn't have had any problems with if you respected yourself but it looks like you will have to rely on yourself and your monthly salary because you won't be getting anything from the family again and I wish you luck with finding a means to take care of yourself."

This piece of news was shocking to Bai Jun because she was never expecting that her family would cut her off financially once she got married. This was another turning point for her. She was so angry that she would hardly keep her mood in check when she went back to the room full of people.

When Bai Jun got back home, she went straight to her bedroom and her mother followed her immediately when she noticed that she was not in a good mood.

"Jun did something happen at the hotel?" Bai Fen asked in a worried tone.

Bai Jun skipped the important matter and went straight to tell her about being cut off financially from the family

Bai Fen sighed and said to her, "No matter how unfair this is to you, we can't do anything and I am helpless. Don't worry too much, I will send you some money every month. I will not allow you to lack anything."

"Thank you, mum!" Bai Jun said as she finally felt a little relieved. She almost felt like crying with the changes in her life, but who could she cry to?

When Bai Fen went back to her bedroom, she thought how much her daughter had had to suffer for more than a week now both in the family and at work and her heart was almost bleeding.

Picking up her phone, Bai Fen took advantage when her husband was not in the room and called Chyou. Bai Fen called to ask her to look after Bai Jun at work but Chyou rejected her.

"We don't have any business together after your daughter got into FJ. I am not her instructor here at work and besides, your daughter will face many challenges if she wants to make a foothold here."

Bai Fen didn't get to say anything again before Chyou ended the call.

"You ungrateful woman! After spending so much money on you, you don't care about my daughter's affairs!" Bai Fen cursed angrily.

She knew that Chyou didn't owe her anything but she was expecting her to show a little care towards her daughter while at work, given how much she spent on her.

Monday came too fast again and everyone was back to work. Bai Jun became the center of attention because of the ring on her finger and it was also then that the others noticed that Jia Li wore one as well.

Since they have been working together, no one has really paid attention to Jia Li's fingers as it was normal for young ladies to put on rings these days...
