'What if I recruit them to join my Barden Territory?' Aethelwolf suddenly grinned as he thought of this. The Barbarians might be simple-minded and brutish, but each of them was born with incomparable physical strength! They could become powerful warriors if trained well! 

Aethelwolf watched the battle between both sides with a calm gaze. He intended to help the Barbarians in the right opportunity. 

At this moment, the Gigantic Desert Scorpions became furious as more and more of them died. They erupted with strong power and fearlessly attacked the Barbarian warriors! 

Facing the group of vicious Gigantic Desert Scorpions, the Barbarian warriors were forced to retreat. Even the three Level 5 Espers leading them were pushed back by the Gigantic Desert Scorpion King! 

Suddenly, the earth trembled, shocking the Barbarian warriors who were still in the midst of battle. Soon, thousands of Gigantic Desert Scorpions emerged from the sand and issued threatening roars. Their deafening cries stunned the Barbarian warriors and when they saw the huge wave of new enemies, their morale was weakened. There was even another three Level 5 Gigantic Desert Scorpion Kings that emerged to the surface.

"Don't falter! The land behind us is where our families live! If we fail here, our wives, children, and friends will become food for these creatures! Raise your weapons and kill these beasts! Charge with me!" One of the Level 5 Barbarian leaders shouted. His words immediately ignited the spirits of the Barbarian warriors. 

"Charge! Kill!

"Kill these beasts! Do not waver!" 

"Die!" 

Seeing the ferocity of the Barbarian warriors, Aethelwolf couldn't help but admire them. These guys were forced to live in the harsh lands of the Northern Region and they were used to the constant bloodshed and war. It was also because of this that the Barbarians' growth rate was faster than the Espers in the civilized regions. 

"It's time to show myself!" Aethelwolf muttered as he prepared to make a move. He randomly grabbed a Divine-Rated weapon from his storage space and gripped it tightly in his hand. This was a Divine-Rated longbow that was enchanted with Level 5 runes. The lethality of its arrows could directly kill a Level 5 Esper! 

This longbow was one of the many items that Aethelwolf crafted after becoming a Level 5 Blacksmith. It wasn't even the best in his collection, but it was more than enough to kill the Gigantic Desert Scorpion Kings! 

Meanwhile, the Barbarian army had already clashed with the newly emerged Gigantic Desert Scorpions. They violently wielded their weapons without caring about their injuries. The magical beasts were innately stronger than them so they formed groups to subdue one Gigantic Desert Scorpion. They might be simple-minded, but war was already engraved in their bones and this stratagem was something that they had naturally learned. 

Hiss! Hiss!

The battle was in a stalemate, but the energy of the Barbarians was slowly being depleted. It wouldn't be long before they would use up all their energy. Once that happens, they would become snacks for these hungry magical beasts! 

"Are we really going to die here?" 

The Barbarian warriors were slowly weakening and the hope in their eyes dimmed as the battle continued. 

Swoosh!

Suddenly, a dazzling ray of light appeared out of nowhere and penetrated the tough scales of a Gigantic Desert Scorpion King! The ferocious creature couldn't even block the attack and a huge bloody hole could be seen on its body. The beast roared in pain and violently thrashed on the ground. After a minute of struggle, its body slowly became limp and it fell onto the ground with a loud thud, sending a cloud of sand into the air. 

"It died just like that?" 

"How in the world did it die?" 

"Who killed it?" 

The Barbarian warriors were stunned and they immediately looked around, searching for the killer of the beast. However, they failed to discover the hidden expert. 

Suddenly, a few more streaks of light descended from the sky and violently struck the remaining Gigantic Desert Scorpion Kings, directly nailing them to the ground! It was at this moment that the Barbarian warriors finally noticed what these lights were. They were actually arrows formed from a dense cluster of world essence! Soon, the energy arrows dissipated and the Gigantic Desert Scorpion Kings fell onto the ground in pools of blood! 

Just as the Barbarian warriors were about to cheer, thousands of energy arrows suddenly blotted the sky, shining with incomparable brilliance. They descended like a rain of swords, piercing into the bodies of the Gigantic Desert Scorpions! 

Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!

The ferocious beasts that caused them to feel despair could only emit helpless cries before they collapsed into their own pools of blood! 

The Barbarian warriors were too shocked to celebrate their unexpected victory. Some even dropped their weapons from sheer surprise. 

"Who is it? Please show yourself so that we can express our gratitude!" A Level 5 Barbarian warrior who was wearing a lion skull mask shouted. This person was the shortest among the three Level 5 Esper, but the Barbarians seemed to treat this guy as their leader. 

Aethelwolf decided to show himself when he heard this. With the Divine-Rated long bow in his hand, he appeared in everyone's line of sight. 

"So that's the divine weapon that killed those vicious beasts? It looks powerful!" 

"That expert doesn't look like someone from a Barbarian tribe. He is also wearing the clothes of someone from the civilized regions." 

After he showed himself, the three Level 5 Barbarian leaders walked toward him. "Thank you for your help, esteemed sir. May we know your name?" They bowed politely. 

Aethelwolf kept the long bow inside his storage space and smiled as he replied. "My name is Aethelwolf Lassiter. I'm relieved that you guys are fine." 

His words made the Barbarians have a good impression of him. 

"So it's Sir Aethelwolf! My name is Amishta. My people call me the Barbarian Empress." The short Level 5 Barbarian leader took off her mask and revealed the face of a dark-skinned young lady with a wild beauty. She was wearing full body armor so even Aethelwolf didn't recognize her immediately.
