When Gu Min landed in front of him, Yang Su stood there staring at him with a blank expression while tears ran down his cheeks.

“What, you won't even come running to hug me after not seeing me for so long? You always did when we were little. Or have you grown too big now? You’re almost as tall as I am.”

Gu Min said this jokingly, but Yang Su could only lower his head and began wiping his tears.

Gu Min walked up to him and hugged him.

“It’s okay, why are you crying?”

“I-I thought you died because of me. And Mom and Dad, they…”

“Did they blame you?”

A sad expression appeared on Gu Min’s face, but Yang Su shook his head.

“No, after they thought you died they wouldn’t let me out of their sights. It's because of you that I couldn’t even set foot outside of the house.”

Gu Min cracked a smile when he heard his little brother’s words.

“I’m sorry I didn’t come home, I-”

“It’s fine.”

Yang Su suddenly said cutting off Gu Min.

“As long as you’re fine I don’t care if I never see you again, I just want to know you’re not hurt.”

Yang Su’s hold tightened around Gu Min and his tears continued to soak his robe.

First, it was his Master, and now it was his older brother. Yang Su really couldn’t help but be this emotional, and even as he tried to stop his tears they just continued to flow.

He and Gu Min stayed like that for a moment before Gu Min said.

“Yang Su, I need you to continue looking after Mother and Father okay?”

Yang Su nodded, having calmed down a bit.

“But you have to return so you can meet little Zai, he hasn’t seen you once.”

“Okay, I promise.”

Gu Min patted Yang Su’s head before he turned his attention to Li Shen and the others.

“Are these you’re friends little Su? Why don’t you introduce me.”

Yang Su released his hug before he turned to introduce Fang Chen, Tai, Fei Yin, Lihua, Jun, and Mu Fan first. he also briefly mentioned Lu Shin and Fuanghu's group.

However, when Yang Su made the introductions and Gu Min turned to look at them, each person felt uneasy. After all, they had just witnessed him going toe to toe with that mysterious figure.

And for those who were on the ship, they all recognized that the transformations he went through were similar to Yang Su’s own.

The last person Yang Su introduced before Li Shen was Jun. He skipped over Xian who was nearby.

“He’s your disciple brother little Su? Then this person must be your Master.”

Gu Min said as he looked at Li Shen.

Li Shen met Gu Min’s gaze and more than anything he was curious about this person Yang Su called older brother.

“I’m his Master but also an older brother to little Su.”

Li Shen suddenly said.

Gu Min did a double take when he heard that before he suddenly burst out laughing.

“Well, I do see why little brother would see you as a 'replacement' big brother, but aren’t you too young to have two disciples?”

Gu Min suddenly raised his hand and ruffled Li Shen’s hair.

All of a sudden Li Shen was reduced to a child.

‘Brat, I’m way older than you, even I don’t know how old I am!’

But in all fairness, he was seventeen approaching eighteen, or eighteen approaching nineteen if the year he spent inside his Clan’s dimension before he went missing was counted.

However, this was all his physical age, his soul was much much older. Li Shen didn’t want to factor in this aspect into his age normally as he didn’t even make it past thirteen in his past lives, and the one time he did he was stunted emotionally at age eighteen.

But anything to one-up this person!

Though, despite the distaste of being treated like a child, he felt that he was allowing himself to be treated like one by this person.

As Gu Min rubbed his head, he almost reminded Li Shen of Wu Fei.

His older brother.

He was dejected. He couldn’t compete with something like that so he looked away.

Li Shen tried not to show a reaction listening to these two, but this entire situation just had his head filled with so many questions.

As his mind was swimming with questions, the old man Gu Min called Master suddenly said.

Li Shen was shocked but still responded honestly.

‘Senior, I went through a Heavenly Calamity during my breakthrough but it was too strong so I almost died, but my soul luckily escaped even though I lost my physical body.’

After revealing this fact, Li Shen suddenly heard Gu Min’s Master snorted before saying yelling angrily.

‘So that’s what he did! Listen here brat, that bastard on the throne, if he wasn't the one who sent you that Heavenly Calamity then he's the one that made it so you almost died!"

‘What? How? Why would he do that?’

‘Huh? Are you not a God-kin from the God Race in the Celestial Realm? He’s an Elder of the God's Counsel that presides over the broken Heavenly Mandate. Even though he’s a lower-level Elder, he still has some authority over the Heavenly Dao in this Lower Realm to influence the Heavenly Calamity during your breakthrough.’

Li Shen’s mind started to buzz, he knew of the God Council but he was sure it wasn’t the same one this person was talking about.

Realizing Li Shen’s confusion, Gu Min’s Master said.

‘Alright forget that I said all of that, you’ll eventually come to know what I’m talking about. Instead, focus on the fact that this bastard is a thief!’

‘Senior, what exactly did he steal for you call him that?’

‘Brat, how are you so bloody clueless? The thing he stole is your physical body!’

‘What?’

Li Shen suddenly felt an uncontrollable amount of anger rise in his heart.

Without any further explanation, Li Shen knew what had happened.

Gu Min asked, noticing Li Shen’s reaction from the corner of his eyes.

‘I know why he brought everyone here.’

‘Huh? Brat you do? I’ve been clueless this whole time, that’s why I wanted this fool to stay away from this place!’

‘But Master, this was the only chance I had where I could see my little brother without that Monarch Gu knowing. He would have placed a Soul Imprint on Little Su as well if he knew he had the other half of your Inheritance.’

This conversation was quite interesting but Li Shen already stopped listening to this Master and disciple.

His brain was working on overdrive and all those scattered pieces of information he hadn’t realized started to come together.

But that pillar attracted attention, not from the people of Maple Continent somewhere far away. And ever since then, someone has been watching him, manipulating his every move.
