The Dawn of the New World

1205 Did it though

Uri met Gi-An's baffled gaze, "You have to send him down, I'll tell you where."

"I can't even get close to him, how will I do that?"

"By using the powers I gave you, you fool! Get ready!" Uri shouted before closing his eyes.

"We can't send him to the city, it's too dangerous. I will find the people he has been associating with and call them to a safe place somewhere outside where no one else will be able to find them."

Or that was his plan but the more Uri looked the deeper his frown got.

They were all either busy with something that required their utmost attention or in a situation where they were simply unable to respond like Henrik. There were only two figures that were even actively looking for him.

"I guess this will have to do. I will call as many of them as possible," he mumbled before sending out a series of vague and cryptic messages to draw them away.

Once that was done he sent the location to Gi-An's mind.

"Here, send him to this place quick!"

Then it was Gi-An's turn to close his eyes and begin the process. The countless tattoos all over his body began to separate and rejoin in different shapes to create an entirely new pattern.

Once they solidified the new pattern resembling the tentacles of some deep-sea creature that should have never seen the light of day came into being.

He took off his shirt to reveal a squirming black hole on his back which was the source of the tentacles.

The tentacles started spreading out towards his arms and forehead and when he placed the palm of his hands on the ground the tentacles began to leak out onto its surface.

It looked like an ink drawing that was gradually getting bigger and bigger. The tentacles surrounded a 2-meter area around Hao Xuan but they were only two-dimensional and could not reach out.

Once a perfect circle was formed around him Gi-An suddenly turned his hands over and following his movements the tentacles shot up towards the barn roof where a similar pattern was created.

It was an eerie thing to witness for sure. The tentacles wiggling through the air looked as real as anything else around them but then they turned into drawings upon hitting a surface.

The area on the barn roof right above Hao Xuan looked like an ocean in every way imaginable. There were even some instances when the waves smashed against one another and water droplets fell down on his face.

At this point Gi-An's entire body was trembling from some unseen force as he tried his best to keep the tentacles under control.

"IT'S READY!" he shouted and Uri immediately gave him the green light.

"DO IT!"

They had to shout because the sounds of roaring winds and waves crashing against one another were drowning out everything else.

Upon receiving permission Gi-An started to close his hand to make a fist. Copying him, the tentacles started to close in from all sides but when they got within half a meter of Hao Xuan an invisible force kept pushing them back.

This resistance was also reflected on Gi-An's body because he could not close his hand entirely.

"NO! IT'S NOT WORKING!" he screamed.

"WHY? WHAT'S WRONG??"

"THERE IS TOO MUCH RESISTANCE! TOO MUCH OF HIM! IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE, I CAN TRANSPORT A SMALL ARMY BUT NOT HIM?!"

Uri inspected the tentacles himself and found Gi-An to be correct.

"LOGIC DOES NOT APPLY TO SOMEONE LIKE HIM. GO DEEPER, USE AS MUCH POWER AS IT NEEDS!"

Gi-An opened his eyes halfway, "ARE YOU SURE? IF I GO ANY DEEPER IT COULD WAKE THAT THING UP!"

"WE HAVE NO CHOICE, ITS A RISK WE HAVE TO TAKE...EVEN IF IT MEANS AWAKENING A SLEEPING ABYSS GOD!"

With gritted teeth Gi-An nodded and opened his hands again. Numerous other tentacles shot out from the ground and the barn roof until Hao Xuan could not even be seen among them.

Closing his hands the tentacles started to come together and this time there was a lot less resistance. It was slow but it was happening.

"IT WORKED!" Gi-An smiled but the very next moment all blood drained from his face.

"No...it sensed me," he whispered just as a defeaning deep-toned growl reverberated within the barn.

It was coming from the roof where the image of the ocean had come to life.

All the water that could be seen from that small 'window' began to move back and forth and the colors darkened around it. Something incredibly large was moving under its surface.

"HURRY!" Uri shouted.

Despite the looming threat Gi-An stayed in that position until Hao Xuan was completely engulfed by the tentacles and they along with him disappeared.

Ecstatic, Gi-An tried to close the connection and pull back his hands but they wouldn't budge an inch.

The world suddenly went quiet.
