The Blue Eyes

Joseph had a secret underground laboratory that was only known by him and Selena back then. They secretly experimented on Mike's body in the secret laboratory.

The head of Orka Researched Center was strongly against Joseph's idea to use the formula, so it was impossible to experiment with it in Orka's laboratory. That's why he built the secret laboratory to do their secret 'mission.'

It had been a few days since Joseph injected the red formula into Mike's body, and it was time for them to see the outcome of the formula.

Mike was lying unconsciously on the bed inside the laboratory. His eyes were still closed tightly, but his chest was still moving up and down. The kid was still alive.

Joseph and Selena waited for the kid to wake up. They wanted to see the effect of the formula on Mike's body. Selena was anxious, but Joseph looked so excited. He was so sure that his experiment would succeed this time.

Selena didn't have any hope for the formula. She just hoped that Mike would be fine. She just hoped that the formula wouldn't harm the poor boy.

They had been waiting for a few minutes until finally, there was a reaction on Mike's body. The body, which was still lying on the bed, suddenly shook violently.

Selena looked panicked and tried to hold the boy's hand, but Joseph quickly grabbed her wrist. She looked up to see her boyfriend shook his head at her. Selena knew that Joseph didn't want her to interfere with the process.

Mike's body kept shaking violently, and not long after, the hair on his body lengthened rapidly, and Mike's figure also grew bigger. Joseph and Selena widened their eyes at the unexpected transformation.

"It's not good, Jos!" Selena shouted in panic.

Joseph didn't know what to do, and before he could do anything, the human figure of Mike had completely transformed into a black werewolf. They froze as they witnessed the bizarre transformation.

Mike's eyes slowly opened, and a pair of red eyes glared at them right away.

"He... he turns into a monster, Jos! Please do something!"

Selena was beyond panic when her eyes made direct contact with Mike's red eyes, and Joseph immediately tried to do something to subdue the monster before he could cause havoc. The professor grabbed a syringe and a formula, then injected the formula into Mike's body using the syringe.

Not long after, Mike's crimson beads once again hid behind the eyelids. His body also stopped shaking violently. The monster was now calm once again.

Selena and Joseph could heave a sigh of relief.

"It's a failure, Jos! Our experiment is a failure!"

Joseph didn't respond to his girlfriend's words and was still staring at Mike's unconscious figure. He just injected a formula to make Mike fell unconscious, but the newly injected formula couldn't return Mike into a human again. Mike was still in a form of a big werewolf with black fur.

"We should find a new formula to return him into a normal human, Jos," Selena spoke again. "If we can't do that, then we should kill this monster before he can harm humans outside! I have a bad feeling about your formula, Jos. I feel bad for Mike, but we should destroy him and his monster form before anything bad happens!"

Joseph was still silent, but not long after, he stiffly turned to his girlfriend. "No," he answered firmly. "It's a success, Sel. It's not a failure at all. I can feel this kid became stronger because of my formula, so our experiment is successful!"

Selena was speechless. Their original plan was to make humans stronger, not creating a monster. How could Joseph say that their experiment was successful?

"I'll rule the world using the formula, Sel."

Selena's heart fell into the deepest pit when she heard her boyfriend's words. It was like a nightmare. Why did her boyfriend want to rule the world all of a sudden?

"What... what do you mean, Jos?"

Joseph turned to her and stared at her gloomily. "The world is against me all this time, Sel," he said darkly. "The kids in my orphanage, the caretakers there, my friends in school, and even our boss is against me! Can't I have my revenge, Selena?"

Joseph's dark irises radiated a deep sadness. It was so deep, but it was so obvious in Selena's eyes.

Selena had known Joseph for so many years. She had known him since they were in elementary school. Back then, Selena was Joseph's only friend. When other kids chose to stay away from Joseph, Selena was so kind to stretch her hand out to him, letting him hold her hand when he wasn't strong enough to stand alone.

Ever since their first meeting many years ago, the two of them had a good relationship. They started as best friends before finally, they decided to be lovers two years ago.

Selena knew Joseph for his black and his white, for his high and his low, and his good and his bad. She knew that Joseph only had her in his life. She didn't want to leave Joseph alone again.

"What do you want to do, Jos?" Selena asked weakly.

Joseph finally smiled when he saw the girl relented. He was happy to have Selena by his side.

"I'll do more research on the formula, Sel. I'll make it perfect so we can control the werewolf."

Selena smiled faintly. She decided to just follow her boyfriend as long as he was happy.

"I will help you, Jos," she replied to her boyfriend's words. "What should we do with Mike now?" She added as she turned to Mike, who was still lying unconscious on the bed.

Joseph turned to Mike as well, and he seemed to be deep in thought. He didn't immediately answer Selena's question, and Selena patiently waited for his answer.

"Let's go get more Allabands for the experiment."

Selena widened her eyes when she finally got an answer from her boyfriend.

"What?" She asked in disbelief. "Why do you want to go get more Allabands? Is Mike not enough for you, Jos?"

Joseph turned to her again and sighed. "He's not enough," he answered. "I want to take revenge on the whole Allabands. You're willing to help me, right?"

Selena was in trouble now. She knew that her boyfriend's intentions were not good, but she couldn't refuse him.

If she left Joseph alone, then Joseph might go crazy and destroy the world for real. If she stayed beside Joseph, at least she could advise him little by little until the man was willing to let go of his grudge.

Yes, Selena believed that Joseph would be a good man again in the future. People could change if they had a reason to change.

"I'm willing to help you, Jos," Selena finally replied. "How should we do to get the Allabands?"

Joseph smiled as he raised his hand to stroke Selena's black hair. Selena and him had jet-black hair that was as dark as the night. Many people told them that they were look-alike, and Joseph agreed with their opinion.

"You don't need to worry about that. I'll take care of the matter, so you just need to focus on the formula."

Selena nodded her head in understanding. "Then, we should prepare a place to confine Mike, Jos. We can't let him go outside like this, can we?" She then asked.

Joseph once again turned to Mike and nodded his head. "You're right," he agreed with his girlfriend's suggestion. "Let's make a dungeon in this place. We can confine our future monsters here until we can fully control them."

"Are you sure we can control them, Jos?" Selena asked again.

There was a hint of doubt in her tone, and Joseph once again turned to her.

"Of course," the man answered. "We're the ones who created the formula, and I believe that we can modify the formula to make it perfect. You don't have to worry, my darling. I'll do my best so we can control the monster."

Selena finally smiled. There was a tinge of blush in her cheeks when she heard Joseph's sweet words. Joseph was not a romantic type, but sometimes he could be romantic in his unique way. Selena loved the man dearly, and she believed that the man also loved her the same.

Selena always believed that she and Joseph were a couple made in Heaven. Their meeting was destiny, and she believed that they would make a happy family in the future. She imagined having a child or two with Joseph, and they would be a perfect family together. That's a simple wish, but that's always been her dream for so long.

She had made up her mind. He would stay beside Joseph for the rest of her life. She would stay with him until he was willing to go back to the right path. She believed that she could change Joseph if she could try harder.
