According to his calculations, there was none. Jin Rou and Syni Su were doomed to die here in this place. As a matter of fact, it was just a few minutes or so and they would kiss their heads good bye.

Of course, Demure wasn't dumb to rely on his singles calculation. He had a lot of scenarios predicted and had given them the respective methods to deal with. He was a cunning devil, after all. He wouldn't let his enemies take even an ounce of advantage against him.

"I advise you to not do anything funny, Jin Rou." Demure coldly said in a calm manner, "Your lady's life is in my hands, anytime I can kill her without batting an eye. So you must be careful of your decisions."

The devil was adamant in taking the lady as his hostage. Right now, it wasn't the talk of being fair to his opponent or not. Losing wasn't an option for him, thus he would use all tactics at his disposal to take care of this battle.

Jin Rou didn't say a thing. He just stood there, looking at the helpless Syni Su. He was still hesitating if he would do it or not. Though he wasn't a saint, he couldn't bring himself to sacrifice the princess. In fact, it wasn't very manly for him and he even condoned it.

But he didn't have the choice to make as their lives were playing by the hands of the devils.

Syni Su kept on sending him messages telepathically. She insisted on being the bait and immediately do his thing so that they would emerge victorious. She was willing to use her life to let Jin Rou have the time to kill Demure and Karshias.

"Damn it." In the end, Jin Rou could only sigh and grit his teeth in helplessness. This was the only method he could think of.

Then, Jin Rou took two steps backward and three steps forward.

The devils didn't know what was he trying to do. Resulting in his brows arching up.

'Is he giving up?' Demure observed Jin Rou carefully and his surroundings. So far, there wasn't any disturbance around him. Thus, he could exclude that Jin Rou was trying to do something big. However, he couldn't help but knit his brows. He felt like something was coming so his guard was up and the dagger was next to Syni Su's neck.

He was going to kill this girl immediately should he found Jin Rou attacking. And that was without hesitation.

Karshias was just standing there, waiting for Demure's command. Since he saved his life, he wanted to repay it by being obedient even only this moment. Demure was the brain of this place, so he was letting the cunning devil think of their moves.

As for what he was seeing? He didn't care at all. Jin Rou was going to die anyway.

Just when he was waiting for the command, Karshias wanted to say something but suddenly he felt a cold chill running down his spine.

Demure also felt this and became terrified. He immediately moved the dagger to cut the lady's neck. However, the unpredictable came around.

"Timeos." Jin Rou silently mumbled. Then, everything turned gray.

It looked like the time stopped as everything paused. Then, he hurriedly went to Karshias and grabbed his heart without further ado, and exploded it.

After which, he came to the immobilized princess and immediately carried her away from Demure. Jin Rou wanted to kill Demure but it looked like he had roughly guessed what would happen and immediately activated a tough defense in his body.

Jin Rou only had a short time, thus he couldn't kill Demure with efforts.

"Bang!" Next, everything went back to normal as time flowed once again.

"Thud!" Karshias didn't have the time to scream and rage when he just fell down to the ground with his chest wide open like someone teared it apart. His heart was missing also.

Just like that, a devil died.

Jin Rou was cursing under his breath. It was his last method to deal with the enemies especially Demure. He actually could activate Timeos for around almost a minute. And that's more than enough to kill him even though he fortified his defenses. Unfortunately, Jin Rou's Timeos had cut very short due to the injuries he suffered. So, he chose Karshias to kill.

Though he was feeling bitter because it didn't reach the calculations he expected, at the very least he saved the princess and killed a devil with a major role.

Syni Su was looking at him with teary eyes. She didn't expect that Jin Rou would use his time to save her. She knew that Timeos' time had used almost of it just for her. Though she said that she was willing to die, deep inside her was the buried feeling of wanting to be saved. It was just that she didn't want to put on more weight on Jin Rou's ankles by dragging him down.

So, she couldn't help but be grateful. She expected that Jin Rou would use it to kill the enemies. If not for her being held hostage, these devils would have died long ago.

Syni Su wanted to express her thanks. But she held back. It wasn't the time for it. Maybe, when they got out of this and all the problems have been settled.

Demure blanked for a while and looked at the fallen Karshias. He looked below him to see if the princess was still there but she wasn't. She was already by Jin Rou's side, catching her breath.

His plans have been ruined because of this miscalculation. Karshias shouldn't die, unless he did his job. He had a vital role to perform when facing the strongest beings of the family. However, he was by the dead and he couldn't bring him back.

"You ants!!!" Demure lost his usual calm demeanor and revealed a raging killing intent with a boom, "How dare you, measly humans, ruin my plans for the Emperor?!!! You all are seeking death!!!!"
