I played with Ying Yue and the two Wan sisters for the whole night until the flame burning inside them subsided. After that, I covered them with a blanket as I went out of the room and headed for the office. I left an order for the sisters to keep an eye on Ying Yue, just in case.

Along the way, I wore a more comfortable set of clothes—a shirt and baggy pants—as I sat down at the clan head's table and sighed.

"How should I explain this to Fang and Igni?"

I muttered in melancholy.

They would surely be angry that I slept with other girls before their turn even came. At that time, I'll just accept their anger and do them any favor that they wish for.

I dug into the sea of documents, taking my mind off such matters. Of course, I ignored Guren, who was lying down in the middle of the room, asleep. I focused only on processing the pile of documents that I haven't had the time to read.

Morning came, and along with the rising sun, everyone woke up.

The first to move were, as expected, my three girls. They quickly noticed the disturbance and ran to my side. Ember was the fastest, as she just teleported to my location.

"Master, are you alright?!"

She jumped in to embrace me, checking my body for any injuries. I just smiled at her and patted her head, telling her that I wasn't injured. Although I was technically wounded before, it was nothing that a little potion couldn't patch up.

Soon, Fang came forward, jumping out of the shadows.

"Leader! I suspect that a large-scale sleeping skill was used last night! Are you..."

Her words trailed off as her nose twitched. Then she frowned.

"Leader..."

She stared at me with teary eyes. From the link with her, I could feel her dejection and disappointment.

At this moment, Igni burst through the door, sending it flying and landing on Guren, who was still on the ground.

"My Lord! Were you...!"

However, as soon as she entered, she saw the teary-eyed Fang and stopped. She looked around as her nose twitched, and she similarly frowned.

"My Lord... wasn't it our turn next?"

She looked at me with a reprimanding gaze. I could only smile wryly, trying to explain the situation and how it led to that.

---

After a long sermon by the two, everyone across the whole clan grounds was already back on their feet. This includes the five shadows that were usually following me around.

As a side note, I checked their faces while they were asleep and was surprised to see familiar faces. Still, they seem to want to keep it a secret, so I just kept my mouth shut, acting oblivious to their presence and identity.

Rather, I got interested in the technique they used to mask their energy. Even my eyes couldn't see through that, leading to my inability to identify them.

Later that day, around noon, Aunt Luo returned with Goddess Vermeil. Although she tried to hide it, I could see hints of apologetic glances getting sent in my direction. She must've helped Ying Yue out of her sense of loyalty to the Luo.

The matter they came to tell me was that the preparation for the transfer of position was already done. I applauded Aunt Luo's work speed, which honestly was beyond my expectations. I thought it would take a week at least, but it ended in a single night.

After passing the details, Aunt Luo looked over me with a complicated gaze. Then she bowed her head lightly as she spoke.

"My daughter may be prideful and impulsive, but she's a good girl at heart. Please take good care of her."

I stiffened. Her words were definitely those of someone who knows what happened. I glanced at Goddess Vermeil, and she was looking at me with a wry smile. I could only scratch my head as I replied.

"Well, after all that happened, I guess it's my responsibility to look after her now. Don't worry, as I'll make sure to bring out the good girl in her."

She was already a "good girl" last night, so it should be easy.

Aunt Luo smiled knowingly before leaving.

"..."

I suspect that Goddess Vermeil had a method to watch what happened last night, and she showed it to Aunt Luo. If not, and they just read all those details from my actions alone, then those women are scary.

After that, to prepare for the coronation that was scheduled in three days' time, everyone became busy. I, on the other hand, got stuck in the office for almost the whole day during those times. The only moment I left was when I needed to go to the toilet or when I tried to run and ditch the work.

Of course, sleep wasn't included in the schedule.

Two days passed, and I was finally allowed to sleep. I had 12 hours set aside for it, as tomorrow was my big day. Ember, Fang, and Igni dragged me to the bedroom... And before I noticed, it was already morning.

Ahh, what can I say? With three beautiful girls lying around me, accompanying me to sleep, I ended up not getting a wink of it. I feel slightly dizzy, but that's a fair price to pay.

What did we do? Of course, what else? We chatted the whole night about random topics! You know how if you are kept awake for too long, it's harder to sleep when it's time for it? That happened, so we spent the time chatting instead.

I enjoyed Igni's surprised expression as she learned about my memories of a past life. As the three pestered me for episodes from my childhood, I ended up being the only one speaking from then until sunrise.

Ah, I forgot, but there were shadows present in the room too. Fang blocked the sound of our discussion with a barrier, though, so there's no fear of having that bit of information leaked.

Soon, a knocking sound was heard from the door, and Chiyome's voice echoed.

"Clan head, you should start preparing for the ceremony soon."
