System at One End and Harem at the Other End



As David contemplated his plan, he made his way back to the fantasy world, utilizing the calculated time difference to his advantage. Returning to the exact location where he had left, he observed that mere minutes had passed on Earth, while several hours had elapsed in the fantasy world.

Timing was crucial, and he had managed to arrive just before the dungeon crumbled and disappeared, signaling the completion of his quest.

"Boom"

Exiting the dungeon, a resounding boom reverberated through the air as the structure collapsed and vanished, erasing any trace of its existence. Security personnel, in awe of David's solitary victory, rushed towards him, expressing their admiration and concern.

"Are you alright, sir? Did you slay the monster?" one of the security personnel asked, their eyes filled with admiration. David responded with a confident smile and affirmed their assumptions.

"Yes, I defeated the monster," he replied, his voice laced with self-assurance. Recognizing the significance of his achievement, the security personnel quickly asked other personnel to report this news to the main adventures guild branch and guild leader.

Meanwhile, David hurried towards SilverHaven town, where the vice guild leader resided. Obtaining his guild license was a priority, but he also needed to come up with a plausible excuse for his extended absence. While on Earth, only a day or two would pass but here he knew that his absence in the fantasy world would be much longer.

Arriving at the adventures guild, a buzz of excitement filled the air. Word had spread about David's solo completion of the S-rank dungeon, attracting a crowd eager to witness this remarkable feat.

However, he noticed that Luna was conspicuously absent. Speculating that she might be engrossed in her training, David brushed off any concerns and focused on his goal.

Pushing through the crowd, he made his way towards the office of the vice guild leader. The anticipation was palpable, and David couldn't help but feel a mix of pride and eagerness. He was about to achieve his goal and obtain his guild license, solidifying his status as an esteemed adventurer.

As he reached the vice guild leader's office, surrounded by curious onlookers, he prepared himself to present his accomplishments and request his guild license. However, thoughts of Luna's reaction lingered in his mind.

As David entered the vice guild leader's cabin, he noticed the anticipation in the air. The vice guild leader stood up from his chair, gesturing for David to take a seat on the sofa. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of curiosity and disbelief.

"So, when will I get my license?" David inquired eagerly, his eyes fixed on the vice guild leader.

The vice guild leader met David's gaze, his expression a blend of intrigue and incredulity. "You really managed to kill the monster?" he asked, struggling to comprehend the feat of clearing an S-rank dungeon alone.

David proceeded to recount his adventure, vividly describing his entrance into the dungeon and the encounters he faced along the way. He spoke of the swarms of pesky bats that obstructed his path, the treacherous journey to the boss's lair, and the moment he laid eyes upon the formidable Succubus.

As David spoke of the Succubus, the vice guild leader involuntarily swallowed the saliva, fully aware of the level of danger posed by such a creature. Succubus were notorious for their seductive charms, capable of ensnaring even the most seasoned adventurers. Yet, David's words painted a picture of resilience and determination.

David continued his narrative, recounting the chilling scene he had encountered in the Succubus's lair. He described how the Succubus had been in the midst of draining the life force of an unfortunate adventurer when he arrived.

Regrettably, the adventurer had already succumbed to the loss of vitality, leaving David with no chance of rescue.

Swiftly, he removed the lifeless body from his portal, placing it on the ground. Sensing the gravity of the situation, the vice guild leader promptly summoned his staff to handle the necessary rituals for the fallen comrade.

Undeterred by the somber moment, David pressed on with his account. He shared how the Succubus, upon noticing his presence, immediately directed her attention towards him, employing her captivating charm abilities.

With a hint of pride, David interjected, revealing that he had acquired a skill capable of removing status effects, thereby rendering himself immune to the Succubus's charms.

Confident in her seductive prowess, the Succubus approached David, believing him to be easily ensnared in her grasp. However, unbeknownst to her, he had already surpassed her skill.

In a swift and calculated maneuver, he launched a relentless assault, engaging in a fierce battle against the alluring temptress. David emphasized the intense combat that ensued, skillfully leaving out the specifics of what actually happened in lair, knowing that the vice guild leader didn't need to know the finer details.

"And that is how I emerged victorious, clearing the dungeon," David concluded, his voice filled with a sense of accomplishment.

With a deliberate whisper, he uttered the words, "open portal." In response to his command, the air crackled with energy as the portal materialized once again, its ethereal glow filling the cabin with an otherworldly ambiance.

The portal opened before David, and with a swift motion, he extracted the lifeless body of the Succubus from the depths of the his storage portal. Carefully, he set the remains aside, ensuring the cabin remained untarnished by the grotesque sight.

With a sense of purpose, he proceeded to retrieve the various minerals and materials he had collected during his exploration of the dungeon. The portal seemed to overflow with a wealth of resources as David emptied its contents into the confined space.

Amidst the assortment, he spotted a book on charm techniques and mana stone of succubus, which he decided to keep, thinking it might be of use to Luna or fetch a good price if sold.

As the cabin became filled with the unexpected influx of materials, the vice guild leader's voice echoed with amusement. His eyes widened as he surveyed the diverse assortment laid out before him.

"My, what is all this?" he exclaimed, clearly impressed "Did you retrieve all this from the same dungeon"

"Yes" David replied.

David nodded in response to the vice guild leader's question, confirming that he had indeed discovered these treasures within the dungeon's depths. The vice guild leader examined the assortment with keen interest, appraising each item before him.

Pondering for a moment, David quietly muttered to vice guild leader, his eyes fixed on the mana stone and the forbidden charm book obtained from the Succubus.

"These seem valuable. I'll keep them," he said, contemplating the potential uses and worth of the items.

"Ok you can keep them" vice guild leader nodded in agreement, without even inspecting their contents, the vice guild leader, caught up in the excitement of the moment, gave his approval, allowing David to retain these newfound artifacts.

Turning his attention back to David, the vice guild leader spoke with a determined tone, "We will take care of selling the monster, and your commission will be duly transferred to you."

"Ok"

David simply nodded, his gaze fixated on the vice guild leader as he marveled at the preserved state of the Succubus.

Considering the excellent condition of the monster, an idea sparked in the vice guild leader's mind.

"Perhaps we should auction this creature," he suggested, his voice brimming with anticipation.

"That way, it will fetch its true value. Many nobles and affluent individuals have a penchant for displaying such exotic creatures in their collections."

The vice guild leader's gaze shifted towards the crystals and other materials gathered from the S-rank dungeon.

"And these crystals and materials will surely command a higher price, given their origin," he continued. "If you wish, you can also submit any additional items for the auction."

As David stood before the vice guild leader, his voice quivered with hesitation. "So when will this auction take place?" he asked, his mind already filled with plans he needed to settle on Earth. His desire to participate in the auction clashed with his obligations back home.

The vice guild leader, leaning back in his chair, took a moment to ponder the question. His eyes narrowed in thought before he finally responded, "It will likely be nine to  ten months from now. We need ample time for promotion and preparations."

As the information settled in David's mind, he began calculating the time frame. nine to ten months in this world translated to roughly nine or ten days on the earth where he came from. A sense of relief washed over him, realizing he would have enough time to address his matters on Earth.

With a newfound assurance, David spoke again "I won't be available for next few months, as I will be going in for a secluded training". Vice guild leader in acknowledgement.

After completing the necessary formalities at the guild and securing his license, David made his way to the inn. Upon entering  the inn, he spotted Luna in the midst of absorbing the stone he had given her. Engrossed in deep meditation, she was unaware of his presence, and he chose not to disturb her.

David then settled the rent for the room, paying for a duration of ten months. He emphasized the importance of privacy during his absence and requested that the room remain undisturbed. In case Luna inquired about his whereabouts, he instructed the innkeeper to inform her that he had embarked on secluded training for several months. With his arrangements in place, David left the inn.
