Spirit Soul

175 Dinner

Having received permission from Lyon, both Kyle and Yasmine felt happy.

Their reasons were different and so was the permission, but that didn't matter right now.

From being forced to face multiple problems at once, Lyon made almost all of them vanish with his answer. Relieved that his efforts had paid off, Kyle smiled radiantly.

Seeing the shine in his eyes, Lyon could only sigh inwardly, feeling that the young man in front of him was way too impatient.

"Why don't you stay here and rest for a few days? Aren't you tired of traveling all through the wilderness? I doubt you've had lots of time to relax, let alone to cultivate properly!"

It was evident that Lyon wanted to spend a few more days with his daughter, who was clearly eager to leave them and follow Kyle and Beatrice instead.

To support her husband, Yelene added.

"Furthermore, the three of you should get to know each other a little bit better. This might be important to figure out what problems might occur while traveling together.

Other than that, making preparations is very important and so is a proper plan. You still have no idea how to enter the Lahin kingdom without being killed, or enslaved, right?"

Yasmine's mother was smiling lightly while saying all of this, which caused Beatrice to gulp nervously.

She was not sure why, but contrary to Kyle's perception, Yelene seemed to be the most ferocious. In her opinion, she was just really good at hiding her true intentions.

However, it was exactly this fact, one could consider being extremely dangerous!

As such, Beatrice eyed Yasmine's mother a little longer and had a weird feeling about her. She felt wary of her, only to hear Kyle's slightly depressed agreement.

"That is probably the best. I was too excited to get to know that we are allowed to shorten the gap to our destination, and momentarily forgot the other issues we have at hand."

Getting to know each other was important to build mutual trust while figuring out what they were supposed to do in order to enter the Lahin Kingdom was equally important.

This was even more so the case because it looked like Yasmine wanted to follow them inside the Lahin kingdom. That made it a total of three different foreign race beings that planned to enter a kingdom that didn't want them.

Kyle was already struggling to enter alone, but with two other beings that were evidently different to Lohars, everything was a little bit more complicated than it was supposed to be the case.

Because of this small issue, coming up with a proper plan might be the best idea.

After giving it some thought, making use of Yasmine's family seemed to be the best possible idea, which caused him to ask straightforwardly, without holding back.

"Is it possible to form a formal envoy that wants to build up connections with the Lahin kingdom's royalty…or maybe higher ranked nobles?

The only thing we have to do is enter the Lahin kingdom and find a way to the Glory Knights academy because that is the place she will, most likely, be.

As long as I find Selene, everything should be fine because I believe that she can take all of us in as servants, or if its unavoidable and absolutely necessary, as slaves. This doesn't mean we will really be her slaves, but we will belong to her in the face of the Lahin kingdom's laws.

However, even then, there are quite a few uncertain factors that cannot be planned, which is what I'm a little bit worried about!"

The current situation didn't leave much leeway for him, and he thought that Yasmine's wings were the biggest hindrance to the early phase of his plan.

They were quite clearly visible if they wanted to hide somewhere.

Kyle didn't think that she was able to retract them yet, which meant that showing up as an embassy from the Anadra kingdom to build up new connections with Lahin kingdom might be the best to solve the issue of Yasmine's appearance.

Otherwise, she could be considered as a walking sign that said [We are not Lohars], which was rather disadvantageous, and certainly not something Kyle, or anyone, wanted to happen.

Despite that, Kyle had thought of holding back from openly stating his opinion because they were still standing inside the combat arena, with Melin looking at the entire situation in doubt.

He was wondering how the atmosphere could have changed so quickly, and how it was possible for Kyle to be so at ease.

Knowing that the fight had been extremely burdensome for the young man with emerald eyes, Melin was astonished about how nobody felt that Kyle's current condition was weird.

Shaking his head, he felt completely out of place.

As such he apologized to his master for losing the fight and asked if he could go back to his room and away from all the discussion.

Lyon had momentarily forgotten about his direct disciple. Thus, he just nodded his head, excusing Melin, who had seen his Master's reaction.

Unable to say anything, and feeling as if he had disappointed his master, Melin turned around before he walked in the direction of the gate that led to the hallway in which his room was located.

His head was hanging low, and Melin's mood was evidently the worst possible as he stumbled towards the gate.

Everyone except Lyon saw this, but nobody except Kyle said a word.

The others were still thinking about the words that had been said just a few seconds ago.

Only Kyle reacted properly, feeling a little bit guilty about the sudden situation.

"Yo, Melin! While I'm here for the next few days, let's spar a little bit. You helped me quite a lot and fighting against you was really exciting!"

AT first, Melin had expected Kyle to laugh at him for being able to defeat him, but in the end, the exact opposite happened.

This astonished the young man a lot. Lifting his head, he looked at Kyle, who had been looking at him with a smile.

Seeing him, a faint smile emerged on Melin's face the moment he digested what he had heard.

Kyle was certainly serious about the words he spoke, and after understanding this, Melin couldn't help but nod his head vigorously.

"Yes, of course, let's spar a lot during the next few days!!"

His initial disappointment vanished and Melin seemed to be full of renewed vigor as his bad mood shattered into countless fractions.

Prancing a little, he rushed back in his room, resting on his bed as joy and relief filled his entire being.

Meanwhile, the others continued to think about possible ways to figure out a way to solve the problematic situation of entering the Lahin kingdom.

"It won't be possible for us to send an embassy to the Lahin kingdom because there is already one that had been sent out a few months ago.

If we were to send another one, either the first embassy would be deemed as incompetent, or the royalty of the Lahin kingdom would feel that something is wrong.

Following that if someone were to vanish, and not one but three members of the embassy, at that, it would surely give birth to several new issues.

These issues would be quite severe too, and not worth the possible gains!"

It was Yelene who said this, and she hit the nail on the head, destroying Kyle's hastily put up plan before it was even completed.

Standing inside the combat arena with his back drenched in cold sweat, he was unable to think of another idea. Thinking of an idea, Lyon suddenly suggested.

"How about everyone freshens up and we speak about a proper plan during dinner? We have a few days to come up with a plan. For me, my daughter's well-being and security is the most important, so we will need to have a foolproof plan A, and for unforeseen incidents, plan B, and C!"

This idea was accepted by everyone, and it didn't take long before a butler entered the arena, leading Beatrice and Kyle towards a hallway where each of them was then directed to their own spacious room.

They were located next to each other, and Kyle could even see a door in the wall between their rooms.

As such, it was easy for them to find one another if it was necessary.

However, instead of doing so, they took a shower, put on a new set of clothes, which was not exactly helpful in Kyle's case as his clothes were rather old-fashioned and not purchased for formal meetings before they called for the butler.

Having showered and put on the clothes roughly at the same time, the butler came to take both of them.

When the butler's eyes fell on Kyle, he frowned despite the fact that Kyle's clothes couldn't even be called shabby anymore.

Kyle couldn't help but swallow his saliva when he saw what Beatrice was wearing.

Looking at himself, he saw literal trash hanging on him, if he were to compare it to the black dress that tightly enveloped Beatrice, revealing her slim body, and her long legs.

Before, Kyle had already been aware that Beatrice was beautiful.

Yet, the contrast of her silky silver hair that cascaded down her back, hiding her fair skin that would be revealed through the open back made her look stunning.

And, her crimson eyes further complimented the black dress.

The dress highlighted her curves perfectly, and when Beatrice saw Kyle's gaze lingering on her, she couldn't help but smile seductively as she teased.

"Do you like what you see?"

Expecting Kyle's cheeks to flush red, she was a little bit astonished when he nodded his head with a glint of surprise in his eyes.

"Of course I like it, you look beautiful! The dress suits you perfectly! But I didn't expect Karnias to bring you such a dress. Looks like he liked you more than I initially expected."

Caught off-guard by his unexpected words, Beatrice was not sure if she should thank him, or try to beat Kyle up.

His praise about her beauty had made her feel happy, but the comment that followed suit was something she didn't have to hear.

Thus, despite her anger, she kept quiet, telling herself that she would take revenge on him once the time was ripe.

With that in mind, she smiled lightly, shrugging her shoulders almost untraceable before she retorted.

"Who knows what his intention was."

Kyle dropped the topic and didn't tease her more.

The butler led them to the dining room, which resembled a huge hall, where a lengthy wooden table with all kinds of food had been dished out.

The food was still hot and fresh, but Kyle was unable to focus on any of that. He looked at the small family of three in front of him with a light frown before he bit on his lower lip.

'This must be a joke, right?' He could only think while looking at their formal clothes, the suit Lyon was wearing and the red dresses Yasmine and Yelene wore.

It would be a lie to say that even one of them didn't look stunning.

While compared to them, he stuck out like a sore thumb. Once again, Kyle couldn't help but look at his clothes before he sighed deeply.

"I really need to buy some proper clothes…it seems!"
