Solo Cultivation in The Apocalypse

Kyoryu sat on the seat at the back. "Do you know what danger you have put him into by keeping him 'away' from the danger? This little Onogee is nothing in front of HIM. If he wakes again, a snap of fingers will end it all for everyone."
She dropped her head again. He did realize how she had jeopardized his life. Although Akuto would not come out anytime soon, it is going to take Hitori forever to level up with him. So even five years are less.
Kyoryu rubbed his eyes and said, "I want you to tell him the important things tonight. You know what you have to say And keep Kakashi away when you do this."
She hummed in a reply. She could barely say anything.
"About Kamiya… that is your decision. But I want you to know that…" He moved his hand from his eyes. "That Kamiya's condition has got worse than before. Now I can't even guarantee his survival. I am sorry."
She bobbed her head, gasped, and opened her mouth, but no words came out. She felt like had just heard someone dear to her is going to die.
"I will still try my best… so leave now." He got up and went back into the cave without even looking at Eya.
And neither could she look at him. She kept staring at the seat he was sitting on. She gulped and made herself leave the lair.
She thought about how the hell was she going to tell Hitori about his parents' death at a time like this. It will only do two things– depress him, or give him the motivation to cultivate.
As they say, bad things take less effort to happen. She knew the first one was likely to happen, and that scared her. I need to talk with…
Her words faded in her mind when she heard Kyoryu's voice saying, 'Keep Kakashi away when you talk with him.'
She shook the thought out of her mind and focused on navigating through the forest. After five minutes of walking, she found her card flying above her head. She grabbed it and continued her way to the exit.
She was totally different from when she had gone inside. She was lost in her world and did not notice a person walking toward her. He was smiling but his smile faded when he saw the expression on her face.
"Hey, are you okay?" he asked, but she walked past him without even noticing him. He felt rejected. He extended his arm and grabbed her shoulder from behind.
When she felt someone on her shoulder, her eyes widened his fear, and she turned in an instant. She drew her wand and pointed at the person behind her. She opened her mouth and was about to chant the killing curse when the person raised his hand and stepped out of her wand's range.
"Whoa! Shit, Eya!" he shouted, "what did I do?"
She snapped from her anger when she heard the voice. Her eyes rested back in place and her grip loosened on the wand.
"Why are you so angry? Did something happen in the forest? Wait, where is Kakashi?" he asked.
She was sorry for pointing her wand at Jiyara. He just had stopped to greet her, but she mistook her for someone else.
She pushed her hair back as she kept her wand in the skirt's strap. "Oh god… don't just grab me from behind… you startled me."
He lowered his arms. "I startled you? YOU startled me!" He pointed his finger at her. "I called you first, then I stopped you."
She frowned. "Y-You did?" She tilted her head and pulled her chin in.
"Don't make that face," he muttered. "Seriously, what is wrong?" He scanned her. "Did you get something from the forest?"
She tried to suppress the shock. She realized she was empty-handed. "No, no, actually… I was just… I just went to— forget it. I am fine, thanks for asking. Bye!"
She ran. He watched her run down the hallway. "Why is she… what is always wrong with her?"
It has been the case since the time when he was in the first year and she was in the second year. She was volunteering and she was not with Kakashi, he always had trouble reading her.
Hitori watched the Wizard Towers and the eagles flying above the towers. Three men in each tower scanned the area without taking a pause.
He teleported till he was in the main city. Then he walked all the way to the academy admiring the beauty of an early summer morning. He was worried about exhausting his mana, and he believed he would need it if things go wrong– he would be in the academy the whole day, but still– so he saved most of his mana.
He opened his system and looked at the mana required for entering the next domain. How do I cultivate so much mana? By killing monsters in real life? He had stopped playing, after all, so yeah.
He met Mono in the cafeteria and ignored his group on the way, especially the bully who glared at him on the way.
He greeted Mono and then went to the courtyard. He took a seat under the tree and unleashed his thoughts.
Is she safe? Is she still sleeping? Are they keeping her safe? Will that bastard comes back? I should get finished with this shit and get it the Vr-cade as soon as possible.
And other shit. He spent half an hour thinking of ways to defeat Onogi and his attacks. He even tried to figure out his next step.
He concluded: He will send men disguised as mages. He will send Tengoku. Or he will storm my house the way I stormed his.
The birds seemed to love gathering in the courtyard. Of course, with the number of trees and plants and flowers, they do love it in the courtyard.
The door opened and the three volunteers entered the courtyard. A girl and two boys– around the same age– were talking.
"I heard two volunteers clubbed their groups and toured the classrooms," said a guy.
"So we were thinking, Rio, how about we do the same?" said the other boy.
Hitori raised his head. He was not sure he heard it right. Reon? Did he say Reon?
