Hearing Gongxi Kuangdao’s words, Ling Chuxi suddenly realized Huangfu Qingjue seemed a little different than usual. His face was pale, and his gaze was a bit dull, as if he was exhausted.

“So what? Even if I can’t use my full cultivation, I can still kill you.” Huangfu Qingjue straightened his spine and exclaimed arrogantly.

“Really? Show me how strong the cultivation of the legendary Divine clan is then!” Gongxi Kuangdao smirked, then slashed his blade out at Huangfu Qingjue.

Gongxi Kuangdao was using all his strength in that one move, which was many times stronger than his attacks when fighting Ling Chuxi. Following that blood-colored light curtain, a dark aura enveloped the entire Crystal Palace.

Facing such a fearsome attack, Huangfu Qingjue merely smiled contemptuously and without flinching, swung his sword.

The move was like sunlight at dawn, piercing through the clouds and emitting thousands of rays of light, penetrating the endless darkness. With one move, the dark aura covering the palace was swept away, and even the patterns on Gongxi Kuangdao’s demonic blade became indistinguishable.

Gongxi Kuangdao’s eyes widened in shock. He wanted to retract his blade and escape, but it was too late—the move was simply too fast. Ling Chuxi could not even see the sword move, and could only see the rays of light flash past Gongxi Kuangdao.

“Argh!” Gongxi Kuangdao yelled, holding on to his abdomen as he hastily retreated. There was another cut on his solid armour, and blood was oozing out of it.

“Such a terrifying move!” The blood drained from Gongxi Kuangdao’s face, and he stared at Huangfu Qingjue in terror.

Huangfu Qingjue’s arrogant words were true! Even without being able to release the full potential of his cultivation, it was indeed more than enough to kill him!

Without giving him any chance to catch his breath, Huangfu Qingjue once again slashed out, and a strong aura was released from his sword. It condensed into a sword-shaped illusory shadow, heading towards Gongxi Kuangdao as if wanting to cut through a bamboo.

“Retreat!” Gongxi Kuangdao shouted, finally realizing the difference in strength between him and Huangfu Qingjue. A hand seal speedily formed in his hand and with a flash, he turned into a black mist, disappearing right before their eyes.

Right before it could vanish, however, the sword-shaped illusory shadow that emerged from Huangfu Qingjue’s pure sword sliced through the black mist fiercely, shattering a large piece of white jade on the wall behind it.

“Ah…” It was as if Gongxi Kuangdao’s miserable wails came from another world. His cries slowly faded away, but there was a pool of bright red blood on the ground. The sword had managed to strike him with a heavy blow, leaving him seriously injured.

The rest of the armored warriors knew from the start that they were not a match for Huangfu Qingjue, and were already preparing to escape. They all turned into black mist and retreated along with Gongxi Kuangdao.

The Gongxi Kuangdao that was seemingly invincible had become so vulnerable under the might of Huangfu Qingjue!

Ling Chuxi was shocked to see the handsome and graceful Huangfu Qingjue in front of her, and stood there in a daze.

Huangfu Qingjue raised his head and smiled gently at Ling Chuxi. Before Ling Chuxi could say anything, Huangfu Qingjue’s body swayed, and blood leaked from the corner of his mouth.

“Qingjue!” Ling Chuxi rushed forward to support him, worry clear on her face. Huangfu Qingjue was injured as well!

“I’m fine, don’t worry.” Huangfu Qingjue reached out and gently embraced Ling Chuxi, trying to comfort her.
