Li Hang thought that it didn't count if the food only looked appetizing. What mattered was that it tasted good.

When he took the first bite of the crystal shrimp dumpling, it was truly delicious. The skin of the dumpling was particularly tasty, and the shrimp was juicy and fresh.

The ingredients were fresh, so it tasted especially good.

For the first time in his life, he felt powerless.

"It's very tasty."

Sheng Yusi calmly replied, "I like to cook in my spare time. For me, cooking is a new way to destress. In the past, I would cook and eat by myself. It wasn't much fun. What makes me happy nowadays is for Wu Tong to enjoy the food I made. Every time I see Wu Tong enjoying my food, I feel that the cooking was well worth it."

Wu Tong didn't seem to notice the two men arguing. She sat herself down at the dining table.

"Professor Sheng, that's because your cooking is great; I'm addicted to it."

Li Hang almost choked when he heard that; what exactly did she mean by "addicted?"

"Professor Sheng, if you ever make anything delicious again, I would be happy to try it. I am a true foodie. Wu Tong used to do all the cooking, so I'm a novice in the kitchen. I'd probably set the kitchen on fire just by trying to boil water."

Wu Tong glanced at Li Hang and wondered if she detected a faint pride in Li Hang's voice. Did he think that making a mess in the kitchen was something he should be proud of?

Sheng Yusi was not shy. He countered, "Mr. Li. If you live by yourself, then you should learn to take care of yourself."

"Professor Sheng, you're right. I have no experience in this area. I'll ask you for any advice on how single men should live."

Wu Tong had no interest in their argument, so she focused her attention on eating as they kept on arguing and insinuating things about one another.

"Professor Sheng, would you like to come with me to have a look at this new data?"

Sheng Yusi nodded.

Wu Tong and Sheng Yusi began discussing work matters.

Li Hang wanted to listen in on their discussions, but he had no idea about Wu Tong's line of work. He could not understand any of the jargon that Wu Tong used.

He thought that Wu Tong looked exceptionally beautiful when she was concentrating.
