Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

Chapter 154 - Dean's Scary

When they got to the kitchen, Monica just took some bread from the fridge, then spread it with pineapple jam. Besides that, she also took an ionizing drink and was about to take it to her room without waiting for Raymond to finish cooking an omelet for her.

"Monica!" Raymond called when he realized the girl he was in the kitchen was about to leave. He turned off the electric stove, then turned to look at the girl. "Don't go yet, I've finished cooking and I want us to eat together."

"I just want to eat this bread. this is enough to make me full," said Monica flatly.

Raymond sighed as he looked down at Monica wistfully, leaning his waist against the stove table. "I know I have done many wrongs to you, hurt you, even troubled you. Please don't always dodge, give me a chance to make things right."

"I'm not running away, but it's too late and I have to go back to my room," Monica said as she was about to step out of the kitchen, but Raymond grabbed her hand and pulled her.

"Raymond!" Monica couldn't dodge and now faced the man, even her chest seemed to stick to the man's chest.

"Don't go," said Raymond, looking down at Monica with a gaze so cold, intensely observing every curve of the beautiful face of the girl in front of him.

"Eh, yeah... I won't go but don't be like this," Monica exclaimed, stuttering averting her blushing face, then releasing Raymond's grip on hers. She immediately walked towards the dining table but earlier said, "I'll wait there."

Raymond smiled and immediately put the sausage omelet mixed with scallions on a beautiful white plate, then carried it to the dining table where Monica was waiting for him.

"Next time, act as usual. I won't do that again," Raymond exclaimed as he sat down in a chair opposite Monica who was across from the table.

"I'm acting normal, and I've forgotten your indecent act," said Monica curtly.

Raymond smiled at Monica's cheeks which slightly puffed up in anger. It feels like pinching or even kissing the smooth cheeks that are barely covered with any pimples. Ah, but he refrained from that girl would run to the room and eat together at midnight it would fail.

"Once again I'm sorry and . . ." Raymond stared at his omelet, which didn't look very appealing. "Now I'm cooking this especially for you. This is my first time cooking and I hope you like it."

"Is it true that this is your first time cooking?" Monica asked with a probing look.

"Yes, and I cook for you," Raymond replied with a warm smile. That smile made Monica blush instantly with a blush on her face.

"Do you want to eat it yourself, or shall I feed it?" Raymond asked raising an eyebrow, but before Monica could answer he said, "I'd better feed you because you've done so much for me."

"Hey, that's not necessary. I'm not Calvin or Sofia that you like to feed," Monica exclaimed as she took a small fork and knife from Raymond's hand.

Raymond raised his hand, avoiding Monica who was about to take the knife and fork. "Please, let me feed this beautiful girl in front of me."

Monica also sighed resignedly and looked at Raymond who was slicing the omelet, then fed it into her mouth. With hesitation mixed with nervousness or embarrassment, she accepted the bribe.

"How does it feel?" Raymond asked with an enthusiastic smile.

Monica ate the omelet shyly and even covered her mouth with her hand. Gosh, even though it wasn't the first time she had eaten in front of Raymond, but the girl was nervous right now. Not without reason, but because the man kept staring at her intensely.

"It feels good. but a little too salty," Monica finally explained.

"Really?" Raymond smiled shyly. "Then tomorrow I will cook again with the right taste."

"But it's good because I like sausages."

"Then let's eat this omelet together. after that, I won't stop you from going back to your room," said Raymond, then slice the omelet again and fed Monica.

until a few minutes passed they ate together with Raymond who always fed Monica until she felt full, finally slicing the bread that had been given pineapple jam to eat together because Monica could not afford to eat it herself.

at this time, they walked up the stairs to the top floor where their rooms were and were next to each other. Monica tries to act casual with Raymond even though she's starting to get nervous and afraid to get carried away.

"Monica," Raymond called when he arrived at the door.

Monica turned and stopped in her tracks. "Yes, why?"

Raymon was silent for a moment with mixed feelings. He wanted to express all the love in his heart for Monica, but he felt he had to say it in a comfortable and romantic atmosphere.

"Eh, go to sleep as soon as you're in the room. And... Have a nice dream," said Raymond a bit nervously.

"Oh, you should go to sleep too and.. have a nice dream," Monica replied with a warm smile.

"See you tomorrow. I'll help you at the office," Raymond said.

Monica only responded with a nod and immediately entered her room.

In the room, Bryana suddenly woke up when she heard Dean talking beside her with his eyes still closed.

"Don't...don't go...don't leave me!"

That's the word Dean kept saying while turning his head left and right. Bryana sat up slightly and immediately woke him up.

"Honey.. honey, wake up. You are delirious."

Bryana gently patted Dean's cheek until he woke up gasping for air. the husband looked at her intensely, then hugged and buried his face into her chest.

"Why? What did you dream about?" Bryana asked, stroking Dean's hair?

"She... She asked you to leave me," said Dean full of fear.

"Who is she?" Bryan asked.

dean let go of his arm and looked up at Bryana. "Clarissa," he answered angrily.

"It's just a flower bed, honey. Don't think about it," Bryana said calmly then put her arm around Dean, trying to calm him down.

"I am scared. today's incident made me feel like I failed to take care of you so I didn't realize that someone was trying to harm you in this house. I'm so scared," Dean said sadly in Bryana's armies, he recalled the time he couldn't take care of Clarissa until he found her badly injured.

"Throw away all that fear because it's all over. Kareen is already in prison, that means she won't be able to do evil again," said Bryana while stroking Dean's hair lovingly, occasionally kissing his forehead.. she did not expect her husband to be so worried about her that she was carried away in a dream, it made her feel so loved.

Dean silently sobbed because he couldn't hold back the fear mixed with the sadness in the past that haunted him continuously.

"Honey," Bryana called when she realized Dean was sobbing. She let go of her hand and looked at her husband's face sadly. "Don't Cry."

Dean shook his head and hugged Bryan again. "I don't want to lose the person I love a second time. I'm so scared."

"Everything will be fine as long as you are always by my side. Around us some guards are always ready to help us when someone harms us," Bryana said with confidence, trying to strengthen Dean, who turned out to have a fragile heart.

"Don't go anywhere alone, you must always be careful. Because apart from Kareen, there is always someone who wants to harm us," said Dean, still hugging Bryana.

"Yes, I will always be at home and I will only leave the house when I'm with you," Bryana said then kissed Dean's forehead. "Now go to sleep. Tomorrow we have to go to the hospital before you go to work."

"Tomorrow, come to the office with me, accompany me," Dean called out. It seems that fear made him not want to be away from Bryana anymore. Oops, now his wife's position is like a bodyguard for him.

Bryan smiled amusedly. "Yes, I will come with you. I will always be by your side if it makes you comfortable. Don't be afraid anymore."

Dean nodded and still hugged Bryan. He felt the warmth in his wife's chest until he slowly drifted back to sleep in comfort.
