Rise of The Anti God

623 A Remanant From The Old World...

The air in the middle of the sky above was breaking down and ripping apart, with all these powerful ethereal energies clashing with each other.

Nobody could even see clearly what was going on since the battle was taking place among the strongest on the continent.

Still, they could hear the booming roar of the ethereal water dragon and the screen of the ethereal wind roc that sounded sharp enough to make one's ears bleed.

This was the first time people were seeing the mighty figures they knew, getting involved in such an intense battle themselves.

Most of them didn't even expect that these powerful emperors would ever have to lift a finger in their lives since who would dare to go against them? But right now, what they were witnessing was indeed a rare sight, and surely this will become a permanent page in the history records.

With the help of the Gale Emperor, Ruthren was able to push back the three Forsaken experts by using his water dragon to lash them away.

"You three are going to die here!" Ruthren said with a sharp glint in his eyes, seeing how he would soon be able to trap these three with the body of his ethereal dragon and then use the Gale Emperor's ethereal roc to finish them off.

"Haha, true! No point in not bringing out your ethereal manifestations. You won't be able to run from us. Our men are already here. But if you three give us Damien, I promise not to pursue you three for now," Gale Emperor said with a vicious glint in his eyes, already imagining different ways he could torture and end Damien.

He was even willing to make a deal with the devil just to get his hands on Damien since if he didn't destroy him as fast as possible, then what happened today would only be the beginning.

Irene momentarily glanced at her two comrades, who also glanced at each other as if coming to an understanding.

They could already sense dozens of powerful experts flying in their direction, and if they arrived then, they surely stood no chance of killing Ruthren now.

The other two also knew there was no option but to get away for now.

"Ruthren, this isn't over. Even if we won't be able to kill you today, that day is not far away," The tall, mysterious expert said in a serious tone.

"Gale Emperor, your time will be coming soon as well. At that time, I will make sure that you will suffer more than the ones you caused suffering," The other cloaked Forsaken expert spoke with a hint of resentment in his tone.

The Gale Emperor laughed as if he heard a joke, "Hahaha…are you three idiots? We have you three trapped now. The entire Forsaken is finished today. All that would be left is Damien, who surely won't survive on his own for long. My offer for you three to surrender and give us Damien is still open."

"Hmph, not even thousands of you are worth Damien. We also never give up our own no matter what," Irene said with a dark expression as she took out a small metallic silver ball and threw it in the direction of Ruthren and the Gale Emperor.

Ruthren narrowed his eyes while the Gale Emperor snorted, seeing this harmless tiny metal ball being thrown towards him.

"I guess you are really—"

Before the Gale Emperor could finish his sentence, the metal ball suddenly began to shine with a brilliant white light before exploding into pure radiant light that blinded anyone who looked at it.

But what followed this blinding light was an intensely loud bang that immediately disoriented the senses of everyone within a 50-kilometer range.

"Ughh!!" Even Ruthren and the Gale Emperor grimaced as they shielded their eyes and clutched their heads upon feeling as if their eyes were almost burned and their ears were ringing, unable to even hear what was going on outside.

Even all the experts that were flying towards their emperors to support them also experienced the same sensations or worse as some of them even crashed to the ground.

The last thing they expected was to have their senses thrown into disarray without even directly getting attacked. Hell, they didn't even understand what really happened.

All they knew was they were flying towards their leaders, and the next moment, a brilliant white light seemed to cover the entire space before, along with an ear rendering loud bang that literally shook up whatever was inside their heads.

Ruthren and the Gale Emperor quickly tried to open their eyes, but their visions seemed shaky and blurry. But the sense of disorientation was fading away faster than the experts behind them.

However, they realized that the three Forsaken experts had already escaped, and surely nobody would be able to catch them now that they must already be too far away.

It was a common understanding that if someone ever lets a Profound Ethereal Realm cultivator escape, then there was a good chance nobody would be able to catch them unless they revealed themselves again.

But Ruthren and the Gale Emperor were now more concerned about what they had just experienced and saw, especially that tiny metal ball.

How could something so small affect powerhouses like them? It was no different than learning that a small rock could make them bleed. It just didn't make sense. They could smash mountains to dust, and now what looked like a child's toy incapacitated them for at least a few seconds.

Even if it was for just a few seconds, they knew that even a single second can change everything, especially in a battle.

"Xeton Emperor, what the hell was that? How did they get their hands on such a powerful treasure??" The Gale Emperor asked with a frantic light in his eyes, feeling that if he was able to get his hands on even just one of them, then it could truly be a lifesaver.

The Xeton Emperor's expression became taut as he mumbled, "It is probably an ancient treasure from the…old world…"
