Rise of The Anti God

Chapter 515 - A Shocking Revelation

Damien wasn't even conscious enough to see Reva rush inside as a powerful jet of ice shot towards Yohr, who still didn't let go of Damien but stopped doing whatever he was doing while simply looking in the direction of Reva and snorted as he swatted the jet of ice with his tail.

"Child, do you really think that you can use my own ethereal arts against me? It is nothing but a child's play for me to disintegrate my own attacks with just my body. Now, why did you come here? You could have led a good life with everything I gave you, especially since you were born with a special constitution that let you receive a part of my divine soul. Nobody would have been able to rival you in this world," Yohr said as he shook his head as if in pity.

If Damien had seen that Reva was able to use ice attacks, he would have been in for yet another shocker, though he would find it natural considering Reva inherited Yohr's divine, ethereal arts.

Reva's face was extremely contorted with anger, shock, and confusion since she never expected to see her lover almost getting killed by her benefactor and Master.

She was standing outside the icy cave when she noticed the ground shaking, and even if she found it strange, she decided to stay put as her Master instructed and thought that maybe he was showing something to Damien.

But still, the tremors continued continuously, which made her slightly suspicious, and she suddenly felt a bad feeling about it.

And so she decided to at least check out things for herself and took a look to see what was going on in there between Damien and her Master, only to see the most shocking thing in her life…Her Master holding her lover with a sinistrous aura around him but seeing Damien with bloodied injuries here and there was made her heart drop, thinking if the unthinkable happened to him.

Only when she noticed that there was still life in his body did she feel a huge amount of relief.

And now here she was, clenching her fists as she faced her own Master who guided her and taught her since she was just a small child.

"I don't really care. But I trusted you, Master…I believed in everything you said, but now I realized that you had been lying to me this entire time. Even the reason you guided me gave me your legacy must be for some other reason," Reva's slender eyebrows were extremely furrowed, feeling sad and betrayed, realizing that she and the others were just fools all this time, being played in the palm of a divine being.

"Foolish girl, did you really think good things happen to someone without reason, especially to someone like you? Did you seriously think I would jeopardize my divinity by giving you everything just like that? How could your mere mortal life even be compared to mine? In fact, you should feel honored that I was going to take over your body and build a new life and soon escape the shackles around me. With my divine powers, I can easily alter my body into my original one. But forget it…You brought me a treasure trove in the form of your lover, and this is the aptest gift you could give to your master for nurturing a mortal like you for all these years personally. Now all I have to do is take over his body and then absorb back my divine essence from you. Thinking about it, even if you didn't come here, you would have met the same end."

Reva's blood had gone entirely cold hearing how her own Master had been nurturing her just to kill her in the end. This was a severe blow to her since it felt no different than a family member betraying you, though she didn't consider him as one anymore.

Her Master had given her the power to stand up for herself and was the one thing she was most grateful to him for. But now, even if she was facing a god, her glare became piercingly cold as she asked, "So you never cared about us Zirians or our cause."

Yohr chuckled in a menacing way, "Ha, Zirians? I am the one who crushed the original Zirian Empire since they were…let's say, a bit uncooperative? Your ancestors from the Xeton side were willing to even lick my feet, and so I thought they would be more fit to rule these lands."

This was yet another shocker to Reva, who couldn't believe that they were being played from the beginning.

"But why…Why would you meddle in the affairs of mortals?"

"Obviously, I hate being stuck inside this dirty realm like a prisoner. So the only fastest way to recover my divine essence at that time was by gifting a drop of my blood essence to your Zirian and Xeton ancestors and waiting for them to create as many kids as possible who would inherit some of the powers of their predecessors. And then all I had to do was manipulate one side to enslave the other and use them to absorb back their complete essence for my recovery, even if it might take a very long time. But imagine how I was able to create a potentially endless supply to this day that even continues till this day. The Zirians were just too upright for my convenience, and not everyone is as compliant as your father. So you people can only blame yourselves, hehe," Yohr was taking the time to explain things, not because he was kind enough to answer her questions but because he realized his own soul was injured from Luna's attacks and needed a little more time before he could initiate the process to take over Damien's body.

So he thought, why not amuse himself with Reva's reaction after she hears the truth.

Reva couldn't believe how her ancestors were fooled, enslaved, and used all for the vile needs of this god. She felt disgusted, angry, and resentful, especially now that Yohr was planning to take away her lover as well.

"I won't let your hurt my people anymore…" She said with a frigid glare, making Yohr open his mouth to ridicule her, only to have his eyes widen in shock the next moment.
