"This has to be a big joke! Why would the antidote for the Phasma Decur Poison cost 1000 Arcanium?!" Felicia shouted loudly before starting to curse the Arcane Shop's greediness.

She was still a bit agitated and reeling from the effects of the rapid change of events of the last hour, and felt like she had been riding on a rollercoaster the whole time.

"The System really wants us to sell our kidneys for a mere antidote…" Derek mumbled while scratching the back of his head.

He was already having a hard time considering whether he should use the Arcane System's loaning system to loan 50,000 Arcanium with an interest rate of 12% per year. His Soul would be the collateral and he would have to pay 500 Arcanium every month. He really couldn't afford to pay 1000 Arcanium to buy an antidote.

"It looks like the mutation of the animals in the sewers is quite complex, and so is their poison. I would have never expected ordinary animals to be able to mutate to such an extreme degree in less than two weeks after the gates to the Nine Realms opened.

The Arcane Power shouldn't be strong eno–....wait…we're in the northern part of the city's outskirts right now, right?" Liam had been deep in thought and focused on the Phasma Decur Poison, one of the strongest Circleless poisons when a thought occurred to him. It was highly contagious and lethal enough to eradicate entire races as it spread through the air.

A single breath taken near an infected was enough for the Phasma Decur Poison to enter the immune system and start wreaking havoc in the following days.

That was also why the Phasma Decur Poison was considered the most dangerous Circleless poison. Even weaker beings with one Arcane Circle were not able to survive the deadly effects of the poison.

Thus, while being focused on the poison and the danger they encountered, Liam forgot their current position and the massive and detailed amount of information at his disposal.

He knew everything about the Jula Valley and the surrounding regions. This included where the sewers were located, what kind of monsters called it their home, and what could have caused this extreme case of mutation.

"That's roughly correct. Though the dojo is considered to be in the central region of Stura, it's actually at the border of the northern outskirts. The infrastructure of Stura is a little confusing. Maybe this will change once the city will be rebuilt…well, if that were to happen in the future, I mean," A middle-aged woman with nice facial features said.

She was quite beautiful and had a great figure that only paled a little in comparison to her daughter's figure. The middle-aged woman was Felicia's Mother, Tiana Jaul, and she was quite composed when faced with Liam's intense stare.

She didn't seem to have a problem maintaining eye contact with him, which was quite a rare sight ever since his Devil's Eyes Soultrait awoke. Most people were rather uncomfortable being subjected to the intense gaze of his royal purple eyes. That had already been the case in the past, but it was only stronger now that his Soultrait altered his eyes passively and actively.

"Extracting the Phasma Decur Poison, every bit of it at that, will not be easy. The antidote is quite important to procure. Without it, we cannot create temporary immunity against the Phasma Decur Poison, forget about permanent immunity. We need 20 doses of the antidote to get rid of the poison, so we either try to fetch 20,000 Arcanium, or the situation will turn a little bit more annoying," Liam explained before he fell deep in thoughts again.

A few seconds passed before Felicia's father pointed out something the others were also wondering. However, they were not sure how to point out the mistake Liam made.

"Aren't we 21 people though? I mean, our group consists of 15 people and you guys are six. Or is your rac…is your kind immune to the Phasma Decur Poison?" Felicia's father was not sure how to converse with Liam, fearing that even a single wrong word would make Liam throw a fit of rage.

Not that it mattered what Felicia's father thought, Liam was certainly a member of a foreign race, but he had a slight resemblance to humans. He was not too sure if a Soultrait could cause the growth of a black horn, or the alteration of the eye color, however, he knew that Liam's attitude and actions were foreign to a native from Haltan.

There was no way that Liam was a native, so saying that he came from a different race was fine…right?

While Felicia's father was having a hard time questioning himself what Liam's relationship with his daughter was, what kind of race he belonged to, what Liam's plans were, and if he planned to sacrifice them for some sort of Infernal Ritual, or as a tribute to the God of the Devils, if something like that existed, in the first place.

"Oh, I was already infected by it. I'm fully immune to the Phasma Decur Poison. I don't need the antidote. My mother infected me with the Phasma Decur Poison, accelerated the progress, and dumped me into the capital of her opponents….let's just say that it was not a nice experience for everyone.

"Your…mother infected you…and she threw—..." Tiana summarized, just for her to feel Felicia's reaching out for her mother's arm. Tiana stopped and looked at her daughter, who was slowly shaking her head.

'Hm? Why is my daughter looking so sad right now? I won't bite Liam, don't worry!'

Tiana looked at her daughter with a raised eyebrow. Felicia's expression was a little sour upon hearing what Liam had said and a trace of sadness filled her eyes.

"If you're immune, why are you even helping us? What will you gain from helping us?" A middle-aged man suddenly asked, waving a dagger in front of him. He stared at Liam in anger and was evidently suspicious about his actions.

For him, Liam and all other invaders were exactly the same bloodthirsty killers.

But that was not really something Liam cared about. In fact, he was not really different from the invaders.

"I don't really give a shit about you. However, to make sure that there are no problems, everyone has to be healed. I just care about my people, you can just die. That way, we don't need to buy 20 antidotes but only 19."
