"And!?" Kana's palms became a little sweaty. This was the moment she had been waiting for this entire time.

"I should be able to cause a leak in the barrier. How many memories will come out, I am not sure but, it should allow you to remember something. The barrier itself is something no man could ever make, and even creating a small leak is going to be very difficult." Eve replied.

"Let's do it. What do I need to do?" Kana asked.. She was willing to take anything, even if it was only a leak.

"Please head to the medical bay," Eve answered.

Eden…

"Old man... Is this safe?" Aruya was a little worried. She did not know how powerful that A.I. thing was that Kana had created in her past life, but this was a barrier made by the god of creation. It should not be so simple to break!

"It should be fine. I made it so she could access some of it if she did regain her previous life's memories. But I plan to help out a bit this time. I realized now that I might have made the barrier too strong. It took a little over a hundred years for it to actually analyze it."  The old man replied. This got him a death glare from Aruya. "I will make sure she can remember you all too… But we will start with the hard part… The thing that made her almost lose everything before I let her remember you all and her loved ones. Actually… Come with me..."

The old man waved his hand, wrapping the four elementals up and disappearing from where he stood. When he reappeared, a long needle was about to enter Kana's head. "I guess I should stop this." With another wave of his hand, the needle froze centimeters from Kana's skull.

"Who are you!?" Eve yelled out as the warning signals on the ship began going off. The automated turrets fell down from the ceiling and were all trained on the old man.

"Now now… No need to be so hasty. It's not like they can hurt me anyway, but she may be mad if I destroy them, so..." The old man blinked, and everything went back to normal. "Your name is Eve, correct?"

"Yes..." Eve answered reluctantly.

"I am going to wake her up. You do not need to do the operation as I am the one who put the barrier on her memories." Before Eve could reply, he snapped his fingers, and the once sleeping Kana's eyes began to flutter as she opened them. She blinked a few times and frowned. "Eve, nothing happened. Did something go wrong?"

"Master, you have a visitor..." Eve announced.

Kana turned her head to look at the old man and four others behind him with eyes full of confusion. "May I ask how you got aboard my ship?"

"Little lady, there is no place I can not go. In fact, I am here to help you. I stopped your little A.I. from doing the operations because it would have only given you a foggy memory. I was only planning to assist a little bit, but with how a little over a hundred years have passed with no improvement in regaining any of your memories, I decided that I went about this the wrong way. But truly, it seems that this will still work. I will remove your seal, but you must make a contract with me." The old man replied. Aruya, Naru, Aoi, and Ganjo had their voices sealed, so they could not say a word and still could not talk to Kana through their connection. They each wanted to run forward and hug her, but they were unable to.

"Contract, what kind of contract?" Kana narrowed her eyes. She would not sign things easily.

"It's a simple one. Besides the four behind me, I will allow you four more helpers to bring along with you. Their names are Lysairth, Eie, Ti'an, and Misaki. They will be of great help to you during your coming journey.  But you will not be able to go to your old world at all. You must search for the other memories out there and raise your power enough to reach the sea of stars. Because the loved ones you will seek after regaining your memories will be waiting for you there. If you break this contract, your memories of those you love will be gone forever.

"It is not a bad deal. You get to regain your memories, and as long as you gain the power to reach the sea of stars, you will be able to see them again." The old man did not want Kana to slow down their progress. They were doing well and gaining strength with every passing day. Kana was the only one lagging behind now, and this was his own fault.

"How do I gain the power to reach the sea of stars? And why did you seal my memories?" Kana asked. She had no idea what the sea of stars was, but if it would allow her to remember everything and meet these loved ones, she would do anything, and it was not like she had a choice. The person in front of her seemed to be the one who sealed her memories in the first place.

"Once I unseal your memories, you will know how to grow stronger as for why. You will understand. I will start this process slowly. And I will start with the memory that caused me to seal them in the first place. It will be painful..." The old man did not mean physically, he meant mentally. The loss of a loved one was never easy.

"Then I agree, you can start." Kana bit her lip and prepared for the worse. She saw the old man nod and then reach his hand out towards her head. A golden light flowed out of his hand and into her forehead. And that was when it happened, a loud explosion and an empty scorched earth. Tears began to flow as Kana held her head. But this time, she was not freaking out. She was supported by her memories of her past life this time. The harshness of losing so many lives and having it be all your fault. Her family and friends were all gone because of her. But this did not mean she was not sad. "Ceilie..."

Kana pulled her knees up to her chest as the tears flowed. God waved his hand, letting the four elementals free. Aoi and Aruya pushed Naru and Ganjo out of the way as they ran over and hugged Kana.

"Mama?" Bell's worried voice came from the door. She opened it slowly only to see the old man standing there and her Mama on the surgery bed crying. "What did you do to my Mama!?"

"Go comfort her, little lass. Your Mama is regaining the memories she has been searching for." The old man replied.

Bell edged around the old man and quickly made her way to Kana while keeping an eye on the old man. Seeing this, the old man chuckled and smiled. "It seems she will always be loved by many no matter what life she lives in."

It took an hour for Kana to really recompose herself. She looked up at the old man with teary eyes and nodded her head. "Continue."

One after the other, her memories came flowing back to her allowing her to remember everything from start to finish, the good times, the bad times, and all her loved ones. With each new memory, she shed more tears, some sad, some happy. What really got to her was that one hundred years had passed, and she had not seen her family in such a long time. She had not seen the man she loved with her whole heart. "This contract  won't allow me to see or contact them now, will it?"

Kana felt depressed about not being able to say anything to Creige and her babies. The old man sighed and waved his hand. Four orbs flew over to Kana and fell in her lap. "This will allow you to send them one message each. Although you will not get a reply, you will be able to at least say what you want to say. As for your connection to your husband, I restored it. He is already jumping for joy."

Kana let out a laugh and smiled as she imagined Creige right now. "I'm sure he is. I must ask… Can you..."

"Don't worry. They will not die. I will not let them. I promise you this." The old man looked directly in Kana's eyes as he said this. Although he would not bring those back from the dead, he would protect those she held dear until she finally took his place. What she did after that was up to her. She would have the ability to do as she pleased.

"Then give me some time before you bring the other four here. I want to record these messages first."
