Panda Novel

As he spoke, little Bai Hechou suddenly shouted, “Baba, ah, ah!”

Hong Dali was sweating all over. “It’s papa, not baba!”

Little Bai Hechou: “Baba, ah!”

“Alright, what shall I do with you.” Hong Dali took out a Dali bean from his bag. “Eat this, that should fill you up.” Dali bean, one for little Bai Hechou, one for Sister Xiao Yi, one for Quentin… Aye? Where is Quentin?

Hong Dali: “Oh, where is Quentin? It’s been sleeping a lot recently. Its fur is turning white too. What has he become?”

“This…” Zhang Yi became embarrassed. “I changed it a little…”

What the heck! Are you addicted to changing genetics?!

Hong Dali’s nose was almost dripping. “What has it become?”

“This…” Zhang Yi got a little scared. She was afraid Hong Dali would blame her. “Anyway, it’s still alive. Aiya, I’m a little tired. I’m going to bed!” She rushed off in a jiffy…

This, what happened to our Quentin? See how fast Zhang Yi rushed off, could it be, something had happened to Quentin?

Soon, Hong Dali knew he thought too little about it…

Because due to telepathy or something, Quentin came over itself…

It was a white tiger about 2 meters long. It was not quite appropriate to call it a tiger. Quentin was covered in a gold carapace, together with its black and white coat of fur, it looked really fierce. Especially the folded carapace on its head, it looked like a golden helmet.

“This… this…” Hong Dali stared in bewilderment. This is our Quentin? It should be called Golden Egg now?!

“Aowu!” As soon as it saw Hong Dali, Quentin stood up on two legs and pounced on Hong Dali with its two front paws, scraping on his neck.

Needless to say, it must be hungry…

“Be good.” Hong Dali gave it a Dali Bean. “Eat and go to sleep!”

Quentin ate the Dali Bean with satisfaction and walked away…

“Hu, things have finally settled down.” Hong Dali wiped the cold sweat off his forehead and let out a long breath.

There’s too much information today. A super little monster, little Bai Hechou who could fly, a mutated white tiger with gold armor… Damn it. Thankfully, my heart is strong enough. If it were someone else, they would get scared to death…

The crowd knew Hong Dali didn’t like people surrounding him. Hence, they went on their way. It was finally quiet.

“Ah, it’s finally quiet…” Hong Dali let little Bai Hechou ride on his shoulder. A group of people joked and laughed while heading toward Chuyin’s laboratory. “Forget it, don’t think too much for now. Let’s go over to Chuyin and see what’s going on.”

The reason why they rushed back to the aircraft carrier was because of the completion of the Holographic Game Helmet. But Chuyin said something happened to the helmet. No one knew what happened.

The crowd entered the aircraft carrier body. Lin Chuyin’s laboratory was right in front of Big Fish’s hull.

The laboratory was different from when it was at Chenhui Building. The laboratory had completely transformed into a high-tech laboratory. All the devices in the laboratory used holographic projection technology. Everything was designed by holographic projection and then calculated by computers. After all the calculations were completed, the model would be successfully produced, and then directly handed to Running Dog for production.

The technology development in Chuyin’s laboratory was swift. Imagine the laboratory in the movie Iron Man, which starred Tony Stark—Chuyin’s laboratory was similar but much more advanced. After all, Hong Dali was specialized in squandering. Everything was the best. There were even six Running Dogs specially calculating Chuyin’s technology blueprint…

“Chuyin, haha. How have you been?” Hong Dali laughed as he walked into the laboratory. He opened his arms once he saw Lin Chuyin. “Come, give me a hug!”

“Orh…” Lin Chuyin didn’t have much resistance against Hong Dali’s request. She hugged Hong Dali lukewarmly, and then said, “Something is wrong with the Holographic Game Helmet, that’s why I asked you to come back and take a look.”

En, this lass doesn’t know how to express herself. Hong Dali was used to it. He nodded. “En, noted. Let me see what happened.”

He instructed one of the Running Dogs. “Which Running Dog are you, bring over the Holographic Gaming Chamber.”

“I’m Running Dog number 5, Young Master.” Running Dog number five sounded despondent. “You always forget who I am, it’s so sad…”

Hong Dali kicked it aside. “Don’t be sad, I’m confused, and even more upset than you. Go along and do your work!”

“Yes, Young Master.” Running Dog ran along and brought back the gaming chamber which was almost as tall as a person. It was a silver-white gaming chamber. There were a lot of wires inside, and there was a gray mechanical helmet. It looked rather sci-fi.

“Let me try.” Hong Dali laid inside directly. He closed the chamber cover and the mechanical helmet was automatically placed on his head. Some small metal pieces stuck on his head. These were neural signal receiving devices that connected to the neural connection system. It allowed the brain to directly receive signals from the Holographic Game Helmet.

Soon, a cold mechanic voice sounded—

“The nerve signal is connected. User’s holographic image scan completed. Connecting to the virtual internet. Please wait.”

About two minutes later, of course, it felt like a moment for Hong Dali too, the entire world turned dark. It slowly brightened and soon, his body appeared on a magical continent.

It was a very strange continent. There was a huge golden sun in the sky, much larger than the sun on Earth. All around him were primitive grounds and forests, and occasionally some animals. Many of these animals were familiar, and some had not been seen before. From time to time, there would be some screams from the forest, obviously coming from giant beasts.

“Speaking of which, no wonder Chuyin said there was something wrong with this Holographic Game Helmet. I remember our game was not so well-made. Look at this tree, the ground, these animals. They don’t look like cartoons from the game…”

It was no wonder Hong Dali was a little shocked.

The environment was very different from what he had imagined. The trees looked real. The animals didn’t look any different from real ones.

It felt very clear. No matter how good a game was, it couldn’t possibly create such a surrounding. The most important thing was, it looked like reality—Hong Dali waved at a cute little golden-fur rabbit, and the rabbit dashed towards him…

“I can control animals here as well?” Hong Dali tried immediately. “Turn around?”

Indeed, hearing Hong Dali’s instructions, the rabbit turned around at the same spot.

“Damn…” Hong Dali was a little stunned. “It’s true, what’s going on?”

As Hong Dali was thinking, a “hwala, hwala” sound came from not far behind him. Hong Dali turned around and was astonished. “Aye? There are people here?”

It was a very handsome young man. Long purple hair, purple eyebrows, even his eyes were purple. He was about one meter tall and his clothes made him look like he came out from a sci-fi movie. It looked really cool. What attracted Hong Dali the most was a super-long sword on his back. The giant sword looked like it was a foot wide, nearly two meters long, and weighed about two to three hundred pounds!

Such a person appeared within Hong Dali’s sight. It made Hong Dali really startled. “Such a cool guy, who are you?”

The man heard Hong Dali and was obviously stunned. He didn’t respond but continued staring at Hong Dali.

Hong Dali and the man stared at each other for another ten seconds or so. Hong Dali asked again, “This cool guy. Who are you? What are you doing here?”

“Ah, me.” The man finally spoke. “I’m Deca. What’s your name?”

“Deca ah.” Hong Dali tilted his head and smiled. “I’m Hong Dali. Brother Deca, what are you doing here? This is a holographic game that I created. I’ve not released it to the public yet. It’s just the testing stage. There should not be anyone here!”

“Ah? Holographic game?” Deca stared blankly for a while, then nodded furiously. “Yes, yes. This is a good name.” He approached Hong Dali. “I’m researching on this too. I have almost succeeded. But it seems something happened. I saw you once I came in…”

“Aye?” Hong Dali was surprised. “Does that mean, this holographic game connects to the internet itself?”

“Possibly.” Deca laughed as he sat on a big rock beside Hong Dali, asking, “That, Dali ah. Is this your first time here? When will you release this game?”

Saying that, Hong Dali thought for a while and shook his head decisively. “I don’t know either. It’s my first time here. I’m not sure when this game will be released. It depends on the development progress. Hehe.” Hong Dali looked at the giant sword on Deca’s back and asked, “Brother Deca, are you going to slay a dragon? Where did you get such a big sword?”
