Panda Novel

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, was often mistakenly called the Bermuda Delta. It was a triangular area of water which was best known for rumors of supernatural phenomena and violations of physical laws.

Rumors had it that many of the passing ships, planes, and people would go “mysteriously missing” due to the extremely abnormal environment there. However, it had been confirmed that the Bermuda Triangle was not a dangerous area. The mystery surrounding it was nothing more than misunderstandings, misinformation, and exaggeration of the disappearances that occurred there. It was not as arcane as many thought.

Of course, this was the official statement issued by the scientific community. However, the crux of the matter was that if Hong Dali really had an accident there, the US authorities would be able to explain it easily, and it would be easy to deny responsibility of the matter…

“Haha, good idea. You sure have a way!” Salon gave Itra’s shoulder a hard pat and said, “We’ll do just that!”

“Since there’s nothing else,” Itra immediately stood up. “I will go back first.”

“Okay, hehe. I will arrange people to tamper with the two aircraft carriers.”

Chenhui Building, in the Photon Force Laboratory on the fourth floor.

“Dali, how is the research on the voice control system coming along?” Seated in Chuyin’s laboratory with Hong Dali, the Bureau Chief smiled and said, “I have already reported it to my superiors. The two aircraft carriers are currently being processed for handover. However, we told Merika that they were for our country’s use. I dared not mention your name, for fear that they would be afraid to sell. Of course, this is just superficial. I expect they will be able to guess the truth.”

“I knew that Uncle Chief is the most reliable one!” Hong Dali smiled cheerfully. “We’ll just have them transferred to my name when all the formalities have been completed, hehe.”

“Hahaha, you sneaky little brat.” the Bureau Chief laughed heartily. “I have already helped with this matter. You should have almost finished doing what you want to? Go with me to the underground cave on the outskirts of Tianjing Mountain?”

“Got it! No problem!” Having heard the Uncle Chief say that it was time to go explore the mysterious underground cave, Hong Dali quickly nodded. “I have completed the monitoring device!” As he said that, Hong Dali took a while rummaging through a pile of equipment like Lin Chuyin before finally finding what he was looking for. “Uncle Chief, look at this, do you think this is a suitable size?”

The Bureau Chief sweated as he watched. “Can’t you get someone to arrange the stuff neatly?”

Hong Dali shrugged helplessly. “I can’t help it. Chuyin is used to it. Once she has completed a project and tested it to be working, she will throw it aside rather than arrange it neatly. To be honest, it’s lucky that I am able to find the thing we want. You should not ask for too much…”

“Okay.” The Bureau Chief looked around. “Shall we have our people set off now? What about your little fiancée? Why don’t I see her?”

“You mean Xinxin?” Hong Dali sniffled. “She’s dancing in the house. Hatsune Tianyi’s concert, which will be held simultaneously all over the country, will be held soon. Our Xinxin has to choreograph Luo Tianyi’s dance routine. By the way, Xinxin’s dancing is not bad. I have seen her dancing. The way she looks when she is dancing… Yes, yes, nice!”

Damn you! You’re a moron who’s uninterested in women.

The Bureau Chief barely suppressed the urge to kill him. “There are so many beautiful girls around you, have you not thought about it?”

“I’m only eighteen, and there is still a lot of time to have fun.” Hong Dali answered matter-of-factly. “How can I give up a carefree life for a tree!”

The Minister: “…” *Just one tree? That’s several trees! *

Forget it. Talking to this blockhead about women is like playing the piano for the cow—totally pointless!

“Ah, let’s go, let’s go. I’ll gather everyone now!” Hong Dali stood up and stretched. “Lackeys, get Xinxin and everyone else here. We’re going to Tianjing Mountain to explore the caves! Haha! Oh right, ask Little Mo Mo to come along too. He’s very good at controlling the plane. I can’t do it.”

The Bureau Chief nodded to himself as he listened. Being able to utilize everyone’s best ability, that was Hong Dali’s real secret to success. Luck was, of course, important, but it was not everything. Take the basketball game played a few days ago, for example. If it were someone else, they could not have won!

A group of people quickly gathered when they heard that they were going to Tianjing Mountain.

Hong Dali carried Quentin and Tang Muxin carried Little Meow. Little Wang Mo clutched the remote control excitedly while Ling Xiaoyi held the remote control plane. The remaining eight big lackeys carried the monitor screen. With Lin Chuyin, who was holding on to a corner of Hong Dali’s shirt, and the Minister, who looked imposing in a black-grey windbreaker, the group made a grand exit. Followed by a group of guards in plainclothes, the procession made a sight more majestic than the heavens.

In the distance, a man hiding in the shadow of a building looked coldly at Hong Dali’s impressive entourage. He held a mobile phone with an encryption device attached in his hand and wore a bluetooth earpiece in his ear. He whispered, “The target is getting ready to go out. Judging from the direction, they should be headed for Fengyuan Lake. Based on the target’s habits, they should be going to Tianjing Mountain.”

The man’s eyes were fierce and his gaze cold. He was a member of Tarō Gohon’s Ninja Legion.

The voice of Tarō Gohon from Toyoda Conglomerate said from the other end of the line, “Watch them closely. By the way, has the Sand Eagle made any move?”

“The latest news is that the Sand Eagle has sent out the Blood Demon, aka Red Spade J, who is ranked fourth in the world’s S-class killers—he has arrived in Tianjing. However, we are unsure of his location now.” The man said slowly, “Boss, shall we act now, or should we wait for news of the Blood Demon?”

“Find a chance to act,” said Tarō Gohon in a low voice. “Have you arranged for a sniper?”

“Arranged.” the man replied, “But it’s too crowded here, the sniper has no chance to attack.”

“Continue monitoring them then. Find a chance!” Tarō Gohon instructed.

“Understood.” The man removed the encryption device from his mobile phone and kept the phone. He then swiftly changed his expression to a sunny, normal one and stepped out from the shadow of the building. As it turned out, he had made just one step before a “plonk” sound was heard and he no longer showed any signs of life.

This was literally trouble that descended from above—He was hit by a flower pot that had fallen ten over floors. It was unlikely he had survived.

This little episode did not affect Hong Dali at all. In fact, he didn’t even know that such a thing had happened.

At that moment, he was giving the eight big lackeys instructions to deploy the man-made cloud. “Everyone has to control it well. The weather is simply too hot. If we don’t block the sun somewhat, we can’t go out…”

The Bureau Chief stared open-mouthed as he looked up. “Brat, you went through all that trouble just to make this man-made sunshade?”

“Yes. What else would I be doing?” When the clouds from ten or so planes covered the sun, Hong Dali finally looked satisfied. “Not bad, not bad. This is absolutely necessary! Hehe!”

The Bureau Chief smacked his face with his own palm. To be able to squander with such style was nothing short of miraculous.

How did he even come up with so many ideas?

It was finally much cooler. Hong Dali looked around and asked, “Uncle Chief, where are the helicopters you promised? We cannot possibly walk there, right?”

When Hong Dali mentioned helicopters, the Bureau Chief’s heart pounded and images of the Weibo post by the Angel of Misfortune surfaced in his mind. He quickly smiled and apologized. “The helicopter is on a mission these few days, I can’t do anything about it. Let’s walk instead—take it as going on a stroll.” He was a clever man and quickly added, “I can update you on the sci-fi town and New Lanxiang on the way. You have not been paying attention to them lately, have you?”

“That’s true,” said Hong Dali, smiling widely. “In that case, let’s walk!”

The procession first went to Fengyuan Lake and called for Big Turtle before setting off jauntily towards Tianjing Mountain.

With the man-made clouds in the sky shading them from the scorching sun, Big Turtle the Black Tortoise leading the way on the ground, Hong Dali and his posse seated atop the tortoise looked akin to celestial beings as portrayed in fairy tales.

As it was the Bureau Chief’s first time on the tortoise, he looked left and right curiously. As he glanced around, he commented, “Hmm, this big fellow is quite steady. Hehe. No wonder you always ride him when you go out. The feeling is really not bad.” As he spoke, he looked up. “This cloud in the sky is not bad either. It even follows us as we move… it must be quite expensive?”

“That’s right, these clouds cost tens of thousands to make…” said Tang Muxin helplessly. “Only Dali can come up with such sophisticated ways of being a prodigal…”

“It’s still okay, haha, still okay.” Hong Dali ruffled his hair and quickly changed the subject. “Uncle Chief, I have not gone to New Lanxiang in a long while. How is the development getting along?”

Now that Hong Dali had bought two aircraft carriers, and with his imminent plans to set sail, he had to pay some attention to the projects he had in the Heavenly State. No matter what, they were projects under his name. It felt good to be able to leave others to do the work, but he couldn’t possibly completely not care about how things were coming along.

“The construction speed is quite fast at the moment.” The Minister pointed at the already substantially built Dalaran Technological Tower in the distance and said, “The Dalaran Technological Tower you named is already more than thirty meters high. The foundations are solid and stable. The land conditions here are quite ideal. It will be impressive when the building is complete. All the other main buildings are almost complete except for the exterior aesthetics. The children from Water Spirit Village have all been relocated here. If you have nothing planned after we finish exploring the cave, you can go over and take a look.”

“Yes, yes. This is good, this is good,” said Hong Dali while nodding vigorously. “Ah, the kids all have a lot of potential. The teachers are all not bad—they are all superstars!”

“You brat. You always undermine people’s potential.” The Bureau Chief chuckled. “‘Where Are We Going, Dad’ is the most popular show ever. The cute little kids have dazzled the entire state and then, of all things, you arrange for the superstars inside to become teachers…”

The Bureau Chief was forlorn as the topic was brought up. “You could have asked them to do anything. How much can teaching earn?”

“Education is the core of a state.” Hong Dali continued with a flourish, leaving the Bureau Chief speechless. “No matter how poor we are, we cannot cut back on education. No matter how hard things are, we cannot make things difficult for students! No problem, this is worth it, definitely worth it!”

Tang Muxin smiled coyly and said, “Dali may be a prodigal sometimes, but he does not cut corners when dealing with serious matters.”

Lin Chuyin said, “Oh, has the rail gun I designed been installed?”

“This…” Having forgotten about it, the Bureau Chief sweated profusely. “It’s under production, under production…”
