Rebirth: Ghost Exorciser

Chi Shuyan was waiting for a certain man on the couch in the lounge on the first floor of Qi Corporation at 6:20pm.

The receptionist at Qi Corporation recognized Chi Shuyan, and took the initiative to serve her tea. Chi Shuyan thanked her and said that there was no need to let the man know she was here, and that she would wait.

Chi Shuyan ignored the curious gazes she received. She was unperturbed, and found a magazine to read.

She became so engrossed in the magazine that she forgot where she was for a moment, until she felt a burning gaze on her. Chi Shuyan looked up and saw the tall and strong man standing not far away. She met his dark and sharp eyes.

Chi Shuyan's lips curved up. Not far away, the man's eyes grew darker and his gaze never left her. His originally cold expression thawed, and gentleness filled his eyes.

Without waiting for Chi Shuyan to get up, the man strode over, grabbed her hand and pulled her up. His tone was gentle. "You're back? When did you come back?"

Chi Shuyan smiled and said, "I got back a little after 3pm. Brother Wei sent me straight to the apartment. That's right, remind me in two or three hours to check if Brother Wei returned safely."

Qi Zhenbai's impression of the Wei family grew better and better. His resentment faded and he felt closer to them. The Wei family was indeed good.

Chi Shuyan continued, "I wanted to give you a surprise. How was it? Were you surprised?"

Qi Zhenbai's cold and hard expression melted into a smile. "Yes!"

Chi Shuyan saw the chief assistants behind Qi Zhenbai at that moment. She was familiar with them. She greeted them one by one, and winked at Assistant Zhu.

Assistant Zhu knew very well how jealous his boss could be. He was afraid that his boss would be jealous of him. Although he was very happy that the little lady boss was acting familiarly with him, he pretended not to see the envy and hatred of the chief assistants next to him, and very obediently greeted her.

Qi Zhenbai told the chief assistants not to follow him anymore and to get to work.

The chief assistants immediately understood. Before they left, Assistant Zhu specially said goodbye to the little lady boss before he left.

Qi Zhenbai's face couldn't help but darken when he saw his wife staring at Assistant Zhu's back. The man narrowed his eyes dangerously and said, "Is Assistant Zhu that good-looking?"

Chi Shuyan looked at the man in front of her and smiled. "No, I'm just wondering if Assistant Zhu has put on some weight after not seeing him for a while."

Qi Zhenbai smiled. "I'll make him lose weight in the next few days!"

"Don't, don't deliberately overwork Assistant Zhu. He's big-hearted and big-boned; it's not like he got fat from being lazy." She didn't want to cause trouble for Assistant Zhu.

Qi Zhenbai smiled broadly at his wife's words, which attracted the attention of many people around him. His face immediately turned serious again, and no one dared to look at him.

"Let's go. Aren't you meeting Brother Feng? It just so happens that I'm free. I haven't seen Brother Feng in a long time. I also want to see him."

Qi Zhenbai took her out of the company and to a car. Ten minutes later, they arrived at the high-class Lanting Club, and the doormen opened the car doors respectfully.

The clubhouse manager personally came to receive them and took the initiative to bring them to the VIP private room which President Qi had specially booked.
