Malice was a spy sent by Raven to observe Lucas's abilities, since Lya failed to do so. Malice was also a bug that came from the system's weaknesses and holes.

'That is why I have to be careful,' Malice thought.

"Lucas," she whispered, "I'm here."

She couldn't see his face, but she knew it was Lucas who was coming forward.

'Shit, if he will see the bodies before the system does, I'm doomed!' She bit her nails, 'I need to get out of here.'

Realising that it was not a good time to kill Lucas, Malice decided to flee from the dorm where Lucas was staying right now. She was a spy, and spies never reveal themselves in front of their targets.

The plan was simple: Kill Lucas and leave.

But right now, she was the one who couldn't find an exit.

'It's strange, I could swear that someone was watching me,' cold shivers went down his skin and he wrapped himself with his hands, "where is the master?" Lucas asked himself loudly

He was walking through the corridors, looking for his master.

'Where is he? Where did he go?' Lucas wondered. 'Why hasn't he come to check up on me?'

He stopped in front of the door to the dining hall and placed his hand on the handle, "Master?" he called out.

Nothing happened.

"No, it can't be!" He said, "what am I doing here?"

Lucas tried to open the door, but it was locked.

"No, no, no..." He shook his head, "he wouldn't lock it. Not after what just happened."

He carefully examined the door. There was a small gap between the door and the frame. He inserted the tip of his finger into the hole and pushed it slowly. It took a few seconds to push the door down. When he finally opened the door, Lucas gasped.

His eyes widened in horror.

There were dead bodies everywhere. They covered the entire floor. Lucas didn't know how many people died, but he knew that they all met their end at the hands of someone he had no idea about.

"Oh my god," Lucas said, "who killed everyone."

He immediately closed the door and stepped away from the scene.

He began walking around in circles, searching for his master. But even though he searched every corner of the room, he couldn't find him.

"Master, where are you?" Lucas asked. He kept calling out for his master, but he heard nothing back, 'something is not right,'

He sat down on the floor and leaned his back against the wall. He didn't want to think about what was going on. He was shocked and wanted answers.

"What are you doing here, Lucas?" Luu said.

Lucas jumped up in shock.

"Luu!" he yelled as his voice began to stutter, "I-I don-don't know!"

"Lucas! Calm down." Luu said, "you must calm yourself and think clearly."

"Y-yes sir," Lucas nodded.

"Now, I want you to tell me everything. Do you understand?"

"Yes, sir," Lucas said.

"Good. Now, first off, I want to know why your room has been broken into, and then we will move on to the subject of why you are here."

"Okay, I'll begin with the first part," Lucas said, "when I came to the dorms, I found the door was broken and the lights off, which meant that someone broke into the room. Since I wasn't supposed to be here, I thought it was okay for me to stay there while my master fixed the room."

"And when you say 'broke in', you mean physically?"

"Yeah, they destroyed the window and the door with a fire axe."

"Thank you, Lucas. Continue."

"After I  left and started looking for you, I decided to enter the room where you always stay and I saw a pile of corpses lying on the ground, and blood everywhere. I quickly turned around and ran, but I couldn't get any further because the door was locked."

"Do you think it is possible that it was the same person who did this?"

"Yes, sir," Lucas nodded, "I'm one hundred per cent sure it was the same voice from before," Lucas added to his statement.

Luu placed his hand on his chin and started rubbing his long, white beard.

"Well, that is a problem, Lucas. If someone did this, then we have to find out who they are. We can't let them get away with such an atrocity. This cannot stand. So, what do you suggest we do?"

"I know a perfect idea," Lucas said with confidence, "we should make a list of suspects and interrogate each and every one of them until we find out the truth."

"That is a great idea. Thank you, Lucas."

"You're welcome, sir."

"Alright, so that's it, right? You've told me everything I need to know."

Lucas nodded.

"Let's go," Luu said, "let us investigate these murders. We shouldn't waste any time. The sooner we solve this case, the better."

Lucas stood up and followed Luu.

They exited the dining hall and made their way towards the kitchen.

"I would like to see the chef," Lucas said.

Luu raised his eyebrow at Lucas's sudden request.

"Um... sir, may I ask why?"

"Don't worry, Lucas," Luu smiled, "the chefs are always in the kitchen, whether it is day or night. Let's go."

They walked through the hallway and entered the kitchen. There was a huge stove in the middle of the room. Three men were working around it.

"Hello, gentlemen," Luu greeted.

"Good evening, sir."

The three men bowed respectfully.

"Why are you here, Master?" The chef asked.

"We have some important matters to discuss. Would you mind if we took over your station?"

"Of course, sir."

"Lucas, please take charge of the investigation," Luu said.

"Yes, sir," Lucas said.

"Alright, so what brings you here tonight?"

"We have a murder case."

All three chefs looked at each other in shock.

"Really?" one of the chefs said, "an actual murder case?"

"Who is the victim?" another one of them asked.

"It appears to be an imposter in this place,"
