Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 419 - Knowledge Crystal

It was intriguing for him to witness how much he had changed, and even his soulbonds were astonished because almost everything about Shane felt different to them as well.

His aura was something that had changed the most, and even his mana fluctuations seemed to have been altered!

Because of that, it had been difficult for the three soulbonds to find Shane in the beginning, and it was only the firm connection of their souls that led them towards him.

They were even more confused than Shane about the changes that had happened as they were unprepared.

Thus, not only Shane's bloodline awakening but also the fact that the soul world core was now considered to be his soul was extremely shocking, let alone the fact that each soulbond was connected to the soul world core and thus with Shane's soul!

Shane had to understand several things about himself, but first, he entered the main hall of the Astral Starlight faction, after his soulbonds had entered the soul world, where they felt extremely comfortable.

Inside the main hall he saw his father, aunts, and uncles talking with Talia, Miriam while several attendants were writing down things that had to be taken care of.

Somehow, Shane felt as if his faction had turned into a huge organization, and if he were to know how true this was, he wouldn't be able to suppress a faint smile.

Everything had progressed much more swiftly than Shane could have expected, but what surprised him was the fact that nobody greeted him!

He walked around the large table and sat down on the empty chair that was placed between the chairs the others used.

Squinting his eyes, he was confused whether they were avoiding him intentionally, only to hear Talia say,

"The biggest problem right now is to complete the system missions that allow us to receive the knowledge crystals to create proper basic level martial art, cultivation, and body refinement techniques!

These three types of missions are already too difficult for anyone to solve, and even Miriam couldn't solve them! Shane, with his perfect foundation, should also be unable to complete the system missions, even with Miriam and the Conquerors' help…"

Shane had heard about knowledge crystals, but they were deemed as useless as the system had acted as a supporting tool in the past.

As the name suggests, knowledge crystals were crystals with knowledge stored within. This knowledge varied from how to manufacture certain objects to how to create proper basic techniques!

If the system was still flawless and unlikely to disappear, neither Shane, his family, nor Talia would bother about these crystals because the basic techniques one could create were only worth 10-100 gold coins, at most.

On the other hand, the price for a single knowledge crystal was in the billions of gold coins, if not higher, and one had to solve a mission that was deemed as nearly impossible, only to obtain one single knowledge crystal.

Unfortunately, the situation had changed and Shane knew that knowledge crystals had become extremely important for mankind's future because the system would disappear and it was likely that they would be forced to colonize another planet with ferocious beasts.

Being unable to learn martial art techniques, let alone body refinement techniques in such a situation would be devastating.

Thus being incapable of creating basic techniques would decrease the potential of the new generation that would be born without the system to help and guide them!

Meanwhile, higher-ranked techniques were a different matter altogether.

Nobody knew whether the dimension-spheres would still work or not, which was another reason to rely on being able to create martial art techniques in paper format, only to notice that the hurdles in front of mankind seemed to be never-ending.

Shane hadn't noticed any of that before because the Astral Starlight faction had only been in their infant phase of becoming independent.

The first step was to acquire resources in bulk, while creating as many goods that could be sold, only to procure more resources to colonize another planet, and possibly trade with other races.

The second step was a sincere effort to establish connections with other races that had many resourceful planets and stellar systems around them which made them less dependent on the Primordial dimension than mankind was.

Being able to make ties with such races would be helpful, and Shane had assumed that the Starlight Artisans faction was still trying to complete the second step, and was focusing on it because it was considered to be one of the most important steps.

Unfortunately, the third step was to procure items that were extremely difficult to find and could only be acquired by braving dangerous conditions.

This was considered the last foundational step as the remaining steps to become independent was to slowly avert everyone's attention from skills and the system to be able to figure out everything else on their own!

Other than that it was important to increase the stockpile of stored materials, books, weapons, and nurture more Artisans and combatants who had only awakened the system to make use of the martial art and cultivation techniques in order to stay as independent as possible.

While John Stella and the others were discussing ways of procuring several knowledge crystals without too many casualties, Aunt Kia and a few others couldn't help but stare at Shane.

"How can someone change to such an extent in only two weeks...is he still our cute little Shane??" She mumbled, only for Aunt Loris to nod her head, distracted by Kia's words.

Because of Shane's sudden appearance they had even momentarily forgotten to think about the knowledge crystals, finding which was the biggest issue right now.

That was, if one were to exclude the civil war that was about to start, the Dark Ice elves and Eclipse thunder devils that threatened to destroy the human race and a dozen other races in the next three months, and the fact that the Primordial dimensions and system's condition were worsening with every passing second.

However, all of that had become negligible to the people that were present because everyone had accepted that there was no way to save themselves from the tricky situation, except colonizing a different planet, nobody knew the coordinates of!

Even though some humans were of the opinion that they could fight against an Intermediate and Advanced race, the human race had not even reached the status of an interstellar race. It was a bitter truth that they were far from being able to construct space ships with the capabilities to enter new stellar systems!

So, how were they supposed to defeat two races that not only had planet-destroying weapons, but also fleets of space ships that were solely constructed for space wars, let alone the opponents that had a cultivation base that allowed them to become Immortals?

Defeating the Dark Ice elves, let alone the Eclipse thunder devils was nothing but a stupid dream of hypocrites who had never moved a single finger to help mankind out of misery.

Rather, one could say that they dragged down mankind and prevented weak-willed people from making their final choice- whether to support the Astral Starlight faction or the human race's government.

In the end, most citizens would trust the organization that had protected them in the past, only to realise too late that the 12 Uniters had long since joined Shane's faction that was slowly turning into a gigantic organization.

Talia, who had already noticed Shane's return, looked at a big pile of files before she averted her full attention to Shane.

"How about you, Miriam, and the Conquerors try to solve the system missions to acquire a few basic knowledge crystals?"

However, Shane just looked at Miriam before he shook his head.

"No, that won't do, sorry!"
