Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 322 - Melodrama

While Shane was feasting on all kinds of dishes he had never seen in his life, the three girls looked at him speechlessly.

"Did he starve in his past life, or is starving in this one?? Isn't he scarfing down too much food like a famished glutton?"

Aisha mumbled, while the others just shook their heads.

Yet, what had astonished them was the fact that Shane seemed to have found a food buddy from another race.

He was a young prodigy from the Nasia race and had a wind affinity and wings sprouting out of his back. Their physique was similar to humans, yet the lower body was of an eagle, while the rest of the body was covered with long feathers.

Their head was pointier than that of humans and their jaw was drawn out longer, making it look similar to the beaks of a bird.

However, Shane had never bothered about appearances, and instead, he had planned to focus on the food in front of him.

He had always been interested in all kinds of foods, which had increased even more after he had learned what kinds of vegetables and fruits one could grow..

There were millions of fruits and vegetables that had a large amount of mana within them, but there were also those that had unique traits, increasing the mana circulation temporarily.

This was extremely interesting because Shane had planned to further expand the Hidden Paradise, and  it would be great if the Agri group of his Astral Artisans had more land to work on

Right now, there were less than 100 members in his Agri group, and 1000 craftsmen, clearly showing what kind of occupation was more important.

However, that was only for the moment because the Nightshade flowers' true value had yet to be discovered by the citizens of Igra!

Elyon, Louis, Klerk, and Clara were still trying to find ways to cultivate Nightshade flower roots in the most cost-efficient way, with zero to minimum setbacks!

This was important because a setback could mean that a root would either be destroyed or decrease in quality once again, wasting the money spent on it.

Furthermore, it was more interesting for the Agri group to have multiple projects with different plants, herbs, fruits, and vegetables.

Thus, Shane decided to do some research.

Because of that, he was even more grateful to have encountered Juran, the Nasia, whom he had started talking to as he perceived something.

Not only had Juran picked out the vegetables and fruits Shane had already eaten and evaluated them as delicious and filled with mana, but there were multiple other fruits on his plate, Shane had yet to taste.

Even if he was not someone who bothered others when they were eating, he was unable to hold himself back.

With that being said, Shane struck a conversation with Juran, who was kind enough to answer everything calmly.

He was not annoyed by Shane's questions, and instead, they began to talk about all kinds of things while eating.

Both Shane and Juran didn't realise how much time had passed, and it was only when Aisha, Frer, Miriam, and four Nasias approached Shane and Juran, who were both in a deep conversation, that they noticed it was time to take each other's leave.

It was overly melodramatic because they had wanted to talk with each other for a few more hours, only to be separated by their people.

There were two kinds of scenarios that would suit this situation the best.

One, was that the situation looked like two arch-enemies had been separated from each other to prevent them from fighting a life-and-death battle, or second, that two lovers were forcefully pulled apart.

At least, that was how it looked for those that saw how Shane and Juran were forced to rejoin their own race's group.

In the end, Shane could only sigh, thinking that the gathering started way too early, only to realise that several hours had already passed since they had arrived.

This astonished him greatly, but Shane had to acknowledge that he had received much useful information about certain fruits, vegetables, and herbs he could grow in the Hidden Paradise.

Some of them were not even expensive and the only disadvantage was that it would take a long time for some fruit trees to be fully grown and start bearing fruits.

Other than the food, Juran had told him many things Shane hadn't known before, which included the different levels of Dungeons, along with the information that the system had a certain barter system in the hidden shop one could only open with Supreme tickets, and much more.

Through this, Shane figured out that Juran had access to the hidden shop and that he had been aware that Shane was the same!

On the other hand, Shane had revealed a few things about tamers and all kinds of occupations mankind was able to utilize, which was a much wider variety than most races could handle.

At least, if one were to talk about affinities!

Mankind's freedom of being able to choose an occupation without being restricted on the affinity one's race had was extremely rare and interesting for other races to know.

This gave the human race a huge advantage over others, however, Shane and the other prodigies noticed something about the basic race gathering which they hadn't expected.

While Shane had been eyed by the prodigies who had seen a glimpse of his aura and mettle, others stared at them with a mocking smile.

The same applied to Commander Nuyra, the representative of the human race, only that the other race's representatives were looking down on him!

There were not many reasons for this to happen, and the most likely reason was evident.

"They're looking down on our heritage, and it has been less than 300 years since we entered the Primordial Dimensions, let alone started to cultivate properly…" Miriam said knowingly, and the others could only agree.

In the end, having a few prodigies was great, but everyone knew that the human race had just awoken their planet's mana heart, which was seen as a very initial stage of every civilization!

As such, other races assumed that the number of prodigies humans had should be much lower than that of other races.

Thus, other races had a prejudice against those races with a short heritage. Only time allowed one to nurture a large number of strong individuals with an acceptable mana purity.

Even if mankind was advancing at a rapid pace, other basic races had been for much longer in the Primordial dimensions.

Somehow, Shane had expected a situation like this to occur, yet, it was still astonishing to notice how everyone stared at them.

Due to being the object of the collective gaze of every race in attendance, it was natural for the human prodigies to feel flustered and be uncertain in voicing out their opinion.

However, if they did so, it would waste all their efforts in trying to attend the basic race gathering.

At least, if they wanted to be able to take part in making decisions!

The prejudice against the human race was obviously that they were seen as weak and that only their prodigies were considered to be somewhat stronger.

But even then, most attending races were of the opinion that their prodigies were still much stronger than others.

Their prejudice increased even more after the prodigies from other races had been able to figure out Shane's rough mana purity percentage!

The discussion about the main topics had yet to start, and they were already at a huge disadvantage.

As such, Commander Nuyra who had already received instructions on what they should do if a case similar to what was currently happening were to occur, spoke,

"Before the gathering starts, I'd like to make something clear! I know that some races look down on us, but despite having a shorter heritage, our race is not to be taken lightly.

Our prodigies are as strong as most of yours! Each of them, without an exception!"

When Shane heard this, his mouth twitched and he could tell what was about to happen which caused him to mumble,

"Why am I always being targeted…?"
