Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 284 - Mana Awakening Event!

While the three girls wore long dresses donning their favorite colors, Shane and Jack wore clothes that were similar to combat suits!

They were a mixture between formal clothes and those used for sparrings and showcased their great physique.

This would show the level of attention they paid to their health and overall physique.

In the end, the dresses would show how capable the Astral Artisans' weavers were and would effectively promote and advertise the brand Shane was trying to create in addition to the clothes both Shane and Jack wore that represented the Starlight guild too!

To put it simply, everyone would act as a means to promote the Astral Starlight faction!

Kylia and Jack were still unsure whether or not it would be a good idea to encounter their family at the mana awakening event, but Aimy and Olivia felt even worse.

They had never been to an event with higher authorities and were not even sure what kind of etiquette they had to utilize.

Was there something special they had to take care of or was everything comparable to a simple meeting?

Shane was not considered very helpful in this matter, because he told them that he had no idea what the differences were.

He had been to events and banquets very often, and it had never been important for him to actively think about things he should or should not do!

When everyone was ready, they departed, and it didn't take them long to emerge out of the Dimension Portal which they had utilized to shorten their journey!

Shane was overly familiar with the place they had to enter!

He would have never imagined that only a year would have passed before he returned to the mansion he had lived in his whole childhood.

This caused him to sigh deeply, and the only advantageous news that prevented him from being overly nervous was that the Elus and Forest Elves would be present too!

With that in mind, his father would be unable to do anything inappropriate to him, like locking him up the moment he was found!

Shane thought that this was unlikely to happen, to begin with, but his father had always been a weird individual.

As such, it was better to be safe than being locked up once again!

After they had emerged out of the Dimension Portal, it took them less than half an hour before they arrived in front of their final destination.

The mansion and lands around it were vast, but everything was fenced, monitored, and protected by guards who had already crossed to the Intermediate Dimension!

Most Guards would likely be at the Squire or Ruler stage, while some might have even ascended to the Advanced Dimension by solidifying their liquefied drops of mana!

In that case, they would have already entered the Lord stage!

Nevertheless, Shane couldn't help but smile oddly as he saw the guards because he was not really fond of them.

This was not because they were necessarily bad people, but that they had prevented him from leaving the mansion as per his father's orders!

When they entered the Stella-Mansion, Shane had to show his identity to the secretary that stood in front of the gates.

"Unconditional invitation?" the young woman mumbled, in a slightly astonished voice as she saw Shane's invitation.

An unconditional invitation allowed one to enter the mansion without being checked through, or system restrictions one would have to accept if one were to enter the mansion to attend the event!

The former was not very important and only a formal matter because the latter was what curbed terror acts on events!

It was expensive to add certain system restrictions to a certain area, but this was definitely necessary if mankind's higher authorities, influential families, and prodigies were to gather at one place!

Furthermore, there were other races that mankind had a treaty with too!

As such, it was even more important to restrict every possible terrorist even if the possibility of them harboring any ill-intention was infinitesimal!

However, Shane was apparently trusted by the government, or rather John Stella and his circle of friends who held the most power within the government!

In the end, Shane was let through without any problems, only to be eyed at weirdly, while the others who accompanied him received the system restrictions.

They were not harsh or uncomfortable, but only a protocol to be followed for safety measures!

The moment they had stepped through the gates, everything seemed to take a 180-degree change.

Not only did the surroundings seem to change through the plentiful decorations adorning the huge mansion, but every single person they saw wore expensive clothes that radiated strong mana currents!

This was not really surprising to Shane, because he had already expected this, but the others were astonished.

"The mana radiating from the clothes is dense enough to permeate the air? Isn't it even denser than the naturally generated mana within Basic Dimension?"

Shane just nodded his head, smiling drily as he led the others towards the mansion that was still quite a distance away from their current position.

Nobody paid attention to them, because the mana currents released by their clothes were minuscule in comparison to theirs.

As such, they assumed that the group of five was negligible, and not important enough to pay attention to.

However, Shane liked this because he didn't want to draw too much attention towards himself and the others right after they had entered his old home!

He wanted Aimy and Olivia to adjust themselves to their surroundings before Shane would start attracting other's attention.

This was unavoidable because Shane was supposed to meet his aunts and uncles today!

Other than that, he would also encounter his father, which was something he would love to prevent.

Unfortunately, this was hardly possible, and Shane had already prepared himself.

'If everything goes south, I'll just rush towards the Old Emperor Kalur! Father won't be able to complain too much about me with him around!'

When he thought about that, Shane couldn't help but smile lightly, and he entered the mansion with newfound ease.

It didn't take long for him to encounter a few maids and butlers he had known his entire childhood, and Shane couldn't help but hug them tightly.

They had been Shane's only friends during his childhood and he couldn't help but feel a little melancholic.

Shane's friends looked at him a little bit weird because they had never seen him so emotional, but nobody dared to say anything.

Meanwhile, he heard other guests gossiping about his behavior, which Shane ignored.

There was nothing new about being the central point of gossip, and Shane could only apologize to his friends in his mind.

'The next few hours will be stressful for you guys!'

The maids and butlers he met were happy to see that he was fine too, and they wanted to talk to him for some time.

Unfortunately, that was not possible because they had to work, and there were already a few guests that were complaining about his and the service staff's behavior.

"What kind of professional behavior is that?? If they were my staff, I would have already punished them!"

"I know, right? This can already be considered as a disgrace to John Stella!"

Suddenly, a youth with blond hair who was around Shane's age said with a sly smile,

"Maybe, I should punish them in place of our president?"

When Shane heard this, he couldn't help but turn towards the youth. His eyes turned extremely cold in an instant and he unknowingly released some of his killing intent to admonish him.

"Shut it!"
