Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 243 - Save Them, By All Means!

Umbra's entire head was splattered with Shane's blood and it was only when the Elus race saw a severely injured human-like being on the Horned Darkness snake, that they calmed down a little bit.

It was already weird that a beast at the late-Awakened stage was rushing towards the shelter without any outward intention of attacking.

Even if it were to attack, alone, it would die within a single moment because the shelter defenses that the Elus-race had been just too strong for a single, late-Awakened stage beast to cope with.

However, when they saw Shane, who was barely able to lift his hand from Umbra's horn which he had grasped tightly before, their tension increased once again.

The Guards that had been employed to guard the shelter for quite a while hadn't heard anything about the news of their race forming a treaty with a human-like race and neither had they heard about the first time Shane arrived on Masua, which was well known by many Elementals because it was a disgrace to them.

Their strongest Greater Elementals at the same cultivation stage or even above Shane's had been whitewashed and faced a humiliating defeat against his extraordinary combat prowess.

Nevertheless, the Elus-race's guards were stationed at a shelter for several years at once, only switching with the other guards when they had to recuperate their energy for some days!

As such, they were shocked when their race's royal emblem could be seen on the holographic screen projected by Shane with every ounce of strength he had left.

After that, exhaustion took over him, he fainted which caused Umbra to ignore the Elus-race guard's words as he stormed towards the shelter gate.

Dumbfounded by this, the guards needed a moment before they began opening the gate.

A moment later one of the quick-witted guards opened the system messenger which he used to message one of their unique, nature attributed Elementals to prepare themselves for a serious case of a severely injured, unconscious, and an almost dead foreign race's member.

The Starlight shelter only had building constructions and healing capsules for their own race because there had yet to be a different race to enter their shelter.

At least, that was what the guards thought, but apparently, that was not the case because the royal emblem Shane had projected was definitely authentic.

As such, they couldn't allow Shane to die.

The nature attributed Elemental would prepare itself to receive Shane in front of the Dimension portal in order to determine the severity of Shane's injuries before deciding where they had to depart to.

If the injury was too severe, they would have to use the royalties treatment room.

However, a moment after the Elemental reported the situation with the Old Emperor, to be on the safer side and follow the necessary protocols. A moment later, it received the order to use every means to rescue the youth.

This astonished the nature attributed Elemental a little bit as it had to ask again

"So...I should use the royalties treatment room even if the injury is shallow?"

Yet, the next message was even more shocking than the first one that the nature Elemental received

"I don't even care if you use one of our national treasures to heal Shane, but he has to survive!!"

After Ilya had returned to Masua for her last hibernation before requesting the next Mythic mission, she had praised Shane and the fact that he was a tamer with a Horned Darkness python.

This allowed Kalur to understand that Shane was the human-like being, the nature Elemental was talking about.

Kalur had been in an important meeting with the human ambassador and had been right about to sign the treaty and trading agreement only to rush outside when he received the news.

Malua, the young human ambassador, didn't understand what was going on and thought that Kalur didn't want to sign the contract because of some clauses they had stated.

This caused him to run after Kalur as he shouted

"We can talk about the contract clauses, please don't leave like that!!"

However, Old Emperor Kalur paid no attention whatsoever to the human ambassador as he had already appeared in front of Caera's dimension portal where the nature elemental was getting ready for Shane's arrival.

When it saw that the Old Emperor had arrived, the nature Elemental could tell that Shane was someone important.

This was even clearer when a human-like being whose description was similar to that of the severely injured human rushed after Kalur shouting something.

Kalur seemed to ignore the human ambassador as he stared at the nature elemental before he frustratingly asked.

"What are you waiting for? Do you think that someone who is severely injured can activate the Dimension portal on his own??"

It had been a long time since someone saw the Old Emperor furious which caused the nature Elemental to act quickly.

However, before it could take another step, the Dimension Portal in front of them showed signs of being activated as the blue shimmering liquid rippled as Umbra shot out of the Portal, without halting.

Under normal circumstances, Umbra wouldn't be able to activate the Dimension Portal because the shelter was not conquered by beasts, and neither did it have any finances.

Yet, using Shane's finances by forcefully extending its permissions, Umbra was able to activate the Dimension Portal and slither through it without any issues.

That was only possible due to the special permission certificate Shane had received from the Elus-race, but nobody bothered about that as Umbra's eyes were suddenly infiltrated by the horrific bright sunlight.

Hissing in pain, he closed his eyes while expanding his mana fluctuations to see if someone or something in the surrounding area was able to help Shane.

Umbra was about to drag Talia or anyone of the other humans Shane had befriended over the last few weeks, outside the Hidden Paradise, when he sensed that Shane had been enveloped by a soothing aura that had healing characteristics.

After that, different mana fluctuations enveloped Shane, lifting him from Umbra's back to lay him carefully on a floating carrier.

The floating carrier was enveloped in a thick membrane of mana that released a faint, calming, and invigorating sensation.

When Shane laid on the carrier the tension he had accumulated had been released at once.

At the same time, Shane's two deep gashes spurted out even more blood because his tensed body didn't constrict his severed veins anymore.

Kalur was wondering as to what had happened when Shane regained his consciousness for a second as he opened a small portal.

Suddenly, the seriously injured Lesser Starlet fox that had laid inside a large bed within the Hidden Paradise emerged out of the portal.

Laying on Shane's abdomen that was unscathed the Lesser Starlet fox was awoken from its slumber as it issued a nearly silent but pained sound.

Everything Talia and the others had done so far had lessened the Lesser Starlet Fox's pain a little bit but that was everything they could do with their current capabilities.

Shane was fully aware that it was unlikely for the Lesser Starlet Fox, who had lost lots of blood compared to the small body it had, to survive if it didn't receive proper medical treatment.

As such, Shane had forced himself to take the small silver-furred fox out of the Hidden Paradise.

After that he lost his consciousness again, leaving behind a few shocked assistants, a baffled nature Elemental, Umbra, the Old Emperor who could hardly suppress his worry that intensified when it saw that not only Shane but also one of the last living Lesser Starlet foxes had been severely injured.

"What happened to you, young boy?" Those were the only words Kalur could say as Malua saw Shane's appearance and he subconsciously cursed

"F*ck!"

'Didn't the secretary I talked to say that Shane is someone from a strong background...wasn't it even Kia Mel who told the secretary to relayed that I should prevent Shane from doing stupid things? But...it's not like I could have entered the Basic Primordial Dimensions too...and I had my own workload...Will she...dismiss me from my first task because of that?'

Malua was selfish and fully aware of that, however, Shane was completing a system mission, and everyone, even small children knew how dangerous those missions could be.

Even though Shane had been confident in his combat prowess, from the looks of it, he had overestimated himself.

Yet, Malua was not really worried about Shane's well-being, but more about the fact that he might lose the opportunity to establish a firm relationship with the Elus-race if something were to happen to Shane.

Meanwhile, the Old Emperor was the complete opposite! He cared about Shane because he was powerful, smart, eager to learn new things, didn't discriminate between others, and the most important aspect; he was kind.

The latter personality trait was something the Old Emperor sensed once again when he saw that Shane used all of his strength and willpower to regain his consciousness, only to summon the Lesser Starlet fox out of a hidden dimension, or something similar.

There was no bond between Shane and the Lesser Starlet fox which the Old Emperor would have been able to see through one of the skills he had activated.

However, that was not important right now as he said.

"Save them, by all means!!"

The nature Elemental jolted out of its senses as he used several skills in succession to ease Shane and the Lesser Starlet fox's pain.

At the same time, the bleeding stopped instantly as the nature elemental had used up his whole accumulated mana in addition to the mana of his assistants that had transferred every single mana particle stored within their mana core to the nature elemental.

"Take mine too" The Old Emperor said before he grasped the nature Elemental's mana core as he transmitted his whole mana into it.
