Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 166 - Overworking?

Three days passed, and Shane felt as if he was reborn as his entire being was filled with nutrition and a large amount of mana.

This mana was not only inside him but he could even perceive the mana inside the world seed which astonished him more than it should have.

When he really thought about it, he felt it was obvious that he could perceive everything regarding the world seed as both of them were now one entity, a fact that was still difficult for him to understand.

However, after three days, Shane finally understood why Aunt Kia was so adamant that he would purchase a world seed.

Not only was cultivating harder than before but he didn't even have to use any mana stones once he finally figured out how to regulate his world seed's mana absorption perfectly, without creating an imbalance in the surrounding or even within him.

If his body were to be a bit stronger, Shane would be confident in further accelerating his cultivation speed.

To achieve this, he would only need time because every single additional breakthrough in his flawed physique and cultivation rank allowed him to absorb slightly more mana.

Nevertheless, a perfect physique was even better to make this possible, and Shane couldn't help but become restless to start the next [Mythic] mission in order to receive the [Tier-1 (Mythic)] perfect body refining manual.

However, he had to refrain himself from doing so because it was more important to increase his physique and cultivation rank to the peak-Apprentice rank and learn the Slaughterer's Path martial art technique to be perfectly prepared for everything.

Furthermore, he required time to learn more about his world seed and how to regulate everything, whether it was for his cultivation, body refining, or even combat.

During the last three days, Shane only used up 9 [Tier-1 (Common)] nutrition solutions and not a single mana stone or uncommon quality nutrition solution, but that was still enough for his physique to reach the 4th Apprentice stage.

Meanwhile, his mana purity reached [17.19%], and he could break through to the 4th Apprentice stage if he had more time.

But, this was not something he had to do right now, and he might as well wait for some time before breaking through.

Even if he were to let Frer wait for him longer, it wouldn't make much of a difference whether he was at the 3rd Apprentice stage or the 4th right now, because his world seed made everything else seem less important.

By transferring more mana from it inside his mana pool, he might as well gather the amount of mana which a peak-Apprentice or Expert stage possessed, as long as his world seed left enough mana for him.

This might be possible for Shane now, but he was reluctant in absorbing more mana than necessary from the world seed because its demand for mana had already started to increase and he could never know when its demand might reach a degree where no place on Igra would be enough to satisfy it.

At that time, the world seed would have to utilize its stored mana which was its last lifeline before Shane had to do everything possible to prevent his world seed from withering!

As such, it was better to be careful with the world seed's mana storage and Shane decided that it was the best decision for him to enter the Primordial DImensions and let his world seed absorb as much mana as possible from there.

When he thought about leaving Primordial Dimensions, only three reasons came to his mind.

One was to enter the Dimension-spheres in order to learn more martial art techniques that he couldn't learn through the system, while the second was related to the first.

The second reason or rather event was not mandatory, but if he wanted to receive more hours inside the Dimension-spheres he would have to come outside the Primordial Dimension to attend Shirai academy's monthly rankings!

Meanwhile, the third reason for him to leave the Primordial Dimension would be to finish his mandatory semester exams.

There might also be accidents on Igra or that something happened to his friends, but these were exceptions for which he would obviously leave the Primordial Dimensions.

'Friends...huh?' Shane suddenly thought to himself and he found that it was a miracle that he had friends now, even if he was harsh with them at times.

'They won't hold a grudge against me, right?' He suddenly began to worry, while running towards the center of the Shirai Academy where the DImension-Portal was situated.

'I hope the expedition was not too much for them…' Was Shane's thought in the beginning, which led him to message Amy and Olivia.

However, even after three days, he didn't receive much of an answer.

The only thing both wrote was.

[We are stronger than you might think.] -Olivia

[To see other students dying in front of us was terrifying, but we'll get over it and become much stronger so that nothing like that will ever happen again!]-Aimy

When he read these answers, Shane felt relieved but also worried that they might overwork themselves which caused him to ask his aunt to look after them and intervene if they were too harsh with themselves.

Unfortunately, his aunt's response was not something he expected, and she seemed to have turned into a keyboard warrior when Shane read her reply.

[So...YOU want to tell me that I should look out for these two girls so that THEY don't overwork themselves? Are you even thinking before writing a request or don't you get that YOU overworked yourself for several years without complaining!? These two girls will notice it when they can't go on anymore and should learn that alone. What use would it be if I suddenly intervene and obstruct them from learning a valuable life lesson?!]

Halting in his tracks when he received this message, Shane furrowed his brow and was about to send her a reply, when he thought about her words for a moment.

'Maybe they should really learn it for themselves?' He was unsure if that was really the right path.

It would probably be better to understand one's limit alone without anyone having to reveal the cruel truth.

If Aimy and Olivia didn't want to accept the truth, they would start striving for more and keep trying to become even stronger, breaking through their limit.

With this in mind, Shane could only accept Aunt Kia's reply, when he didn't know what to think about the rest of the message.

"I overwork myself for years? Without complaining??" Somehow reading this made him furious but instead of writing a message filled with anger, he just decided to send his aunt a small message.

[It's not that I didn't complain but that I couldn't. Tell me...what would my father have done, if I complained? He wouldn't have given me freedom or anything like that and instead, it would probably end with him saying "If you can still complain, you might as well work harder". You know him and I doubt that you'll deny it.

I like how I live currently, without anyone oppressing me and I can do whatever I want.

Right now, I even love to see myself becoming stronger, meeting other people, adventuring through the dimensions and I hope it will continue like this.]
